  1. You're My Best Friend Queen
  2. I finally figured out three for Playland(PNE). Sorry in advance to the park. I know they're trying, now. My Major #1) Not snapping up the (then) closed down Empire Stadium and all the adjoining land around it. It would literally increase Playland by three-fold for future actual theming! With a steel coaster encircling the entire property, too! And Coaster would sit square in the middle of it all - Our Disney Castle. #2) Not getting rid of Corkscrew by now. It is OVER it's FD3 movie connection, okay? Hardly anybody remembers it, and hardly any of it was actually used, except the loading platform. And an El Loco would fit very nicely into it's footprint with a still great view of the mountains and inlet. #3) Closing down it's only (for a very long time) Laff-In-The-Dark, and replacing it with.................................nothing. And when the PNE comes in, the additional rides never ever include a cheesy dark ride (or more) any more. They need a new permanent building like the old one (the Haunted Mansion is in it's spot now, and it's a walk-through, not a ride, and with actors, hence the up charge) used to be, where the inside could be changed according to whim or theme or holiday. Hmmm?
  3. Nemesis Alton Towers (Alton, Staffordshire, England, UK) TPR 2010 UK-Europe Tour.
  4. Excitement! We leave tomorrow morning for Amsterdam - then down to stay in Paris, and THEN we stay at DisneyParis! Everything's ready and packed. My last shot of The Castle in DLP. TPR 2008 Europe Tour.
  5. "Advertising With Style" Awesome Media Kit/Invite sent to you, Robb.
  6. Ohhh, just a couple of nights ago. (We love our home cooked steaks, especially BBQed ones.) When was the last time you made ice cubes? Not too long ago, we had this at The Keg. With lobster. Double Yum.
  7. It makes me wonder if Alton is going to get "very sensitive" to the SMILER accident, and not have any scare characters with chopped/amputated legs, etc. And their scare scenes in haunt houses, etc. too? Just a thought on it.
  8. Everything that Disney and Universal will do, world-wide, in the next 15 years. (I'll be 77 by then, so for now, that works for me.) 2013, David and me at TDL. Will we make it to 2028? Stay tuned! (o:
  9. TRUE Xinfinity. The person below me hates spinach.
  10. Not in memory. Letter carriers/mailmen remember this stuff, heh. When was the last time, you had soda accidently go up your nose? (You know what I mean, right?)
  11. True. The person below me loves cotton candy.
  12. In my next lifetime, I want to play the cello. I love the sound it makes and how it feels, to me. I'm done.
  13. Try Blue Rodeo
  14. Probably No. Do you like this thing about re-tracking (and re-thrilling) wooden coasters?
  15. Great TR. And it's dizzying, looking at all those directional signs on the fence, with all that information under each pic! I would need a rest stop, just after going by this fence! EDIT to add: Self-serve beer rawks!!!
  16. Loved the Jungle Cruise makeover! What fun. Everything looked perfectly placed, and I liked the idea that you see "behind the curtain" and how these creatures put the movies' sets and such together, and "operated" them.
  17. So, as The PNE is ending today, I just wanted to sum up a few observations of my two weeks' visits there. 1) Beer Craft Fest and Beer Gardens are AWESOME and should be a "must have" at every PNE! I counted at least three beer spots/gardens on site, along with the Beer fest, and ended up at two of them and the Fest. And loved the set up of it, while screaming families and strollers were passing by. An oasis in the craziness that is PNE. 2) Doing the whole two weeks is much better, than all-at-once in one exhausting visit. The Pass is worth 2-1/2 visits to The Fair, and with the bonus of the Coupon Book, I also got to try the standards and newbies in PNE food on site. Some great. Others, not so. And my bus passes took a hit with several visits back and forth. But that was okay. I enjoyed it and the challenge of figuring out what to see, do and/or eat, day to day. 3) The Ribs Fest is still a must, although I feel the "Contest" part of it is just dumb. They only have four ribs companies compete, and two of them were from the USA, when it was advertised as an "all-Canadian" challenge. And then the 'Title' of The Winner seems to rotate from summer to summer, with the public's vote. Sad, because for us, Misty Mountain was the clear winner this year, as last couple of years. Yet this round, out of three winners, it came...4th Which means it went from first to last, using the same wonderful bbq sauce, etc. Bring more ribs in, scrap the Contest. Rant over. SO the PNE closes after today, and Playland reopens only for weekends, this month. Then it closes to get ready for Fright Nights in October. And in two days, me and David head to Amsterdam (Walibi Holland) and Paris (Disney) for a couple of weeks. Happy Labor Day Everybody! And remember.... It's almost like Las Vegas! (o; My last photo of The Fair. Bye bye, till the last Playland weekend this month!
  18. Post #13300! (Hey, at my age - it's an accomplishment!)
  19. Looking forward to getting back to the park, this coming Saturday. Got my online ticket, transport info. to get there from Amsterdam, money... Excited! One of the attractions I definitely want to go to again, The Castle. (TPR 2008 Europe Tour.)
  20. Also, consider how many are in your family, and ages, etc. And who wants thrills versus who wants...everything else.
  21. "One day, I'll step on their freckles." Little Girls - Miss Hannigan from ANNIE Seen it three times. That was enough.
