  1. And that was in mid June, when the weather is nicer. May is a bit more unpredictable. I've had days at CP in May when it's barely above freezing. But I've also had days in May where it's been pretty warm during the day.
  2. I typically go the weekend before Memorial day every year, as that weekend is the May long weekend in Canada. The crowds are always fairly light. The weather though can be iffy. Though the last few years the weather's been pretty decent. But it will be chilly by your standards, so make sure to bring some warm clothing. Even if it's semi warm that day, the park being right on the water can result in some cool winds. And if it's slightly cool on the ground, it will typically be cold and windy once you get on a ride.
  3. From what I understand the 4-rail box track is more used for areas where the track needs to have longer spacing between support collumns. ie you tend to see 4-rail track on longer hills, etc where there is a long space between support collumns.
  4. Not really. Accoring to the theweathernetwork.com, it's 3 Deg F up here, and 10 Deg F down there. So it's colder up here.
  5. Wanna trade places? It's currently 3 fahrenheit here.
  6. Everyone's open to their own opinion, although I REALLY disagree on Wild Beast. That ride has been getting worse and worse every year. It seems to get rougher year after year. Minebuster I don't find too rough anymore, although I also see nothing good about it. As far as hours go, if you end up going early June you should be able to avoid much of the crowds. But as you get into mid/late June you'll start getting closer to school's getting out, and the massive crowds.
  7. Sure looks better then the normal can of tomato soup that I boiled for dinner.
  8. In July the lines for the water rides will probably be pretty brutal. Though you could just stand on the bridge of SRF and save yourself the 1-2 hour wait. Both rides would drench you though. And the beach is on lake Erie. I wouldn't want to go anywhere near it. Not exactly the kind of beach you're probably used to.
  9. Probably wouldn't be too hard to change that zeppelin into Snoopy's dog house, themed to the red baron.
  10. I wouldn't call any of Crosby's fights this year a real fight. All the fights I've seen him in he's jumped people when they're not ready for it. Like that last one where he jumped the guy on the faceoff.
  11. All of the resorts owned by Cedar Point do. So Breakers Express, Castaway Bay, Breakers, Sandcastle, Lighthouse point, or camper village. Choose Breakers Express if you just want an affordable room. Breakers or Sandcastle if you want to walk to the park and don't mind spending the extra money.
  12. ^ Hopefully they keep it up. Ryan Miller is the only reason why I'm not going 0/4 weekly on goalie points in my fantasy league.
  13. ^ It took them almost two years to build a topple tower. It would take them a decade to relocate a B&M. I really don't see Marineland putting money into a major ride attraction anytime soon.
  14. Yes, definetly. In fact you could probably do it in a weekend. Waldameer shouldn't take a full day. You could easilly spend half a day there and do everything. I believe it's about 3 hours from Sandusky to Erie, so you should be able to make the drive and Waldameer in the same day. If you plan your trip in late May or early June, you should have no problems doing everything at CP plus re-rides in 2-3 days.
  15. What about Skyscraper, which was relocated used. But yeah, you make pretty good points about where it could and couldn't go. Though I'm not too sure if some of the rides you mentioned to remove would be the right size footprint for LZ.
  16. Could be a good fit for a smaller park, or one off the beaten path. Like Silverwood getting a used Deja Vu. But yeah, it'd probably be forgotten if placed in a larger park. If CF buys it it'd probably be a decent fit for Michigan's Adventure. Not much else to do at that park.
  17. 5 days at Cedar Point is also probably a bit much, even in mid summer. You could possibly drive down to Kings Island for Diamondback if you wanted to. Or maybe Kennywood.
  18. I always read "Big N Tasty" as "Big Nasty". Though in Canada that burger is called the Big Extra. Assuming we still have it, I really haven't noticed.
  19. The whole park would have been a huge investment that the current companies probably wouldn't be able to afford. But a park could get a decent semi-new ride for a decent price through the liquidation.
  20. Young teams will struggle most later in the season, when playoffs are won and lost. Rookies tend to run out of gas about 3/4 of the way through the season, as they're not used to playing so many games.
  21. Not a chance with the park already having Behemoth. One of the other smaller coasters maybe, but that would be a long shot.
  22. Well, you could put an asterix next to San Jose until they show up in the playoffs. And Washington won't go anywhere anytime soon. You can't win in the NHL with a one person team. You'll have to wait a few years for the Leafs to become respectable again though.
  23. I prefer TPR TV for similar reasons as BeemberBoy. I just think it sounds more original. CoasterTube to me just sounds like a copy of youtube.
  24. I actually liked backwards Rebel Yell the best.
  25. It's at about the 3 minute park if anyone else doesn't want to listen to that stupid song. It looks like Grizzly at Kings Dominion. (or one of the clones at least). Edit: It's Wild Beast at Canada's wonderland. You can see the mountain in one of the frames.
