In just one hour from now, Cirque is streaming a one hour special on Tokyo Disneyland's departed ZED! I had the awesome opportunity to see this show, with the TPR 2011 tour back then, before it sadly closed at the end of that year. Here's the link to the broadcast. Starts at 8pm EST / 5pm PST. https://youtu.be/3zuBpFgxDCI My ZED souvenirs, from seeing the show in 2011 at TDLR.

Bought $15 worth of lottery and scratch tickets, earlier. And won $17 and a free ticket! It's the little wins that count, nowadays. Home on the move. Thanks to "tiny house-Giant Journey" for their photo.

Bumping this up, to comment on last night's episode of SURVIVOR. We used to watch it pretty regular in it's first seasons. But later on, we just fell out of it, and hadn't watched a season in several years. That said, we decided to watch this new season, featuring winners from several seasons of Survivor. Last night, was the "usual" Family and Friends Episode. But the producers upped the content, and had full families show up for the players! AND although it looked like it was a shorter visit, the Edge of Extinction group got their "family/friends love" too. And to top it off, Probst announced there would be NO Family Challenge to play! So everybody got time with their loved ones. It was a very emotional part of the episode, and even David and myself were tearing up with the various groupings bought together. And we were thinking, this show is usually taped several months before airing. The timing of the whole thing was just a more intense experience for viewers, we suspect. And at the end of it all, during credits, the Jury (who are all on Extinction Island) went down to the floor and group-hugged Probst, thanking him and the producers for that "gift" of their friends and family visit, too. Very cool way to end the episode. So, after all these years, SURVIVOR can still surprise us viewers...and players, too.

Playland/PNE (Vancouver) Discussion Thread
Nrthwnd replied to Nrthwnd's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
"Not Just Any Water Fountain..." This is something that has stuck around for several decades. It first started out, in front of what was called the BC Pavilion. This was a series of three buildings, joined together by overhead covered walkways. The middle building was about BC itself, with history about the province, sports, native Indigenous native artwork... The other two were mainly used for showcasing new products (like appliances) and different ways to "live better in these times." The whole thing got torn down and removed, to create more "green space" on the PNE grounds. Which it now has, including a man made lake and beautiful walkways through lush forest like settings. The water fountain was also removed, and stayed out of sight, until several years later. Then, it was repainted and placed in Playland, right by the Pirate Ride. Then, they made a second one, shorter in height for younger children to reach, and placed that one in the parks Children's Rides Area. And that's where they both sit today. The first one was listed as being fiberglass-made. Whether the second newer one is made the same way, I'm not sure. But they're both a part of Playland now, and will probably remain, until the (hopeful) new renovation of Playland happens. And then, I hope, they'll be put back in new Playland locations! "Eh? What was that you roared? I can't hear you!" From the Vancouver Archives. Lunch. From the Vancouver Archives. The second one. It looks like a bad art project, lol. The original, repainted and set by the Pirate ride. But now, he looks... bored. An easier reach for little kids, and their parents. Photo from the net. -

I decided to "bite the proverbial bullet" and fix this myself. Kudos to Soren for starting up such a poll. But here we go, all of them posted for your choosing. Open ended...for now. EDIT to add: I know, I know, it's still lopsided. Some of you will be only comparing Disneyland to any of the four parks that are in Walt Disney World. Or not. Others may have only one Disney park they've ever been to. Stuff happens. But I'm still curious of who's been where, etc? And what they enjoyed about that park? EDIT-EDIT to Add!!! By the way, the list is made, in order of the years each park opened. Earliest to latest. And a Bonus Part of this is, two of the parks opened the same year. Can you figure it out?

Efteling has just posted on it's site, a drone overview of the empty park. But with all the spring landscape blooming and greening, it's gorgeous views! Enjoy. During my last visit to Efteling Park, on the TPR 2010 Europe Tour. -
Totally agree with this. I hope every burger place in the world survives this crisis! Here's a link to our favourite burger place in Amsterdam... https://www.burgerbar.nl/ One of our last visits to Burger Bar - Sept.2015 - We'd share fries and a grape soda.

I loved Blader, too. Great way to show some of the newer TPR members what some of the early TPR tours were like, Chuck. Thanks for putting it together! -
Favorite Disney Park and why?

^ Oops, I thought you had been to the Resort, before. But Animal Kingdom is a good choice. We're going to that one, because David "wants to ride a banshee", etc. For myself, it's EPCOT, and hopefully during the Fall International Food & Wine Festival, there. -

^ I am very glad that Sondheim's musicals have been available to buy, first in VHS, then in DVD. As has Mr. Webber's. I do have quite the Sondheim Collection, both in DVDs, CDs......and books, too. No complaints about that, lol. My prize possession. The book. All about FOLLIES and it's creation.... ....But THIS is the original cover of the book, which is what I have. (o:
