Let's hope those flying drones don't go haywire and start disinfecting the guests from above, lol! -

I found in previous visits, "it was what it was", and who knows if things would eventually be changed? Apparently it was a bit of a while, but things seemed to have (now) been altered, for the best. Yay! And all it really is, is removing buck teeth from Asian characters, and everything is alright, now? -

Chuck brings me back, to when I was on that same China/Hong Kong tour! Thanks for the lovely memories of a really long (23 days!) and awesome tour, Chuck! And blessings to Robb for guiding us through that "flight delay" etc. -
Listening to one of The Best TV Concerts, that's ever been produced. It won several Emmys for it, inckluding ones for Bob Fosse and Liza Minnelli, who starred in it. It's awesome. Look it up. It was quite the LIVE TV special. Sept.1972.

New Flat ride for Oaks Park
Nrthwnd replied to nynehalem's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That's a good sign. Playland(PNE) was also like that (a traveling midway?) for a long, long time. Then, they put a permanent foundation down for AtmosFEAR (the starflyer), and started adding landscaping (i.e. shrubs and more trees) around some of the other flats. Definitely an improvement. Hope it continues that way for Oaks, too. -
Playland/PNE (Vancouver) Discussion Thread

...Or what was called... #PlaylandWisdom (2016) From year to year, I sometimes find all of the ads that Playland puts out for that year. Such was my luck in 2016. The first ad, I actually found on the bus. The rest I found at bus stops and our rapid transit stations, which is where most Playland ads end up. My first ad find! It also works, online. Noted. (o; -

^ Robson Street, that was, probably.

^ Fancy feet! Man, how much did you pay for those, anyway? Just curious of me. I have a pair of what are called Rock Boots (many straps), that I should put on and show you, too. Got them from San Francisco (mail order too), and I believe cost me a mere $100 "back then."

Playland/PNE (Vancouver) Discussion Thread
Nrthwnd replied to Nrthwnd's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The PNE is pretty much NOT going to happen this August. Although they haven't exactly said it, they are offering tickets to next year's Fair, if you buy tix online, with current "Events" planned through this summer. Such as this weekend's "Taste Of" Event... https://www.pne.ca/a-taste-of-the-pne/ For more information on how to buy & vote for Your Fave Mini-Donut! (I'm not planning to do it. Too many "mini-donuts" in my life, as it is.) NOTE: Saturday (today) was SOLD OUT, so if you're planning to hit the trucks tomorrow, better get the tix online. And get 2-1 Day Admission Tix to next year's PNE! (o: NOTE #2: They decided to do one more day of it (today, Monday/25th) and it also SOLD OUT online! I hope they've figured out other "PNE Taste Of" events to happen this summer. Cotton candy & candy apples, anyone? (o; Yum! -

We're doing Movie Nights on Wed. and Sunday evenings. And they consist of movie series that we can binge on, one after the other. And they are DVDs that we own. Not renting like we usually do. We just finished the Harry Potter series. Now we're watching The Hobbit films, followed of course, by the Lord of The R-ings films. In the order they were supposed to be watched. We may tackle the Star Wars films, but not yet. So that's what we're now doing, in regards to movies. Ones that we've collected...and neglected over the years.
