On our recent trip to Amsterday (we just got back!) We found one of these, literally opposite the Flower market in Amsterdam, in a Christmas Shop! Seems, "the other side of the street" (the market itself) wasn't allowed to sell these or "other paraphanelia." So of course, we bought a few of these for gifts, and ourself! And placed them (for now), where they loved from above, by the "coffee house" above them. It's in the Christmas Cactus planter. With Home Sweet (exhale) Home above them, there. And we found them here (among "other wrongful things"), right opposite the Flower Market!

^ Whatever the direction the coaster's going, that rock formation is awesome! -
^ Hmm, that needs to be SMASHED together, LOL! I forgot to post this link, as my David had emailed it to me some months ago. It sure makes you wonder how anybody could go week to week, or month to month, without at least one burger in their life. http://www.stumbleupon.com/su/1g55YP/:t71a9VtP:WHqa+eAn/www.cheeseandburger.com/ It's posted by Wisconsin Cheese, but hey - all cheese is awesome!

Theme Park Mugs, Cups, Glasses, and Such.

Oops. Of course, I forgot the one little mug not bought in Scandinavia, and I was having my morning coffee in it, while doing the last posting! Silly bear I am. It's from Hansa Park, near Hamburg, and only an hour or so ferry ride, from Denmark to Germany, which was part of last year's Tour. It's of Fluch von Novgorod, a great steel coaster with excellent theming from queue line to the exit walkways, and all of everything in between. But - unfortunately, it is also one of those mugs I cannot put in the microwave to reheat cold coffee, etc. Started sparking immediately the first time I tried it. Eek. The more you know... The enclosed lift hill is on it... ...As well as it's name. (o: Hansa is a great park. -

Well, it's been over a year and I still haven't posted those photos of my TPR Scandi Tour (2014) Collection. Until now. With my impending collection of the recent Paris-Amsterdam Tour I took with David, the need to catch up was obviously there. And so... These were the first two "name Coke bottles" I ever saw (among hundreds of other name bottles), on the TPR Scandi Tour (2014). Now they're everywhere in the world. But back then, these were My Very First. (o: And of course I had to find ones with David's and my name on them. The beverage containers from Tivoli Gardens. The middle container had a wee little soldier that is part of Tivoli's LOGO, from time to time. The left cup was celebrating the 100th Birthday of it's great wooden coaster, the right one a general cup. Back of both cups. And I don't read Danish. (o; The cups CAN be returned in a snazzy upright recycling machine, like this one. And you get a bit of change back for your effort. Very cool! A water bottle from Sarkanniemi. How do I know this? A bit of Tornado on the left of it; the name of the park on the right of it. A neat little cup from Farup Sommerland. The park's name is way down there on the bottom of it. And I got this as a "bonus" for my ice cream purchase. With sprinkles! Liseberg had it's mascot rabbit in pirate getup on the small mug. Arrrrrr indeed. Proof of where it came from. Liseberg had only this for it's new coaster, HELIX. Made of tin, and coated in enamel. The other side of it. I was expecting at least an actual coffee mug of some sort. But - at the time - not to be. Picked these up on the overnight ferry between Stockholm and Helsinki. Whe water is poured into the glasses, and the "ice cubes" are in the drink itself, blinking colours happen! The cubes. The glasses. I think the left one was finally out of battery power. And sadly, the batteries can't be replaced. Such is the way with some theme park/tour treasures. -

^ I believe there was a Customer Service Bldg. opposite you, as you entered the gate, to do just that. Upgrade from General Entry to adding the Rapid Pass. But, don't quote me. This was two Halloweens (years) ago, when I saw this. And checking through the site, all it lists is prices for online and Gate entry tix, both General and Rapid Pass. No mention of "adding on to = Rapid Pass" is there. You could actually contact them by email, to find out about that question. They are pretty good (and fast) in answering. I have gone as a Single Rider on practically everything offered in Playland - off season. For events like this, and the PNE, they usually don't allow it. On Coaster. For the rest of the rides, I don't know. -

Here's the quote I found about the Rapid Pass on Fright Night... So the Haunts you can only have one entry, and the 5 major rides here, only allow one Rapid Pass entry to ride. From what I make of the quote, here. -
Just came back from Amsterdam and Paris. And we had some really awesome burgers there, too! At a great place called BURGER BAR in Amsterdam. I will eventually explain their contents in my TR, that I am now starting up.

Glad to be back home from the trip - but sad that we had to come back home from the trip.

^ I haven't been to O'Hare in a couple of decades, for myself. Most of my 1970s and '80s air travel was done on United back then, and the connections were (mostly) always through O'Hare Airport. I was delighted to see they still had that underground "musical rainbow" thing as you traveled under the tarmac to the connection gates building. All the souvenirs are out of the bags now. So - much - shopping done! (o;

^^^ Cool! That last photo looks like it's an alien rock "moss" slowly taking over the wooden (?) fence behind it.
