  1. ^ I saw that, and it made me wonder what languages is this sing-a-long going to be in? Not to mention, nearly all the "songs" from all Cirque's shows are not (to me) 'memorable' etc. But I took and look and listen. It was nice. Loved all the acts in it, and the music as well.
  2. ^ Actually, I was thinking that maybe getting a mask with the words Thank You! across it, would make some workers' day at any park. Just a suggestion. Or one with Thumbs Up on it. Maybe even this across a face mask?
  3. ^ I think I got that when it was actually for sale. We have one of those Hallmark Stores in a mall, close to us. And as I remember, since it was offered as a Christmas Ornament (for the wrong movie?)....still, I got it on sale. And it still works, after all this time, with no new battery used (knock wood). I also have one with Elsa at her "New Outfit/Look Reveal" moment in "Let It Go." That one needs a new battery. Hallmark Elsa in back. And her Glee Club. (o;
  4. Note, to "All Who Loooves Their Sondheim".... There's a big to-do happening to-morrow at 8pmEST/5pmPST at http://www.broadway.com Full of every possible musical actor you could ever imagine, throwing their musical gifts towards The GeniusMan who turned 90 last month! Nothing has been revealed as to who is singing what. But Broadway.com is providing videos of past performances of Sondheim's works. It's quite something to see and hear. https://www.broadway.com/buzz/199153/more-stars-take-me-to-the-world-a-sondheim-90th-birthday-celebration-just-got-even-bigger/
  5. Here's three sets of Playland Ads that appeared through the summer seasons.... The first set is from 2006. Simple, but fun to see where "the seats" are put. Second set is from 2002. It's all black and white but becomes very effective, when the blue is added. Third set is from 2010. It explains itself. (pre-"Let It Go") (2006) "Shake, Rattle and RRRING" (2002) "Bathrooms" ~ RIP Corkscrew. (2010) "Let It Out"
  6. Recently posted overhead shots of ShDL. The first shot shows the ZOOTOPIA area still being finished (yay dirt!) before vertical construction begins. It's still strange to see a Magic Kingdom without a train running around it. Or at least through it, like Western Railroad in Tokyo Disneyland. Thank you to whoever took these photos!
  7. I got what I think is my final vehicle (to collect) in the TOMICA Tokyo DisneySea Transit Steamer Line Collection. Thru eBay. The whole thing numbers I believe, 29 vehicles. I paid $50 for this one. Others have been going for $75-85. I was lucky on this one. 2013.... The Spring Voyage Steamer. And now I have 29 of these. (o:
  8. Glad you remembered your all-important PIZZA, lol! And that Luke's Lobster stuff..... omg omg omg. Great NY times shared, thanks! I miss Broadway soooo freakin' much.
  9. It's BOOM BOOM time again!

  11. The Knott's Online Marketplace is now open. And it's your choice of curbside pickup, or shipping. https://marketplace.knotts.com/ And at this time, shipping is ONLY for U.S. addresses. # InCanada And as for Cake Batter Cookies... Knott's Marketplace. When we're allowed to eventually visit it. Photo courtesy of Knott's.

  13. ^ Pretty, pretty good! All those locations! It fits the current bill. Thanks for posting it.
  14. At this stage, and after reading through "all of the above," I'm kind of glad Playland didn't schedule it's re-opening, until July 1st. And of course, I hope it does! Seems like a lot of other parks are headed that direction, in opening much later than (originally) planned. EDIT to add: I am hoping that everyone will finally get to visit their respective fave park(s) sooner, than later. "Playland(PNE) In Oils"
  15. ^ Welcome. I actually find the entire concept of Canada's Obsession w/National Hockey, "Dark Humor", hee hee. But I enjoy it when they get involved with the Winter Olympics... and whup the butts offa every other team, eh? 2010 is an awesome memory of those times. I wasn't there, but on the porch, hearing the cheers from the Coliseum, downtown, from where we were. Chilling and freeky to hear a sound like that, from that far away.
  16. Since this is Earth Day, I though I would re-post some photos of the big area that is part of our annual exhibition's (The PNE) grounds. It's called The Sanctuary and part of a huge green space that the PNE management has created, removing a few buildings from the Fair's past, adding a man made lake and a smaller pond (for a possible future 'river' that is part of Playland's future redevelopment), along with several pathways, wild growth for the wildlife (smile), and a general 'calm' to it all, even though a busy noisy PNE is right beside it. Let's call it The PNE's Giant Garden Project. Here are the photos with a few captions added. From 2018. If you turn away from all this noisy PNE 'busyness'... ....You see this. One of the many entryways into The Sanctuary. Where you are. And it shows how most of the PNE "wraps around" Sanctuary. Noted. Bridge view. This walkway takes you past swamp grasses and such. They built a Fishing Dock, so that kids can try their luck at catching! Very cool idea. Hmmm. Decisions.... Ooooo human-built stuff! (o; One last look at the lake and it all. Heading out of the place. "Backstage PNE" ..Back to the PNE Grind.
  17. Happy Earth Day! Judging from the lack of car exhaust around the world lately, air quality is becoming quite good. From reports I've seen like from India and parts of China, the air is fairly clear....and breathable! A Good Thing out of this medical time we're having. This is a look at what the PNE came up with for "green space" of it's own: The Sanctuary. It's situated where large buildings and display space for The Fair, used to be. The buildings were all taken down, the land was pulled and pushed around, and a man made lake was created. Many many trees were planted, many many pathways created. The result is really astonishing to walk through, especially when the PNE is going, late August. The noise from The Fair is buffered by all the foliage around, and at times, it's really hard to believe there's a busy, active Exhibition going on, with screams coming from Playland nearby. Here's my set of photos of The Sanctuary, from the 2018 PNE. Enjoy. Breathe. Stay Safe. One of the maps, to help you find your way around. This map also shows you how literally, the PNE wraps itself around The Sanctuary. Noted. They even have this Fishing Dock set up, for the kids to try. Hmmm. Which way, which way? Heading out of The Sanctuary "Backstage at the PNE"
  18. ^ Am glad to read that at least one of ZED's acts got work, somewhere else. The trapeze act was amazing. Good for them!
  19. Ultra Twister / ウルトラツイスター Rusutsu Resort (Rusutsu, Abuta, Shiribeshi, Hokkaido, Japan) TPR 2013 Japan Tour. Best ~ Ultra Twister ~ Ever! imHo.
  20. Pre-shows for most Disney attractions (like Runaway Railway?) might have to be re-thought, as to 'how many people do we put together'? Queue railing might actually have to be put within a pre-show "theater" itself, if it's standing room, etc. And then there's the 360' films, like those in the Canada and China pavilions in EPCOT. "Every other railing"...? Just a thought on that.
