  1. ^Mitch - I respect any decision you make in the end, but feel that this idea would probably be for the best. Your rankings rules!
  2. CWJ scares me. Not as much as having to eat that slop. Yes Elissa, all Italians should be appalled, I certainly am.
  3. Yep - and I was stupid and missed the event
  4. ^^Joe - what is awesome? another stupid face from me or the statement on my shirt or the fact that it is not a picture of Big Mike
  5. I love wood coasters but still do not understand about people using "it feels like a steel coaster" as a sole excuse to rank El Toro or Balder lower. Just rate the coaster you like better in a higher spot. However, realize you are a hypocrite if you rate "airtime" is your favorite attribute and then don't recognize air time machines in your rankings. This is not directed at any individual, becasue quite frankly I don't have the time to review every ballot and compare preference to the actual rankings.
  6. pretty good for a one armed dead guy who can't see
  7. deleted post
  8. ^Were you not happy with Renegade last year? Consider your yourself lucky to not have an announcement about trim brakes for Renegade.
  9. ^^Kyle - that is sure what is sounds like. Riding horseback style sounds booster bike-esque. Surprised that there is no mention of "first of it's kind in the U.S."
  10. Joey - I tried a similar strategy in the early 90's but the players I targeted (examples: Ruben Sierra, Lance Johnson) never quite achieved HoF status. I used to collect a lot in the 70's and 80's, but got out of it when more companies entered the market and player strikes kept happening. I have full Topps sets from 73 - 90 and the first 2 years of Upper Deck. At one time my goal was to buy at least one card of every HoFer, but never quite got there. Still have a ton of cards in boxes and folders including HoFer cards from the 50's and 60's. The only ones that appreciated greatly after I bought were not so popular HoFers like Early Wynn, Hoyt Wilhelm, Luis Aparicio, Nellie Fox. At the time people only cared about the real big namers: Mantle, Mays, Koufax and the sort. In the early 90's I also started buying cards of those who had great careers and might have a shot at the Hall someday in the future: Ron Santo, Rizzuto, Tony Oliva, Orlando Cepeda, Vida Pinson.
  11. Hey that's not fair: I saw my penis today. Unfortunately, no one else has seen it since the Carter Administration Yay - Mitch is posting my fixed ballot so I don't look like an idiot, at least not to those who don't know me.
  12. ^I have it stuck in my head now too, aaaargh! US - The Turtles - Happy Together UK - Something Stupid - Frank and Nancy Sinatra I love the anagrams section on that site Michael Bolton - I'm the local nob Leo Sayer - Aye, loser
  13. If anyone wants to mock me for messing up my ballot go ahead "I'm a man, I'm 40"
  14. Dollywood is so purdy! Who would have thought that Kentucky game would be our only win in a month? Boo!
  15. Hey it's the same 10 people in every picture.
  16. Cyclone has been my #1 for years but I dropped it into the teens this year. Not running the same (or maybe I'm just too old) and it actually injured me this year.
  17. My top 10 for those who care 1- Phoenix 2 - Avalanche 3- Voyage 4 - Balder 5 - El Toro 6 - Thunderhead 7 - Shivering Timbers 8 - Cornball Express 9 - Troy 10 - Any Steel I messed up and should have had Any Steel any #11, but it won't mess up the Wood rankings
  18. my biggest fear with these cars on the road is not that they are so small but that SUVs are that bigger and SUV drivers seem to get more reckless every day.
  19. You can always get your AA locally in Alabama, then transfer to save a little on the college costs. Yes, college costs are huge (it is an investment) but the program at UCF is well respected, unique and puts in close to many employers.
  20. Done - but I'll use Ted's method for the Steel Poll
  21. Sharp Provolone and Fresh Mozzarella rock. If anyone visits NYC, there is a restaurant Bond 45, that serves a Mozzarella sampler platter with 5-6 differents varieties of Mozzarella
  22. The only reason I can think of the one hour policy is to cut staff hours. Every dollar counts with a company losing millions. I guess SF is looking at the short term view that people in the park for one hour aren't bringing in much revenue during that visit. Since there are so few families that are looking for an hour in the park at closing they probably don't realize the harm this could cause in the future by alienating good guests.
  23. Days Inn on Busch Boulevard - besides it being not a great neighborhood, the rooms are dirty and run down Howard Johnson's on the main road near Dollywood - cramped, dirty dated room
  24. I didn't get a buzz from those Carnage Cocktails until the 5th one. Not very strong at all. But I did have fun pointing the blinky light on the bottom of the cup at scare zone actors to keep them at bay.
  25. Who cares why Jeff is eating alone? Why is Dave Thomas eating with Barry? I guess Dave's eyes were not working that day. F-R-E-A-K-Y
