  1. ^ Am I weird for feeling like I missed out on that attraction by not going on it the one time I went to IOA?
  2. Many hotels charge $25/day or more to park now, but that's overnight parking. $25 will get you valet overnight parking at hotels in a covered garage. Compare this to parking in the boondocks of a large and flat parking lot that lets your car bake out in the sun for your stay. There's not much value, imo. If you're at a nearby hotel, it might even be worth it calling a taxi to come pick up and drop you off.
  3. Honestly, with way computers are going, you could probably buy something around the $700 price range that will last you for years. I bought a top of the line computer in 2008 to run crysis and it appears that it should be able to run NoLimits just fine. Maybe not on the highest graphical setting, but it should still run and look pretty
  4. ^ right? smh There was a lot of interest in stand up style coasters initially as its a unique way to ride. I think it's lost a lot of intrigue over the years though as that train style has been around for over 20 years, but at the time it WAS pretty cool. I know SFMM had a stand up prior to Riddler's Revenge but I wasnt even born yet when they removed it. I WAS freshly 54" the year Riddler's opened and I thought it was the coolest ride in the world. Better then Batman even. Many years later though, I consider Batman a better ride and judge coasters objectively based off different factors. But I echo Robb's sentiments and I think some of the old stand up designs are much better then what we're seeing B&M produce today.
  5. They should make rides themed to broccoli and spinach or maybe even a protein powder fruit smoothie themed attraction to encourage healthier eating. Imagine the teacups attraction as various types of fruit like strawberries, apples, or pears! I fear that by theming their attractions to jolly ranchers and twizzlers, they are only promoting diabetes.(I'm kidding)
  6. Considering Wild Waves in Seattle is the closest park to me now, I'd like to see either an RMC or GG woody OR even a mack similar to the likes of Helix. Is it likely? No. I don't even follow the rumors for that park but as of yet I still haven't checked out that park since living in Portland for a year. I still visit the socal area frequently so I still regard kbf as the home park. I'd love to see it get an airtime machine of some sort. Mack/Intamin/RMC doesn't matter just as long as it blows minds and wins hearts.
  7. Personally, I like this a lot better then Goliath going SFGA. I think it'll be a more fulfilling attraction.
  8. I just mentioned my problem with B&M in the designers you hate thread, but it's also relevant with the discussion going on here. B&M can put whatever type of train they want on their rides but it doesn't make it innovative imo. a B&M is a B&M whether its floorless, inverted, or your on the sides of the track. They might come up with new train designs, but I find their creativity in layouts to be overall lacking for the most part with few exceptions.
  9. This is the first time I've really taken a look at the construction pictures for the project. I must say the facade detail is fantastic. Hopefully its a good representation for the ride itself.
  10. It's honestly hard to say what coaster company I hate the most. In recent years even the "sub-par" manufacturers have joined the 21st century in precision designing. Its hard to hold the Vekoma designed SLC's of the 90's against Vekoma's newer and much more improved designs today. If anything, I would say that my current least favorite company is probably B&M. Why? Because their layouts just seem so stale and uninspired. Especially when you look at what other companies are designing, it feels like B&M are only trying to get by with gimmick coaster trains but they never really improve or expand of the layouts of their rides.
  11. That's quite the bag of crap. I personally wouldn't even know what to do with all of it. With that said, Me wants it! the precious...
  12. Junior Roller Coaster 1 looks too thrilling for me
  13. I really hope those tracks in the preview come with the game! That Tatsu recreation looks soo good! Excited to see the finished product in the near future!
  14. It would be quite cool if they designed dark ride ride systems for people to play with considering how much more people can do with the new engine.
  15. They did a good job with that garden! BUT..... What if they filled in the whole area with grass or play fountains like the coca cola soak zone at USH?
  16. One thing came to mind, "Its TWISTYYYYY!!!!" Lol looks so great! I am awfully jelous of these over seas parks. They're doing it right! look american parks! Its not about bigger being better!
  17. Wow! Looks like another great addition to the Asia theme park market! Wil be interested to see how this project pans out.
  18. ^ Its easy to pick on the most well known and largest organization. Presumebly if you bring them down, you bring them all down. Though their efforts seem misguided.
  19. Those coaster trains look seeeexy. *growl*
  20. So was it determined Florida's stitch encounter would be too intense to clone? Lol
  21. I watched the blackfish documentary and Im sure there are things SeaWorld managers have done or requested simply for the sake of business, trading whales to parks like professional teams trade players. There were things shown in the documentary that Im sure goes on simply because I know thats the way the world works. But with that said Im not going to stop going to SeaWorld. There's ways that SW can improve their treatment of animals and Im sure they'll continue to do so. In all seriousness I find the dolphin and shamu shows boring and rarely watch them, but they're the main draw to the parks. Without those, the parks wouldnt survive. If the parks close, Id imagine all the good work they do to aupport animals around the world would also go away as well.
  22. Ot appears Timber Terror was my last ride back in September
  23. I didn't think it was smooth at all when I rode it last june. It rattled my brains out! If I were to pick a guilty pleasure... Probably The Little Mermaid at DCA. For the wait (usually none) I always feels like its a good attraction.
  24. I WAS GOING TO POST THE SAME THING! Get outta my mind! But anyway, the lineup for Haunt 2014 has been leaked. It's got a new overall theme: Hallowind Haunt 2014: Foreverwind Gunslinger's Wind Dominion of the Wind Malice in Winderland Trapped (On Windseeker) The Wind Factory SlaughterWind lol trapped on windseeker by far the most clever of the bunch. Going back down to visit my family next week. Im hoping to make a trip. I hope those crowds stay away but I feel like they won't with Christmas break starting next week.
  25. It was really depressing to see you put up all those pictures of a shutdown IRAT. I'm sad on your behalf.
