  1. A family style coaster would/could be a nice addition to the park... ...Like the Atomic Flyer in Movie Park Germany. (TPR 2008 Europe Tour)
  2. ^ Some great action shots you've taken. Very nice. Even Slammer, though I won't go on that, again.
  3. ^ We've done mid-late September visits a couple of times before, and it seems to work really well for us, timing wise. Minimum maintenance going on, most of all the kids of Europe (bless them) are back in school, and the weather is (usually) pretty good for that time of year. We will find out if this planning works again, soon enough. And 2017 is the 25th Anniversary of the Resort. And the 15th of WDS. So yes, they are amping up the renovations and fixups, before late (probably) 2016 rolls along.
  4. ^ Like I said, we can live with that loss. I like Sinbad better, anyway.
  5. They've posted for some time, the closures that will be happening around our visit in late September And - it looks like the ONLY thing we'll be missing (at this time) will be... It's A Small World. We can live with that loss. (But - they are also temporarily closing Crush's Coaster at WDS during our visit. ) It actually looks like new maintenance doesn't start until AFTER September! Lucky us!
  6. No, I am retired. Are you allergic to anything?
  7. It could be a totally new designed vehicle/train for this coaster... once they reveal it.
  8. ^ It makes me dizzy, just looking at that, lol!
  9. "It's Not Easy Being Green..." An hour or so spent at the park late this morning. Got a few shots of The Beast's "other colour"...red. The overcast sky allowed me to actually see some working lights on a few of the flats. The RED starts to take over the green... Almost complete. The lights on Gladiator could be seen from a distance. And I still think the whole ride would look so much better with an actual "swampboat" theme to it - and alligators, too! The whole "Roman" thing has never worked for me, considering the ride cars don't exactly look like chariots or anything "Gladiator-like". (o; ***Playland(PNE), Please Note!*** Really awesome landscaping here, in the middle of the park. And it's all done (mainly) for the kids' train ride! (o: ...And the newest capsule machine anime' figure I picked up. And the "thrill" level of Gladiator could be amped up too, like this version of the same flat in Skara Sommerland, on the TPR 2014 Scandi Tour. It's ride cycle was a-ma-zing! The height on that is definitely several feet above what the max height of Gladiator's cycle.
  10. Falcon Duinrell (Wassenaar, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands) Visited, after the TPR 2010 Europe Tour ended.
  11. Wow, that looks very cool! But, it 'almost' looks like the TRON bikes they've just shown in announcements at Shanghai DL, lately. Without the leaning over part.
  12. ^Thanks for doing that. I'm so lazy online, lol. But I could definitely go to that for price comparisons. Next year's Bash.
  13. How are car rentals' costs, nowadays? With midweek pickup and following mid-week return, at/to the airport? (I did a couple of car rentals back in the 1980s, but I know costs, rental companies, and such have changed.) Maybe renting something like this? (Thanks MiceAge for the photo)
  14. This was just posted in the Gay Calgary News. An article about Reese (of the Pieces?) was introducing a new spreadable version of their peanut butter cups.... "to spoon and spread...". Nothing 'hidden agenda' in that, yes? No? Then there's that "reaction shot" inside of the label...
  15. My eyes start to glaze over, every time I get into reading that amazing food and wine pairing list. And that's a good thing.
  16. ^That works for me, thanks! (And Mister Donut Forever!)
  17. New cover of GQ MAgazine.... ROFL
  18. True. The person below me likes coffee better than tea. Where I live.
  19. Hey, when I was 53, I was only up to roughly 75 coasters! I didn't get my first 100 until 2006, on the TPR UK Tour. You'll get there, especially with going to the WCB.
  20. I definitely enjoyed Helix' two (what I call) 'light' launches, last summer at Liseberg. But I still have a soft spot, for the zippy little starting launch on Lynet, in Farup Sommerland. And there's this enjoyable non-launch part, too. TPR 2014 Scandi Tour. After the launch. TPR 2009 Scandi Tour.
  21. And this I will call "Coaster Art." Frame it just as it is now, heh. Looks good enough to frame, right now. (o:
  22. That's a great little amusement park in Higashiyama Zoo. And yes, that paratrooper hybrid was a fun and totally wierd ride. The Slope Shooter is cool too, although it's "coaster" authenticity will be argued for a few more years I'm sure, lol. And what the heck flavour is YUZU in the macaroons? I tried to translate it, but nothing came up for me. Did anybody ask or buy one? And THANK YOU for taking a pic of the Haunted Swing ride! It was another little gem in the park for myself, back on the TPR 2007 Japan Tour. But I forgot to take a pic of it back then, so this is great! (I have a folder on Haunted Swings and Mad Houses) (o:
  23. ^^ Not to be picky (but I will anyway) there is the water ride/transport in Disney Sea - the Disney Transit Line. It can be ridden in a full circuit, or as a dock-to-dock ride. And it is a water ride, IMhO. Or - you meant to eliminate transport vehicle-attractions in the parks, as well? Water ride - or not?
