  1. Love the panorama of Wildfire's cobra roll!! Nice to read this TR, as I'll be hitting SDC,SFSTL, and WoF later this summer. Really looking forward to getting back to SDC.
  2. Try pausing it and letting it load. It skipped on me up to the top of the lift hill, but then played alright from there out. I'm really looking forward to riding this in July!
  3. Yeah, but they'll also tell you the event is sold out, and that you should go to their legal affiliated ticket scalping website so that you can buy it for 5x the face value. Not too mention that if you do get a ticket, they give you 5 minutes to read all the fine print and agree to their outrageous prices or the tickets get released back into circulation. Ticketmaster will always be the worst devil when it comes to online tickets.
  4. ^^ Tell him that Roy can't hear him complain because his two stanley cup rings are plugging his years.
  5. Your biggest concern will probably be the low capacity rides like Time Warp(volaire), Fly(mouse), and The Bat(boomerang). Even though Time Warp really sucks, if you want to ride it's best to hit it early. Sky Rider(togo standup) also has brutal capacity, it's about a 30 minute station wait. Behemoth has pretty good capacity, so you can probably ride it whenever you see fit. The rest of the rides will probably have average lines.
  6. The only time I've ever seen them do it was during Dragsters opening year. I was waiting in the hopeful Dragster line at the end of the night waiting to see if it was going to open up after a break down. They made an announcement that MF was going to open an extra 30-40 minutes because of the breakdown. I ran over, rode MF 2-3 times, before heading back to my locker at around 10:45. My locker was by Dragster, which had re-opened and still had it's line open. Hopped in line right as they closed the line. The ride then broke down, but they continued working on it to get the three train loads of people on. That was the night I rode Dragster at like 1am.
  7. It's in Profile Settings under notifications.
  8. I remember Midway Market being pretty good. Though I also haven't eaten there in years. As far as I know Mean Streak just got the usual re tracking type maintenance done over the off season. I'm sure it'll be open for the start of the season.
  9. Yeah, unless it's really hot the day at CP, avoid Dragster first thing. Early June it could still be cool enough in the morning to prevent it from warming up fast enough. If it's cool out it could be an hour or more before they're loading full trains. And the line moves really slowly when they're only loading 2 rows. Try to get to Dragster mid-day when it's warmed up. And check the weather forcast, if any poor weather is on the way, ride it while it's warm and sunny. It doesn't run well or at all in poor weather.
  10. I used to sleep walk all the time as a kid. My parents would often get up and find that I had turned on all the lights, they also caught me on my way out the front door once. My brothers though found it more funny to torment me. Once, I slept walk into the family room and mumbled to my brother to give me some chips. When he offered some to me, I said no and went back to bed. He came in and threw some of them over me. I woke up in the morning confused as to why there were chips all over my bed. Another time my brothers figured out that I'd do whatever they said while sleep walking. So they had me put on my winter jacket and sleep underneath my bed. (that was in the middle of July). As far as I know I haven't sleep walked since I was like 10.
  11. CF likes installs every other year at CP. At the other parks not so much. CW's trend over the years has been a coaster more like every 5-6+ years. Course that was mostly Paramount, not CF. But still I would guess that CWs next big attraction will still be a couple years away.
  12. Has there been any more word on what's going to happen with the Celebration City property?
  13. Where's my credit card when I need it??
  14. Considering how late some overtime games can go, a matinee might not be that bad of an idea. Nothing's worse then staying up till like 1am, only to watch a bad bounce lose it for your team.
  15. ^^ That just won't happen. Leafs aren't bad enough to tank, and not good enough yet to be a contender. I don't think Burke will be able to get the 1st pick, though he might have a chance of squeezing the 2nd or 3rd pick from LA or Colorado. That would give us a pretty good player out of Tavares/Hedman/Duchene depending on where we draft. ^ I think I'd probably put my #1 choice in either Vancouver or Calgary. Though in the east Boston would probably be my favorite. Also can add to your list Ottawa. They used to have a team (and even won a cup I believe). But the team folded, before coming back as an expansion team.
  16. The Leafs can't even lose right. All they had to was lose the final game of the season against Ottawa and they would have moved past LA and Phoenix up to the 5th spot in the draft. (pending the lottery). But no, they beat Ottawa and get pushed back to 7th. I wouldn't be surprised if Ottawa sand bagged that game just to spite us. Then after the season Burke goes off saying how he's going to trade up to get Tavares. Gee, that 5th pick would have been worth more in a trade then the 7th pick.
  17. Canada's Wonderland is typically always the top seasonal park. Mostly due to a massive local population base with no competition.
  18. I don't think I've ever watched this movie in one sitting start to finish. However I've seen the entire movie in pieces, as I can't even count how many times I've seen it on TV. I haven't seen it on TV in quite awhile, although in the late 90s it seemed to play once a month.
  19. If you're looking for cheap hotels just do some searches on expedia, travelocity, hotels.com, etc. That'll give you some examples of what kind of prices are in the area. Just gotta do some amount of research.
  20. It didn't seem too harsh to me. Actually, his review is a lot like my own visit to SFSTL a few years ago. I also found the park dirty, and the staff incompetent or careless. Although it didn't help that we only had a few hours before the park was washed out by a thunderstorm. Although being told by an employee that I couldn't take shelter from the downpour near the turnstiles, and that I must stand out in the rain was kind of the final kick in the ass on the way out. Hopefully my return visit this summer will be more like the nice reviews I've read, and less like the one visit I've had.
  21. Maybe Kings Island's average guest needs to be reminded where they are.
  22. ^ Gonna be a long, long walk for anyone who wants to ride MF after they close the path. This doesn't really scream "frontier" to me. They seem to be slowly sucking the frontier theme out of that area. It kind of sounds like just a tacky crap load of LCD lights to me.
  23. From what I've read Psyclone was damaged pretty bad by the northridge quake. Probably not the same situation as TG.
  24. Not to mention the TPR letter opener, TPR branding is everywhere.
  25. I've got three of them sitting in front of me on my desk. I've also got one next to my front door for writing "return to sender" on mis-delivered mail.
