  1. Who needs proof when you have an agenda and people willing to blindly support entirely based on emotions and not fact.
  2. You can literally see the peoples flying out of their seat. All the peoples. Such a lovely bunch
  3. ^ I really like the ARM drop towers. If the intamin towers had the immidiate drop like the ARM ones do, they'd be so much better
  4. The park opens next Saturday, August 24th. Somebody has their dates mixed up.
  5. *Chants and bangs on table* POV! POV! POV! POV!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. This aint the Morgan rides you thought you knew indeed! Looks abso-posilutely wondiferous
  7. ^ That rift demo looks awesome. I haven't looked much into the technology, but seeing this gets me curious about the project as a whole.
  8. I coincidentally hit both Sheikra and Griffon in their inaugural years. Superman at SFDK is also another to add to the list. The rest were all in my home park, or close enough that I could hardly consider adding them to the list.
  9. I cant comment on the cheetah hunt/verbolten debate but i will say that overall both parks are great. I prefered BGW because of the location and the theme but if i were to go purely off coaster collection, itd probably be a draw. Here's here I broke my comparisons down. Alpengeist > montu Apollo's charriot < kumba (all time fave b&m) Griffon > sheikra Dont forget bGW also has dark kastle and escape from pompeii!
  10. I honestly don't think that being soaked appeal to that many people aside from a small segment of younger kids. If they're really looking to cool off, there is always Soak City next door, or perhaps Knotts should look into adding a small water play zone some where in the park.
  11. Knotts has all the water rides they need between log ride and big foot rapids. If knotts was looking to plus another attraction, I think that bigfoot rapids could be a great attraction. Ive always wanted to see an actual big foot featured some where in the ride! And yes, I would not consider riptide a water ride and i too think its days would be numbered but my gut tells me knotts has other projects that have a priority for the next couple years and the land it sits on isnt necessarily valuable unless they were to rip out boomerang and use all that space. I do think its about time for knotts to get something big either next year or in 2016 when HP opens at USH. Knotts should be in good shape too with all these little upgrades.
  12. Still have yet to go to Enchanted Forest or Wild Waves Theme Park. I suppose I aught to. The Black Bear Diners are nice. I think the original was built in Mt. Shasta, but they've since expanded quite a bit. The one in Long Beach, CA isn't to bad.
  13. Knotts doesnt really compete with USH or Disney. I think the improvements they're making will position the park to be in great shape by the time HP does open. They're beefingg up entertainment, improving old favorites. Coast rider was trimmed all to hell and boring, but I think the main audience that its geared towaeds probably doesnt mind.
  14. The launches to me looked like what you would get on Speed the Ride or from I imagine Maverick or Cheetah hunt. The latter 2 of those 3 look to be similar to Helix in terms of experience, though I expect Helix to have the better overall. I will be very interested to see the opinions of this ride once the TPR vets get a chance to go on it. The first opinions seem to stack up against what I gauged the ride to be like after viewing the pov. Liseberg looks like they have a very well rounded and a very stellar coaster collection.
  15. I think it has more to do with mack's seat design being more accommodating for riders. Im sure it will be plenty intense in all the right ways
  16. ^ just from reading reviews of Skyrush off this board and others, I have found it to be a very polarizing ride. Many who love it, rank it among the top if not their top. But for every person that claims it for top spot, I also find many who genuinely dislike the experience.
  17. Curious - why do you think so? They're both -almost- the same ride, so why would a US park in particular pick one over the other? well, as mentioned earlier, I think easier maintenance would be the reasoning. I honestly am a fan of Mack and I would absolutely LOVE to see more of their rides show up at parks. Manta at SeaWorld is a great little attraction and I could only imagine what they would have created with less size/hight limitations.
  18. Good coaster collection! Lets see if the world market doesn't crash again before 2017
  19. I probably won't go to this park outside of HHN until after WWOHP opens, but when I do, I really feel like this is going to be such a different, more complete experience. I'm really excited about the future of this park
  20. So let me get this straight, you only would have been impressed if this was a 71MPH launching woodie with four inversions? Some people just shouldn't be allowed to have opinions. Well the kid is 13, but his opinion supports the the current national trend of building record breakers because records are the only way you can be "extreme" and "thrilling" apparently
  21. ^ It was done in No Limits 2 (is this the first NL2 rendering used by a park for promotion?), I'm sure the pacing will be different. There was a disclaimer that the video was there just to show off the layout. I mean there were sections of the track that were floating in the air without any support, I'm sure that will be different too. Overall, my initial impression is "Wow." Now that's how you build a ride. Especially compared to SFGam's ride, RMC's talents just look so underutilized in comparison to this. I think some more air hills would have been cool considering the size of the ride but twisties are cool too. There are LOTS of twisties. This ride will be a hit for sure and I'm really excited to read the reviews and see the final POV when it comes out, and maybe one day hopefully riding this thing! More importantly, I hope it inspires SF and CF parks to want to push their designs a little bit more.
  22. I agree! The world needs more coasters like this and less gimmicks.
  23. I agree completely. Hell, I even prefer the original version of Spider-man to Harry Potter. I think I would still take Mummy over Spiderman! For that matter, I think I would take Indiana Jones over spiderman, but I still think its a really good attraction.
