YES! So glad I renewed my season pass for 2017 (not to mention the $64.50 price cannot be beat!) Huge congrats to the FUN SPOT gang! I predict this will open BEFORE Avatar land! (Or at least Rivers of Light!) -
Rank Your Home Park's Coasters

Come on, there are two more coasters in that park. Then again, I can guess how those two would be ranked. True! I forgot about the hanging one. But the kiddie one has since been removed. Still my favorite coaster in probably all of Central Florida. Off to ride it today! -

I love how these delusional haters post stupid stuff and then get shocked when they're banned. You can say whatever you want. Freedom of speech. That does not mean freedom from consequence. Thanks for posting screenshots so we can see their names and what idiots they are. I say make a nice list of all the idiots, and then we can see how many still have Facebook and Twitter accounts after being reported for harassment. Dumbasses!

Are you going during the week? If so then they offer all day wristbands. Yes I am going on a Friday. Just seeing if there were any other discounts besides the $5 off ones. I didn't see anything on club TPR. Thanks again! -

Just rode Frozen today. Some observations regarding capacity: The boats have 4 rows. The MOST people I saw per row was three adults. I suppose you could have 2 adults and 2 children, but that is rare. The boat I rode in had only 6 people in it. 2 in the 1st 2 rows and 1 in the last 2 rows. This is a BIG reason why the lines are so long. The cast members need to fill every single boat as full as possible. They just loaded people and never bothered to ask for groups of 2 or single riders. If they really want to increase capacity, they need to fill the boats. Single rider line. It works for Test Track and Radiator Springs Racers. It could work for Frozen too. -

Heading to the park in a few weeks for the 1st time in years. Anyone know of any discounts? Thanks! Cannot wait for my Flying Turns credit! -
Just got back from a quick trip to CA. Had two amazing rides on Ghostrider. My first one was at night in the 2nd row. The amber colored lights on the entire length of the track are a nice touch. I found the ride very smooth and fast. I then rode it the next day in the very back seat. Another great ride with some pops of airtime. If Cedar Point ends up hiring GCI to redo Mean Streak and add new trains, that would be fine with me. Although I am still holding out on the RMC retrack. The new trains are super comfortable and look awesome Early morning shot from the hotel room as maintenance walked the track

Rode Kong yesterday during soft opening. Sign read 75 minute wait, but it was more like 50. The queue moves really well and there were no breakdowns when I was in line. When it's raining or inclement weather, they can bypass the outdoor portion of the ride and just go right into the screening rooms. The trucks are HUGE and can hold 72 people in 12 rows of 6. The ride itself was fun and will surely be a crowd favorite.

I went to the passholder preview last night for Mako. The good: the ride is fun, some good airtime the 1st half, nice comfortable trains. Ride it at night for some amazing dark thrills. The bad: the trim brake halfway through. Not needed. The WTF: ride ops. Seriously. Every train had at least 3-4 empty seats, and some were running with 10+ empty seats. Absolutely no excuse for this. Solution: add a single rider line to fill in the empty seats, AND fill every seat in every row. People kept asking for the front and back rows, and the ride op kept saying no. Yet the queue is designed with extra swichbacks for those rows, so let the people wait! Also fill the station as well. They would only allow enough people for one train. And since they were so SLOW loading and dispatching trains, another one would pull into an empty station. And they seemed to be in no hurry to fill the empty seats even with a 45 minute wait. Slow.............17 dispatches every hour equals 408 riders. That's a whopping 816 per hour capacity with two trains. Backed up trains Guy Harvey Count the empty seats Logo

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

Just got back from a quick trip to Ohio to see the family and do Coastermania. The event was AWESOME! I went last year when there were far too many people. CP was smart this year to charge for the event and limit the number of tickets sold. The added cruise around the Point was worth every penny. And apparently Jet Express will be doing daily cruises from CP Marina this summer! Rode Valravn 3X (the view at the top is amazing) and did all of the other major rides with little to no wait. FunPix is AMAZING! Just $30 for the day or $40 for the season with a season pass. Easy to use and pays for itself after just a few downloads. Also did Brew and BBQ event. Totally worth every penny! The food portions are HUGE and there were 140+ different beers to sample. We even ended up with extra tickets since we had eaten and drank all we could. A great event that I hope will continue every year. Hotel Breakers. I stayed there last year and will continue to stay there every time I go to the Point. Outstanding renovations, great food eateries inside, and the shortest walk to the park. Well worth the $$ to stay there. And now...the pics! First train on Coastermania day The nachos on the left were the SNACK portion. One ticket. Gemini midway is beautiful at night. -

Beautiful pics. Can't wait to ride it but also see the new marina entrance. I entered the park that way 100's of times when working at the Point and living in the Cedars in the 80's. And we thought it was loud when Wildcat was right outside our windows! -

Which is why I booked mine a few months ago. And after staying at the Breakers last year, it is worth the extra money to stay there every time. The hotel is gorgeous, the remodel was done very well, and it is within walking distance of the park. Money well spent! -
I listened to the whole CD (streaming on EW.com) and honestly was underwhelmed. Every song sounded like the one prior. The only really good songs were the covers from the 80's: "True Faith" by New Order, "In the Air Tonight" by Phil Collins, "Don't You Want Me" by The Human League, and "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" by Tears for Fears. Maybe I just need to see it onstage, but I doubt it will change my opinion of the score. Stream it here: http://www.ew.com/article/2016/03/17/american-psycho-stream-full-london-cast-recording

If you're staying on property, you will get in an hour early. Do Diagon Alley one morning and Hogsmeade the other. If not, prepare to wait. The crowds will be crazy. Single rider lines at Forbidden Journey, Gringotts, Mummy, Dr. Doom, Spiderman, Transformers, and Men in Black will help you get on those rides. The single rider line for Rip Ride Rockit usually moves VERY slowly. Good luck!
