EL TORO vs. THE VOYAGE
larrygator replied to imbordisux's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think I'm stating the obvious as I see El Toro will overtaking Voyage in Mitch's Poll. It appears that many coaster veterans that have ridden El Toro and Voyage both this year and last see a difference in Voyage this year. I for one still have to keep Voayge ahead of El Toro since I got a dozen great Voyage rides last year and didn't make it to Indiana this year. I can't lower my opinion of Voyage based on others' impressions. Dave Thomas also makes an excellent point that a great coaster needs to provide a great ride consistently, all day, all season. That has always been my problem with other popular woodies (Boulder Dash and Raven). Every should listen to Dave Thomas - he is a wise man. -
Robb - I think you will definitely see an East Coast/West Coast split. I grew up in New York and first visited Disney in 1972, then returned in 75, 78 and 81. I can't think of any families in my neighborhood that did not drive to Florida at least once in the 1970's for a vacation. Since my first visit was when I was 5, it was my parent's choice. I never even visted California until I was 30 years old and didn't make it to Disneyland until last year.

^pfft, in Spain we (The Retarded Yellow Hat Club) would have fit at least 12 peeps in that boat. -
I'll agree with that. Also, of course the Wild Mouse at Blackpool.

The women on my co-ed team play for the other team -
Going from this picture...it seems as if the entire train travels through the inversion. OK can someone confirm if V2 still goes that far up the inclined spike as that is probably an old picture. I don't think it did for my, so I've either last my mind or memory and my visit to SFDK was only a week ago.

^It is good to hear that the lines were short on Columbus Day. A friend of mine went this past weekend and said El Toro and KK lines were up to two hours and the whole park was very crowded.

What would rides be like on the moon?

You can't eat anything on the moon, you have to keep that stupid head gear to breathe! -

Rick - Did you get the pic of the London girl with her shorts hiked up to show off the strawberry on her left buttocks? Actually some the girls from San Fran, LA and the other London teams were hot. -
Largest Re-located Coaster??
larrygator replied to pkdcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The largest I can think of off the top of my head is Arkansas Twister. -

I would have liked to see them, also. The hot ones don't quite make it to the tournaments. Although there were a couple of women that looked like Big Mike and were Big Mike sized. -

sorry I missed this posting when I was away. It was cool to finally meet you. You're OK, for a fan of a school with a big duck as a mascot. Aren't you glad I didn't invite Big Mike to GAdv to ruin your day -

I've been duped. I read the title of the thread and thought Hypersonic was moving to the Atlanta Zoo. Good TR anyway and congrats on the anniversary. Thanks for the shout out and be sure to let me know when you have to drive that heap of junk back to Massachusetts

thanks Elissa I'm not going to get into a prolonged argument with Big Headed Mike Softball ability wise, I'm pretty certain that all Big Mike, and his extra 100 pounds, has on me is the ability to hit the softball further. And the experience of him being able to clean out the concession stand of all wares quicker than me. -

Hey kettle, you're BLACK! Some teams need slap hitters and excellent fielders. Versus fat men who hit homers but bat only .300. No way Big Mike could ever play 18 games over three days. Maybe you are confusing softball with competitive eating. After Great America I did make it to Gilroy Gardens, SCBB and SFDK on Sunday and got all credits to reach 502. Oh, maybe I should start a thread Big thanks the Rick for cheering on my team and showing me around. and also Carl, my UK and Spain Trip roommate, for driving me around Sunday and stopping at In and Out Burgers.
