Robb & Elissa in Japan - 2015!
Nrthwnd replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That inside storage barn was one of the awesome parts of this ride, IMhO. And then - it wasn't the end, with more encounters! And with all the crazy dialogue I could not understand at all - priceless. Great video Robb. -
Inside/Out We saw it. We loved it. I cried. SPOILER ALERT And I loved Bing Bong! So much so, I immediately bought the plush that smells like cotton candy!

Just read this. And he was one of the first responders to 9/11, then had to quit afterwards, because of lung problems et al. He gets just over $3 million, after taxes etc. but still... Good For Him!

^ We saw it at home, ourself. And really enjoyed it, bizarreness and all. But then, this was Tim Burton, hmm? And Amy Adams was perfect.

Great Opening Day EB! I wish I could get over there, and ride it now! Am curious - are the loc-kers free, or needing a coin? -
Got this in an email. Hope some of you locals (as well as visitors) can attend...

^ Yes, there would be several haunt walk-throughs, and a good number of the flats and coasters open, as well. Unfortunately, Fright Nights is where you have to either buy the ticket for the actual day, if you are buying online, or the day you go to it, at a ticket booth. No rain check. There's more information here about it, at Playland(PNE)'s site... http://www.pne.bc.ca And as well, just got this in an email... -

I can't decide! -
We just saw it in 3D and IMAX. Very impressed and didn't have headaches from it, which is saying something for me, lol. We enjoyed it this way. But - needs a SHARKNADO in the next one.

Saw Jurassic World last week. Impressed with it, and got a couple of actual scares in it. Really loved the scenes going back to "the old place." That was trippy, and we enjoyed seeing that. Also noticed that Dr.Wu took off with all the young'uns, eggs and such? Dare I say..... another "Jurassic.....Rebirth"? Eventually?

^ Wish I could be part of it, but I will be in Amsterdam by that time. And just to let you know - those dates would be out, because Playland only opens weekends, after Labour Day (Sept.07) and the annual PNE (opens Aug.22). So there's only three September weekends Playland is open: 12/13, 19/20 and 26/27. Then they close, and get ready for Fright Nights at Playland. Unless.... you meant August 14-16? Which is the last weekend for Playland, before the PNE opens. And it's open the weekdays before the PNE, also. -

^^ What, the chip? Or "the Golden Girl with the Golden Curl"...? -
^ Sorry to hear. A live YES concert, back in the mid-1970s, was a definite highlight in my (then) young life. And I will always remember the lasers during the show - all green! And with mirrors, the whole thing was a amazing! RIP CS

^ Well, you never know. Our Pride isn't until the first weekend in August, (same as Montreal's) so there's still a chance there could be raining, heh. -

I don't know if it's the heat wave we're now having in the city. Or maybe it's just the fates and such. But - after I entered the park today, there was another coaster stall! This time, it was CORKSCREW at the top of it's lift hill, not moving. Thankfully, it didn't take as long as COASTER took on Friday, getting moving again (Coaster didn't get running until 2pm that day). But, after the train completed it's circuit (after a few minutes wait), they closed the ride for "Maintenance Work." So much for that. Round and round... What's this??? Stalled at the top. Ride op up there as well. My Ghoul Shot, reaching for a tasty coaster snack. Hells Gate is still closed down, most days I've been to the park. The Beast swinging one way... ...Then the other.
