  1. And just found out now, Ron Moody has left us to "pick other pockets or two" in the great beyond.... Original Fagin in Oliver! - onstage in London, then in the 1968 Oscar winning film. He was 91. And in 1969 he turned down the part of Doctor Who! He scared me at age 15! A sweet, sweet man, those who worked with him, are saying.
  2. ^ Interesting building on the left, there. Is the top of it purely ornamental, or is there some actual task it does, or is composed of? Great Mardi Gras shot, too!
  3. ^ Wow, thanks for that! I didn't even think of that, with DL taking the Magic Morning spots and all. Good to know! (We'll camp out there at 09:00, lol.) Would it better to hit Ratatouille first for a ride and/or FP - then head back to Crush for a ride? Or do Crush first, then head to Ratatouille, etc? Oh yeah, and we have to do This (David's first time), and Toy Story Land for the both of us! (With One New Credit! - Photo taken on the TPR 2008 Europe Tour)
  4. ^ When you promise us a round of sick, twisted cocktails, mmmk? Our Pride Day isn't until the beginning of August. But that means, we can head down to Seattle, and do the Pride thing with them, at the late June date. I think WDW would be the better place for me, to do a Gay Days Weekend thing. More spread out over all the parks, and enough space between everything to get a rest (ha) once in awhile, staying on site.
  5. ^ Martin something-er-other. THIS is Martin Balsam.
  6. ^ We're staying at the Sequoia Lodge in September. Montana Room with lake view. I had planned for this stay for a couple of years, myself. Staying five nights, parks entry, continental breakfast incl. Six days' parks entry. 8-10 am in Disneyland every day. Cost me over $2000 Cdn ($1625 US) for it. Later on, I just added the Half Board Standard Dining Plan for $450 Cdn ($365 US). Gives us one meal a day, with all the buffets available (yum) and a 'afternoon treat/eat and beverage' 3-6 every afternoon. I also found out, if you are arriving before "Check-In Time" (3pm I believe), you can still check in, get your stuff needed for immediate entry into the parks, go to one of them (or both) then come back after 3 and your bags should be up in your room! We are coming from downtown Paris around 10-11am so we can get a good day or so at the Studios (Ratatouille!) with mid-aft.meal at Bistro Chez Remy. Expensive at first look yes, but when you break it all down, it's still a pretty good deal. And I do plan to 'TR/review' the stay, once we're there and back. I did stay at Santa Fe lodgings back in 2008, when TPR toured Europe. It was a 15 minute walk or so, to the parks, which was fine, an easy walk from the room. Room was nice too - definitely for families, as there were a lot of kids running around all sugar rushed up, screaming and yelling, a couple of late nights. But that's part of the deal, there. And the Buffet was pretty good. Not anything special. But good variety. Hope this helps you out. Magic Morning Dumbo credit! (o: TPR 2008 Europe Tour.
  7. ...And how was the "Ghost House"? (If you went on it, of course.)
  8. Mmmm, must get back to Hansa Park, some year soon.
  9. Just found out. Always enjoyed his original movies, and then later on in the decades, how he was able to entertain in new and different characters (Star Wars, LOTR). I often thought if would have been interesting if Tim Burton had cast him as Bela Lugosi (irony!) in Ed Wood, rather than Martin Balsam. But that's ok. Balsam was amazing, and Lee will be forever remembered by millions.
  10. Just helped a guy re-park his car behind us, instead of in front, which would have been a fire plug violation (way too close). He was very cool, and did it with a foot to spare at either end. I told him, now that he did this, he was ready for San Francisco, LOL!
  11. X, Formule - Drievliet Park Yeah, I know. Not right. hee hee. Ok... X-Treme Racers - Legoland Billund, Denmark Then there's this "X" above the love stuffies of Legoland, Billund. (o: TPR 2009 Scandi Tour. Well, there's this "X".... (Drievliet Park, outside of Amsterdam) TPR 2008 Europe Tour.
  12. ^ Oooh that's an interesting idea! Using a system like Tranan, and enclose the whole thing in a bldg.? And they now have ..uh.. things to hold onto, instead of just spreading your arms out, etc. It could work this way. (TPR 2014 Scandi Tour) In the lower vehicle, you can see the hang-on handles. Notice also, that there were riders still putting their arms our - which was really cool to do, actually!
  13. I am also curious whether they are keeping the reverse flume part of the ride? And if so, by the sound of the ride description, it should happen when the other trolls are met - like before, but not so angry, heh. Or will they rebuild it, turning it into a completely forward traveling flume?
  14. ^ Maybe they could/would add that as part of the Meet & Greet building, being built beside Maelstrom? It's (apparently) such a huge building they're putting up, it wouldn't surprise me, that if there was more than just the Greeting Area for Anna, Elsa et al, they could fit in something like this.
  15. What an amazing learning place for kids! And all that stuff Kristen got to create and keep, too! Did you hold on to everything for her, as she went along, or was there a loc-ker available, etc? Great start to your tour, guys. Looking forward to seeing more Japanese Awesomeness!
  16. Currently, Barq's Root Beer.
  17. ^ Ha! My birth year! Way ta go, Chuck! V: The Visit (2015)
  18. This was just posted at Screamscape.com Anybody know more about it? Hmmm. Maybe those flyers that are in IOA? (Thank you shichan14 for the photo taken. And... Groovy Shoes!)
  19. ^ Well, they may do that in Eastern Canada, hmm? Canada's Wonderland? La Ronde? Maybe even Galaxyland in West Edmonton Mall? They all got big fat ole Coke Freestyle machines, I betcha.
  20. A bit of Vancouver Skyline, from the Sky Wheel at Playland... It's there. Waaayyyy over there. (o;
  21. Oh Delores - Whitehorse
  22. Just heard on the radio, two big auction houses in Europe were vying for handling the auction of a piece of artwork, valued at millions ($16+), but the owner of the painting couldn't decide which auction house to go with, as both had given good deals in how to handle this auction. So - they did the most honorable thing possible.... Rock, Paper, Scissors. One house picked paper. The other picked scissors. Scissors won.
