  1. The only real detractor about this ride is the capacity. I much preferred Superman to SFMM's Yolo. Seems to me that Busch wanted a quick throw away ride. The ride is good enough on its own, it's not really taking up any valuable real estate and I'm sure it is relatively inexpensive compared to most other coasters.
  2. I think the problem is more the restraints and not the airtime itself. I heard the locals affectionately call it "ThighCrush." I lol'd. I305's first turn must have been pretty intense before they re-profiled it. Wonder what that bit was like. Also Goliath @ SFMM used to be up on that list. Also, Deja Vu (while not too intense) is up there. I don't think I could stomach a marathon on that attraction.
  3. Nina Kleppe does not like! Nina Kleppe dislikes. Much disapproved. In the past, though, the fix to keep people from throwing objects has been netting. I believe thats what they have on Griffon's bridge.
  4. I've heard other enthusiasts say the same thing. Sky rush also gets brought into the discussion as well. Intriguing
  5. Perhaps it comes down to how often the train is inspected and readjusted. I noticed that some of the rides that are more popular within the park rattle less. The fact that Kraken has been reported to have zero rattle (which I know is not true, but I digress) suggests that those trains go through a more thorough maintenance process more regularity, at least that would be my assumption. - edit - misread, I see you have Kraken at 35% (sounds right) I was looking at Krake, but I'd like to hold onto my theory.
  6. My take just off of observations alone, the elements and pacing appear to be tighter on Fury then it does on Leviathan. Personally I think Leviathan looks relatively uneventful despite its size, but for Fury, to me at least, I think there will be a greater sense of speed, the ride ends less abruptly, and those little bumps of air give a bit of spice and variety to the ride. Dont know if it will be better then MF and I highly doubt it will even come close to i305 based off my experience with it and other B&M hypers, but it should be a solid coaster and should compliment Intimidator nicely.
  7. Every park should have a dark ride of some sort! The triotech rides are cool because they can be updated as technology improves. With that said, screamscape said that MiA MIGHT be getting a chance mega coaster next year. That would be very good news considering how mopy ya'll are and how you all seem to be excited for even the most minimal of additions.
  8. The ARM drop rides are amazing but as an enthusiest, it makes me sad that this is the conversation you guys are having regarding new additions to a chain owned park. A GCI wouldnt break the bank would it? Come on Cedar Fair!!!
  9. ^ I'll take a rideable Revolution. It's not a bad ride but the OTSR make it unenjoyable. But to answer your question, perhaps everyone thinks that by removing the trims, those hills will suddenly have forceful air hills, epic pacing, and strong g's throughout the helix and else where.
  10. Having been to Michigan, I feel the park could draw solid attendance if they didnt neglect the place. Is CF really that fearful of canabolizing their CP business if they dared to make MA a place worth visiting?
  11. When tatsu opened, they invited premium members out to be apart of their b-roll filming. That was a fun day. Got 14 rides in. One of my fondest memories as a 16 year old.
  12. I was totally guilty of this.
  13. Im not sure what the problem is here? Looking forward to seeing a new generation of dark rides coming to cedar fair and six flags parks! I hope they dont just stop at 1 per park. As Disney and Universal have proven, the sky's the limit when it comes to dark ride attractions
  14. BITE YOUR TONGUE!!!.... how dare you say that LOL. I'm already horrified and disgusted that SF did that to Colossus. Screamin' eagle is a classis, so they better not ever alter or change it in any way. If they would do that to the Screamin' Eagle, I will be so depressed and possibly even have heart failure. Screaming Eagle doesn't really need it. The air time is quite good and I don't remember it being rough at all. Is it a modern day air-time machine? No. Nor does it need to be. Boss getting the attention would serve the park better, imo.
  15. ^ I wonder if you had rose it a couple more times if your opinion would have changed? Or did you ride it several times
  16. The shape of the first drop is incredible.
  17. After seeing the rendering of this ride, this could either be seriously awesome or seriously painful. Hoping for the former.
  18. I've never ridden Tatsu, can someone explain to me how/why it didn't work? I was confused by 3 trains and 2 stations... I would think it would be 4 trains and 2 stations - 2 trains for each station. SFOG has a double station for their Superman flying B&M coaster, but only one side was in operation when I was there last. I'm thinking it's a matter of the park not wanting to pay for the extra staff? Or were there other issues? Its the fact that they dont use it. Also they stack the line on each side of the station rather then feed a single line to 2 stations like california Screaming at dca.
  19. And will get 600-700 people through an hour... unless they surprise everyone with a double-loading station (not happening). I think a load/unload station would probably work better for sfmm's purposes. They tried the dual loading station once.
  20. I dont mind the screampunk theme. Honestly, it will probably go mostly ignored. Ill have to go on a slower day so I can marathon the crap out of this thing once it opens.
  21. ^ i visited in September and I think those cranes were in the process of being installed. I its an odd placement for such a premier coaster if the rumors are true but i suppose its decent enough and it gives the park another credit. Really think the park could use a solid intamin prefab woody or rmc coaster. It would balance out the collection and bring something new and interesting to the area, also give i305 some competition.
  22. Can we all agree that of all the vertical loops around, the one built in 1978 for that little ol' theme park in Buena Park, CA, is probably one of the best, if not THE best loop ever made? I'm trying to think of other loops that compare and nothing, in my mind, quite does it. The shape and speed through it is perfect. having said that, I kind of wish that loops were more common in modern attractions. They're probably my favorite inversion.
  23. Seriously. They need to round out the offerings and park experience a bit.
