I wear glasses. Although mostly because I tried, and failed with contacts. I tried them years ago, but gave up as I was just unable to get them into my eyes. I never managed to figure out how to keep my eye from clenching shut the second I got it near. Few hours of failing and that was enough. Luckilly though I'm near sighted, so I don't need glasses in all situations. So often at theme parks I leave the glasses in the car.

I'd consider Blackpool and Alton Towers the only truly essential parks. The other parks on your list are worth a visit, but Alton and Blackpool are the two parks I would consider must do. I found those two parks to be in a different class as the rest of the UK parks.

8tons? 8,000lbs = 4tons and about 4.2tons is about right nothing wrong with the track weight. He said tonne, not ton. 8 tonnes = 8,000 kg = 17,600 pounds = 17.6 tons -
How will this black hole affect Uranus?

^ But also, even though it's going to be turned on, it won't actually be up to full speed for quite some time.

Roller Coaster Reality Show
Carnage replied to TheCoasterCritic's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Disney definetly wouldn't, and they're probably the main chain that would be of major interest of such a show. A behind the scenes of a Cedar Fair park probably wouldn't be all that interesting. -
Roller Coaster Reality Show

G4 just started a show called Hurl, where contestants have to alternate between eating crazy amount of food, and then do intense things. Puke and you're out, the person to last the longest wins a pile of cash. One episode I saw even used a carnival ride to get them to puke. Could go in that direction of show. -

They should have bulldozed Excalibur instead. That ride was awful. -

Pilgrims Plunge would probably win for best new water ride. Diamondback would probably win for new ride. -

I would imagine that deer would be scared away by a loud roller coaster. -

So Cameron is actually Hancock? -
It definetly feels faster then FF. Although I think I still prefer all of FF's added functionality through add-ons.

Firefox saves your browser state when it crashes. So if Firefox closes without being specifically shutdown, on re-starting it prompts you to check if you want to restore your previous session. Saying yes to that reloads all your tabs to where they were before the crash.

AND THEN THERE WERE NONE - TPR SURVIVOR EDITION - WEEK 1
Carnage replied to coasterdude5's topic in Random, Random, Random
Is every round going to be a week? If so, it'll take 9 weeks to finish. -
Isn't that a really, REALLY bad idea? So you're going to go stand on a beach video taping the storm surge of a hurricane? You'll just end up adding to the list of darwin award winners who go swimming during hurricanes.

Intresting. Looks more out and back than normal for GCI. I'll have to see if I can make it to KC next year. -
Physics question about speed
Carnage replied to RonLaan's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Might be a better indication if you compared similar rides. Like an SLC vs a B&M Invert or something. -
Physics question about speed
Carnage replied to RonLaan's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ But SLCs have inversions, which I imagine would have more to do with the speed loss then the SLC rattle. MF is graceful, and nothing but curves and hills, so it makes sense that it would lose less speed.
