Gröna Lund Discussion Thread

If he jumped over the railing, to the ground, one of his feet could have caught on the railing itself, causing him to suddenly go head first to the ground. -
Playland/PNE (Vancouver) Discussion Thread
Nrthwnd replied to Nrthwnd's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Some more photos, taken last Saturday.... The yellow train was being used, that day. A repaint/redo of a very very old water fountain, that used to sit in another part of the PNE grounds. Doesn't really look the same as the original, but it's for the kids. (o; Hopped on the Sky Wheel for a few shots. I see you, AtmosFEAR. And HELLevator poking out of the corner, there. A closer shot of what I took, the week before. While down below, the Rainbow Run Fundraiser was finishing up. Lots - of - coloured - dust and mini-mini-mini glitter! It drifted up into the park, and although it didn't hurt you, it looked totally freaky with all the "glittery dust" on the asphalt, lol! The Colourful Mob. Thankfully, I came to the park, at the end of the Run. And it must have been a "Rainbow Cloud City" most of the morning, there. (o: What's this? What's this? A mini-shortcut here? Look back. No trap. Just good old asphalt there. Right by the Mirror House we seem to go. And here's where it ends, "slyly camouflaged", so. Meanwhile... I need to crop this . THE BEAST (sign) = Balloon Ride???? And to finish up - a Wave Swinger shot. -

Here's several I took of The Beast, in these past couple of weekends at Playland, Larry. Hope they're okay enough. And when the PNE is on, in late August, I'll head back there and get some night shots, as well. Hopefully, a small video of the lighting package working, too. Interesting to note here, is that the park flies both the Canadian and the American flags over it's entrance. A nice gesture of friendship. (o: -

Troy has always been one of my favourite wood coasters. Still is. Thanks for sharing your trip to Toverland. -

^ They do so many community-supported stage shows for charities, I would be ga-ga over all the "extra shows" that happen on Broadway. This one, Broadway Bares Sports Leagues Pets AIDS Support. When all these actors and crews work eight shows a week, and then do these charity events, and shows.... I am in awe of them all. And I would to see one of these special performances, if ever possible.

^^ Here's a link to the DLP Guide.com's page on Dining/Meal Plans. Definitely easier to explain, than I ever could, lol. http://www.dlpguide.com/planning/dining/meal-plans/ The best part is, if you don't get a Meal Plan at the time of your room booking, but decide later on to add it, no problem! They take care of adding it to your booking very easily. And when you are ready to make reservations at dining spots, you can do it only starting two months before your arrival. -
