  1. Stella. Just before we left on our Europe tour, mid-September.
  2. A couple of shots I took, while being driven home from the bar, by my David. It's our Science World, which was originally part of the 1986 World's Fair we held, back then. It still has it's IMAX-OMNI max film screen in the dome, for cool science-related films.
  3. ^ Any current photo news on how current construction is going? I just read (and found pix) there's going to be a new "Fairy Tale Forest" area built, in Fantasyland. I also noticed in the art concepts of The Forest, the gp get to "interact" with each scene, i.e turning the handle to "make something happen", etc. Nice. Area where it's all being built. On the right is the Tinkerbell Meet'n'Greet. Concept art of part of the Fantasy Forest. Hi Rapunzel! Seven dwarfs get a look-see in the new Fantasy Forest.
  4. ^ I remember seeing something like this, at the 1962 Seattle World's Fair! Not sure, since I didn't go on/into it, at age 9.
  5. Found this at our local in-city island shopping area, Granville Island. They celebrate Pride, all year 'round!
  6. I still believe, that Tokyo Disney Sea is The Most Romantic Theme Park Ever, for couples to visit, like yourself. Hope you got the vibe of the place, lol. And yes, that first look at Mt.Prometheus as you enter through the archway...it's really breathtaking, especially for your first time. Every visit I make there, the view still stops me, before I carry on through the park. Glad you finally got to experience TDS. Now you have to save up and return, lol. Like we're doing, for a 2017 visit.
  7. Rainy days in Japan are actually quite awesome!
  8. "100 Days 100 Nights" Sharon Jones
  9. Chuck, not including your airfare, is there a "rough estimate" of how much you spent, to put this trip altogether? The WCB passes, the hotel, extra tix for Disney. I have no idea what I want to do travel-wise next year. But the idea of doing at least one WCB has been in my head for a few years, now. And I think that this trip will let me (ahem) "coast" past Coaster #700, which is great! So next year's may be The One to go to. I'm just curious as to an idea of what's in $tore for my$elf should I decide to go. Thanks.
  10. I think the second photo was posted on a HKDL blog of some kind, but it was announcing the Corner Cafe having new menus which included Coca Cola as part of a few recipes. I was there in Sept. of 2012, and it wasn't branded by Coca Cola at that time. One of what they offered - Coca Cola Creme Brulee'. Would you have one of these? (o; My last day at the park, with a nice meal here at the Main Street Corner Cafe - - with no little Coca Cola sign under it...yet. (Sept.30-2012)
  11. Our room had a set level of heating in it. We tried to lower the temp. a degree or so, but it wouldn't go down beyond a particular temperature (I believe it was 18.5'C ?). So, we figured out where the fan was in our room (in the ceiling in front of the entry door, actually) and had it on a low setting which seemed to bring down the temp. if only a bit. But it was enough for us. We called the front desk about adjusting the temp., but every time we did this (and anything else we inquired about), we got someone who actually didn't know a lot about what was going on in and with the hotel. They told us the swimming pool was closed one day, when in fact, it was open, and until 9 pm or so. Also, the room's main window didn't open that much, a few inches at most. But we opened it and left it open while we were at the parks or the Village. Then came back, checked how the room was temp-wise, and either shut the window or left it open. And if it turned into a bright sunny day (we were facing towards the sun), housecleaning was nice enough to close our window curtains so the room wouldn't heat up, any more. Such is life in a Disney hotel room, heh. Another hotel room view, with a bit of fog thrown in. The morning we left, for home )o:
  12. ^ Well, it's obvious. It's October. You're cursed.
  13. ^^^ Sorry to read about one of the original designers of Efteling passing away. Villa Volta and Droomvlucht are still two of my all time favourite attractions there. Not to mention all the wonderful landscaping around the park. Me and Villa Volta, during the awesome TPR 2010 Europe Tour.
  14. ^ I'm curious, but does the March Beer Festival have the Midway and coasters and flat rides, like Oktoberfest has?
  15. hey Brian ^ Thanks, and congrats on your upcoming wedding! Here's the actual link to the Sequoia Lodge I orginally used when booking the room... http://www.disneylandparis.co.uk/hotels/disneys-sequoia-lodge/ The difference between the Montana rooms and the Standard rooms is location. Montana rooms all occupy the main building, and the two wings (South and North) attached to it. The Standard rooms are all in the Lodges, to one side of the main building, but the swimming pool and facilities are much closer to those rooms, and available for all. I have also taken pix of and posted the overall "map" of the Sequoia Lodge they give you, when you check in. I'll explain a few spots that you may be interested in, as far as access goes, etc. Also, we came into the hotel the "back way", meaning from the subway station and through Disney Village and around Lake Disney to get to the Sequoia. But then, this way in reverse is the way you would walk to get to the parks. Shuttle is unnessesary. And the exercise will be good, too. Not to mention what you'll see as you head to the parks. Hope some of this helps you out. The train station, where we came up with our bags, and headed through Disney Village to the Sequoia Lodge. First view of the Sequoia (the "back" of it), as we wind our way around Lake Disney, to it. The "Front" of the Lodge. Where you would be arriving, from the airport. We left this way, on the shuttle to CDG airport. How it all looks without all the notes and stuff on it. The Main Montana Bldg. is right there, that entire centre structure. With the wings extending out. The "Standard Rooms" are all in the Lodges section, to the right of the main bldg. The more detailed side of the Hotel map. It looks like a lot of stuff to figure out, but it wasn't really. The Main Building. This is the Second Floor of it, actually. The R in the middle left is your main Reception desk. Up on the right corner, where the Bear Creek Tavern is, is where 'roughly' we were, three floors above it. Hunters Grill and Bear Creek are on the First Floor, either side of the doors you come in, from the parks and the Village. These are where you have a decent breakfast in your mornings at the Sequoia. The Lodges. This is where the Standard Rooms all are. And the pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room. (o: Looking into our room, after some time (and a delicious meal) at the Studios. We arrived from Paris before 11 am, but check in was easy, they stored our bags, and we hit WDS immediately. Basic beds with TONS of soft and not-so soft pillows! (o: No mini-bar or mini-fridge, though. )o: Our view, with Tower of Terror waaaay in the background, there.
  16. Great follow up to the Bash, Chuck! I've wanted to do my WCB pretty much how you did it . With the add-on of getting to the Disney Resort for a long-needed visit there.
  17. And The Dark Side Cocktail Hour, might just be a hit, y'know?
  18. Scream Queens is just too much fun for us! So over the top, in your face, obvious un-PC insults....delicious! It's just too sassy and trashy to give up, after the first couple of episodes. Go Chanel!
  19. Plan and save in advance if you really REALLY want it. It helps, and I learned by way of the TPR Tours, to save up this way. Month to month. Separate savings account. Works for me. And me and David are both on limited income. But we figure it out, in advance. Easy.
