Here's a burger that Jarmor enjoyed ...... The ELVIS Burger, during his visit to Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster, recently. And how long did it take you to finish this monster burger, Jarmor? Just curious. The fries look good, too.

Playland/PNE (Vancouver) Discussion Thread

They just posted a bit more info.at the PNE/Playland site, for last year's Season Passholders ..... So it looks like, for now, it will be the same as last year. Two comp passes.... plus "amazing bonuses". But I am still not too sure about the "2 comp visits for every season pass previously purchased." I have been a pass holder since 2006. So, does that mean I have..... (14seasons x2=) 28 comps, plus these two? Tickets are not available, yet. I will wait and eventually find out. I hope. -

... and that burger ... ... Elvis would be proud. -
I still find it amazing to believe, that these two artists share the same birthday, today. Nonetheless... Happy Birthday Stephen Sondheim & Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber! (And I forgot to add... Happy Birthday Mr. William Shatner, too!)

Quote from the radio... "A reinstatement of the Atlantic bubble." That's it.

^ We decided to split this movie into two "acts." and we're seeing the second two hours of it tonight. Very impressed with what was kept from the original release and what Snyder added to it. And focusing on a couple of backstories, this was great! I was a bit confused though, about Aquaman. Where does his movie fit into this timeline? I mean, he did re-unite with his mother in his film at it's end, but in this one, it appears he's none too happy with her. So .... ? Looking forward to the "second half" of this.

^^That was my first impression of the new logo & sign, too. (But without any shame, I would ride it, and suffer through it, for the credit.) -

^ I would treat it like I do every year on Opening Day at Playland(PNE) here .... just walk around, take everything in, maybe buy something to eat.... and head home. I'd be back, but now I've got info on what they're planning to do, and how things will run, etc. ...... Oh heck, and ride COASTER at least once, while I'm there, hee hee. By the way...the way I see it, the number of fake residency papers and/or cards will rise, for those who REALLY need their non-local DLR fix, ha!

Now that's the Tokyo Disney Way they do things! Single Rider on Splash Mtn, I always had to wait if the person by themself, said yes or no (group of 3?). And every time, they were very polite and said yes! They loved having a wierd looking old hippie like me beside them, for the Onride Photo, LOL. And Raging Spirits (?) Coaster in TDS was the same. And easy. But during these times, I understand, that's not too easy. -

OSCAR Nominations came out today. And of the few movies we actually saw, and most of them were on tv, Mank got a lot of noms. And we were glad to find out that Amanda Seyfried got a nom, for Mank. as Marion Davies. But, other than the above, and Ma Rainey's Black Bottom too, not many more 2020 movies seen (in any medium) that got noms. I do hope we get to eventually go back to theaters/theatres, to see films in their normal size, heh. EDIT: I re-thought what we actually did see last year. And there are a few more.... Tenet, The Prom (tv), The Invisible Man, and Onward (tv)... and that's it! Smallest - number - ever - of new movies we've seen, in any year.

Bought $15 worth of scratch tix and my usual Poker Lotto ticket, today. And so far, after scratching, I have won $28 and $6 in free tickets! And I still have the lottery draw tonight, so more $ might be won. It's the little wins that count, when all is said and done.

This just made me go 'huh'... On the radio news, I just heard that vaccinations of vaccines etc etc. in BC are starting with "those 85 and older"....and "Indigenous people 65 and older".... Which made me immediately wonder.... Why the 20 year age difference? Do indigenous people pass away at an earlier age? That's all. I just wondered.

It's great to me, that because of you-know-what, some of the independent parks and franchises are discovering that their (ahem) Main Street (usual) entry way into the park can magically be turned into an open mini-mall. Shopping and dining out. A perfect safe outing for all involved. And themed seasons, too. Perfect! I will actually take any of this, themed or not. Yum! (Knott's Marketplace Bakery~Sept.2019)

Does this become an entry in the "Longest Coaster Name Ever" contest? I remember riding some Asian coasters back in 2013 and earlier, with incredible long names! Names all gone from my head, now. Age does that. All of the signs in local language didn't help, either. Thanks to Robb and Elissa for giving us their names in english, lol! (From one, whose home park's awesome wooden coaster is named ...... Coaster. <sighs> ) -
Just finished doing my taxes, and it turns out I might get a few $$$ this time 'round! As I get older I am finding, that filling out the forms by hand (& mind) is getting tougher every year. But, I'm hoping I was good with all of it. And mailing it in early, means they can check it quicker ..... ...... and then the $$$ will go directly into my bank.

^^ & ^^^ Actually...I was thinking that maybe CP could build an Observation Deck in one of the turns of....GEMINI. Maybe the second turn above the loading station? Then it could be like a (separate entry?) Cheering Stand, everybody cheering the trains along? I think that would be awesome to climb stairs, and enjoy it! You may now continue, with your Fuji-Queue-ing... -

I know it can be just plain boring to do, but I remember that I kept checking every couple of days, on their site, to find out when tix became available. I'm retired, so that helped I know, with my getting tickets. Still, I suspect they'll release packages by the end of March, if not a little bit before hand. Maybe. Good luck to ya, getting them. -
Universal Osaka just posted their food offerings for their 20th Anniversary, coming up. Of everything seen, this one stopped me..... The American Dream Burger, found at Mel's Drive In in Universal Osaka. How many proteins can YOU count?
