  1. T: TransAmerica (2005)
  2. I was actually drawn to that lovely stuffed celery, myself.
  3. He left the company of The Visit, just before the TONYs, for taking care of a medical condition. Sad to read he didn't make it. I got to see him live in one of the (three?) parts of "Nicholas Nickleby" on Broadway. He was wonderful. And was in a number of television series including Cheers, Warehouse 13, The West Wing, to name a few. RIP RR His last Broadway show. But, he's on the Cast Recording, so that's awesome!
  4. You'll always be "Nicky Arnstein, Nicky Arnstein" to me, Mr. Sharif. RIP
  5. Been a tiring first night, for my volunteering.
  6. Something new to do for myself, this summer... http://tuts.ca/ This is what I just volunteered for, for the Oliver! run this summer; running at least 20 performances alternating with Hairspray until August 22. It's a challenge at my age, not having been "on stage" for a few decades or so... Well, here we go, lol. They are presenting a "Village Fair" in the hour before Oliver! starts. I am The Barker for this fair, and basically introduce the whole thing, then standby for introducing acts and foot races (20 Yard Dash). It's trippy and something well out of my comfort zone right now. But that's okay. There is a wonderful woman who is co-ordinating everything from the acts, to the schedule etc. And the dialogue too, for which I am forever grateful. She is definitely multi-tasking on an awesome level! So - photos hope to be taken back stage, with us in our costumes, ready to whip the crowd into a frenzy for The Main Event. "That Other Show" Where I am Barkering, in our charming Chelsea Village Fair. (o;
  7. The Guppy Bubbler looks (sort of) like our Balloon Ride at Playland(PNE). Do the vehicles spin? It looks like they do, in the second photo. Great looking ride, for kids, families and seniors. What's now open, there. What we got, here at Playland(PNE). The artsy shot of it. (o;
  8. Because it's a nice country for theme parks?
  9. ^^ Looks great, especially all that theming. Giving Phantasialand a run for it's money.
  10. ^ I love the look of the new paving, too! So much better than just regular paving, etc. Good to remember, thanks. I figured that since Ratatouille was the new attraction in the park, Crush's Coaster might be "slightly" easier to hit first, then the "Land of Remy". Then on to Toy Story Land, and circle back to the Tower of Terror. Looking forward to all of it - AND the new Adventureland paving, too! We've actually been to DLPR three times, since the Studios opened in 2002. So we're skipping stuff we're not interested in re-visiting, like the Armageddon thing; the stunt show (twice is enough, esp.for the time invested in queueing, seating, the show and exiting); Animagique for myself; the Tram Tour. So for us, it will still be somewhat of a "half day park". But we will be (hopefully) eating at Remy's Bistro the day we arrive, so that will be nice.
  11. It looks awesome! The "whole thing" shots look especially nice.
  12. (^ Geez I hope the thing is running okay, by the time we're there, late Sept.) Juvelen Djurs Sommerland (Nimtofte, Jylland, Denmark) Did you know... "Juvelen" is Danish for "Jewel". Very cool coaster! (TPR 2014 Scandi Tour)
  13. (Sorry, But I am catching up, here) Also, seeing those photos of Gao... I can still remember the smell of tires burning on some of the track, lol! Great park MItsui Greenland is, definitely.
  14. False. (Not yet.) The person below me enjoys licorice.
  15. I truly believe that one of the surprising coasters to a lot of people, is our own Coaster here at Playland (PNE). People never believe what others rave about it. Then they ride it, and experience the first leisurely drops on "the outer ring", then the straight-a-way happens and they dive into air time pops, aggressive bunny hops, 2 fan turns (and none of this is in order), and a nice (what I call) Bizarro Curve that really pulls them out of their seats. They come off going, "what the F was that?" Then they get back in line and ride it again, lol! Old shot of Coaster, probably 1960s. This was taken during their "White Trim" Period. (o;
  16. Formule X Drievliet Family Park (The Hague, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands) TPR 2008 Europe Tour
  17. Antelope Gulliver's Warrington (Warrington, Cheshire , England, UK) ...With sculptures right beside the coaster! (TPR 2010 Europe Tour)
  18. Barq's root beer In this, earlier today.
  19. Haven't been there since the mid-1970s! Beautiful park and zoo, back then. Miss seeing it, but this is a great TR to remind me of what made it awesome. Thanks for it, Adam. And as well - Happy 100th Birthday San Diego Zoo!
  20. New refill drink bottles now being sold, all about The Beast! Best part is, if you buy it now, refills are only $1 all through the Playland season AND the PNE, but only at the Playland stands. Not too bad a deal. (o: As well as the refillable drink bottles, they also sell popcorn buckets with all-season refills, too! Naturally, I chose the Green one. With Barq's root beer in it. (o: So - is The Beast the only one of it's kind in North America? Just curious. They have printed "First In North America" on the bottle. So I guess it's true. (o:
  21. ...And here's the recent Entertainment Weekly, covering how the filming in Vancouver is going. Woo hoo! Yes! (o:
  22. ^ Lava was....okaaaay...but it was done along the lines I believe, of how old Hawaiian folk songs and such are done. Slowly, with story line through out. At the end, we thought it was a sweet time, between the two of them. Even volcanoes need love. And here's our cat Stella's Disney Corner...with a new friend. Bing Bong seems to me, like a distant cousin of Cheshire Cat. Very VERY distant...
