  1. ^ Agreed. Still very cool, however they design and build it.
  2. ^ Ooooo that would look so cool, with pirate ships hanging from this track!
  3. ^ Okay. I will ask. What is this "It" you speak of, that The Beast is a "bigger version of"...? It's an XXL ride, that much I know. But is there a smaller 'XL' size of this ride, as well?
  4. In earlier concepts, there was a Toy Story Land between the TRON coaster and the Frozen Sing-Along that's shown on this map. Now it's not happening for the opening. So I think that is a probable future addition to the park. That question mark above the Hunny Pot Spin was, I thought, to be for another Winnie The Pooh dark ride. And the question mark beside Peter Pan, would be I suspect, more shops and eating places.
  5. I will always love that Scad Tower visit. And great stuff on this part of your TR, Benny! Some great stuff, on a great tour, for myself. Thanks for catching us up, lol!
  6. I am not sure about the rest of the coaster world, but this has definitely become The Mystery Coaster to me, of everything I have seen, recently. And that's an Awesome Thing!
  7. So.... at this point in "the game," you have either been to a park in China...or The Philippines. (according to rcdb.com) Anybody?
  8. A SMARTphone, is only as smart, as it's owner.
  9. Lost In The Super Market The Clash
  10. The whole thing looks more and more amazing, every new photo that is posted!
  11. Just taken last night! Me in my costume as The Barker, in the Pre-show Village Fair, that runs one hour before Theatre In The Park`s summer production of Oliver! (which runs in rep with Hairspray this month and August). I am not in the production itself, but am a Volunteer for the part of The B, and the indulgence to be among the audience as they come in. I love doing it (with an accent, Guv!), and they appear to enjoy it, as well. But I am NOT accustomed to wearing Three Layers of Clothing on a nice VERY WARM early evening. What we do for Culture & The Arts. Owjadoo, Guvner! And yes that is (what's left of a) CEDAR TREE behind me!
  12. I walked into my local liquor store last week, and found a display rack to the left of the door, brimming with Absolut Vodka..... in RAINBOW bottles! Now I assumed that in the States (and the World), it was sold prior to June pride Parades, etc. But our Pride Parade and weekend is celebrated at the beginning of August. And I believe Montreal does it the same weekend as us. So that we can visit Seattle`s and Toronto`s respective Pride Weekends-Parades in late June; then they come to us and celebrate with us! Anyway, I immediately bought THREE of them, LOL! And a Happy Pride, past and future! And all that written stuff on the front of it, reads... How the empty bottle is looking, on our back yard deck. LED lights (remote) are going into it for our August party. Best. Absolut Bottle. Ever. (o:
  13. Last night was Opening Night, for Theatre In The Park's production of "Oliver!" (in rep with "Hairspray" through Aug.), and there's also a Pre Show of a Village Fair that has games and souvenir "crowns" to buy, as well as the gp being allowed onstage to see the sets up close, before the musical actually starts! And I volunteered (not in the show itself) to play The Barker, who's sort of running everything before the main show starts. So here I am, in my costume, ready to greet the audience, give out some free Crowns to the kids, and make the audience's arrival a great experience, before seeing Oliver! (And totally depressing them, ha ha.) And they FINALLY gave me a mic (remote) so that I didn't have to use that damned red plastic megaphone! Which apparently didn't work at all, as one of the kids in the show told me, honestly. Gotta love kids for that, right? In my duds, before "going on". "Ow are ya doin', luv?" And yes, that is all that's left of a Giant CEDAR TREE behind me! This is three layers of clothing, making those broad shoulders, there. Wish I had them for real, lol.
  14. Tell that to Tokyo Disneyland, lol! They have a train, but it only runs inside the park and around and through Adventureland and Westernland. Not around the park. (Transit tax laws back in 1983, prevented a train going all around it, w/more than one station.) So - the purists should be complaining about TDL as well as ShDL.
  15. Wow - it looks like they are really showing the future park off, now! The detail in the models is really great. And Mickey Avenue definitely looks like the Main Street of this park, too.
  16. Went to the park today. And got a couple of shots of the guys who make sure we have a great ride on Coaster. And a surprise find in the capsule machines, that immediately made me "homesick" for the Japan machines! Coaster's control board. This is Robert and Marvin. Two of the great guys who make sure Coaster runs awesome all the time! Unloading, as the train comes back to the station. Just noticed this, in the landscaping of the kids' car ride. Um...is this where Pod People get started? Just curious. (o: Capsule machines! And upon closer inspection... I found one machine, with capsules from Japan!!! What I got. And more of you know about this anime' character than I do, I am sure. And, as Sonny & Cher used to (sort of) sing: "And The Bea(s)t goes on..." (o;
  17. Just saw a video on http://www.Broadway.com about the upcoming City Encores production (this weekend I believe) of Andrew Lippa's THE WILD PARTY... ..with Sutton Foster and Steven Pasquale in the leads. So, I DO hope this run opens up possiblities of running it later, on Broadway? I would KILL to see this City Encores production. Sutton Foster (possible next TONY?) and Steven Pasquale (him too!) - amazing!
  18. Before the www, everything was publicized in print, tv, and such. (and word-of-mouth after it opened, which has gone www, now.) I don't think any previous Disney park before Paris and Hong Kong, had this current opportunity to promote any coaster at that time. But they could control a lot of the information that they put out back then, unlike today when stuff gets "leaked" and such. Space Mountain in WDW did not open until 1975 and DL's in 1977. There was Disney Magazine/News at the time, that had a nice spread about DL's, but it was just before it opened. With the model of Space Mountain on the cover on the magazine. What I remember... The cover of the Summer 1977, Disney News.
  19. Sun Park / 朝阳公园 / Cháoyáng Gōngyuán Chaoyang, Beijing, China Home of my #500 coaster, the Mine Train ! #500! ~ TPR 2012 China Tour. Which also had CATS living in the Mine Train "landscape"!
  20. Here's a couple of early photos in the thread, showing the TRON indoor/outdoor track and where the 'bikes' enter back into the building... (Thanks to all who took these early photos.) First, the earlier leaked layout of the circuit for the ride and how the building (and outside) fit into the design. Outdoor track, after launch. And I believe that bottom "hole" in the blue building is where the bikes come zooming out! And where they re-enter the show building.
