Bit of advice. Wait until at least 2026 to go back. Everything should be completed and built and running, I/we hope. Fantasy Springs, especially. We were planning to go back in 2025. But now that everything is at a medical standstill, everything in construction gets pushed along, too. So we're now considering 2026, just to allow extra time in catching up, etc. Hopefully. I'll be 73. And David will be 79. Here's hoping you can make another visit there.

Once again, I find myself totally enraptured with this Broadway cast recording of Moulin Rouge:The Musical. It's really quite something to listen through. A lot of amazing mash-ups, and a couple of sung-through numbers ("Your Song" is really brilliant) that make it a must-listen-to pops recording.

Good stuff, Bert! Anything on TDL and TDS is golden to read through. Lots of great photos you've taken, there. Glad you had a really good First Visit! Now, you need to start planning for when you're going back! (And looking forward to seeing all those SOUVENIRS you collected, lol.)

August is now the month to be concerned about, for us. Our Pride Week (with a Big Parade) happens at the beginning of the month. Followed by our Queer Film Festival mid-month. Ended with our annual fair, The PNE. And there are a good number of ethnic and media festivals that happen in this month too, so.....? Oh yeah, and then there's the bit, about if Playland is going to open, at all. (Just worrying out loud, thanks.)

My Top 3 is based on when I was there in June 2017, with Bert during CoasterMANIA! Vengeance wasn't open yet, so couldn't count that one. The others.... they were fine. ...which means it's time for more... Retro PNE Shots The year, 1934. The Pacific National Exhibition (i.e. PNE) is only nearly 25 years old (it started in 1910), and this particular year, they offered up, what no other North American Fair had ever done, before: The PNE Prize Home ~ First called the PNE Dream Home. Each ticket on the draw was 25 cents. And no other State/Provincial Fair in North America had offered such a prize, at that time. And the winner was a guy who had earlier proposed to his girlfriend, but the father nixed it. Said the guy wasn't worth it for his daughter. Went on the last day of the PNE, bought a ticket... and WON THE HOUSE! Immediately went back to his (soon to be) fiance and proposed. Father approved, she said 'yes', and they moved into the prize home. At that time, it was only a few blocks away from the PNE grounds. And they spent several decades together, before moving somewhere else. True story! The original PNE Dream Home - 1934 - on the PNE grounds, ready to be toured through. Vancouver Achives.
