  1. That's what I call a sexy 1st drop, Something unique I hope the turn at the bottom is "B&M smooth" and the cars will have centre dividers. 2007 season will become another great year for woodie lovers.
  2. I can only say Heide-Park is a must if you are in the north of the country. So much great detail and cleanness within the park, most of the employers speak "English" (or they know you come from England before you even speak to them). I have not been to the other German parks, hope to go in the next few years.
  3. Buy him a season ticket for his fav park. If money was no question, I would ask GCI or Gravity Group to build him a woodie for his workplace or back garden.
  4. Out of intrest just want to know the screen size of TPR members TV's which they use for their consoles and DVD watching. I do not have a HD TV yet, I use a Sony Wega 29" in my bedroom. My dream TV would be the 103" Panasonic Plasma, it would sit behind a red curtain which opens sideways when a film starts (just like in the old cinema's). Link: http://www.panasonic.co.uk/plasma-displays/th-103pf9ek/index.htm I have a Dolby Digital and DTS Neon Signs, they can go on each side of the screen.
  5. The Beast Son of Beast Voltex Vampire The Black Hole (ex Alton Towers RIP) 2 Face (that is wrong)
  6. 100% White (till I get a Suntan)
  7. Ninetendo maybe winning the console's at the moment, with their Wii and DS Lite selling well. "Golden Eye" came on the Ultra 64 which is made by Nintendo, Rare made lots of games for this console. I'm sure Rare can do an update for Goldeneye if they wanted for the Wii. You may even be able to download it later this year from the Wii shop. There has been talk of "Dead Rising" getting converted to PS3, Let's hope so
  8. About time this "Classic" woodie gets a fresh coat of white paint, it looks nice with the Red track. The Irish Sea does not make things easy for the paint to last. This and "Rollercoaster" must be the 2 white Woodies in the UK. Is the "Nash" and "Wild Mouse" going white as well...? How about use glow-in-the-dark or UV paint. Amanda is doing something right for a change
  9. Lovely layout, this will be so much fun. Just small enough to put into our back garden. If a wooden horse can be built as part of the theaming it could straddle the lift-hill or station.
  10. I think the Op presses the "green" button, the computer takes over and goes through it's sequence of launching the train forwards and backwards. There should be an override button which can be pressed if the computer fails, can anyone confirm this..? I wonder where and when the 1st "double" twist Impluse will be built.
  11. I want to ride a "Floorless", there are none in the UK, (Yet). Any world rated Woodies are always my aim to ride
  12. That was fast construction for a Euro Nice compact layout, could feel dizzy after a couple of laps. I just hope the local's don't mind the colour scheme, it's quite bright. I'm looking forward to a layout bigger than "Speed" which has 2 loops, more camelbacks and an exciting downward / upward helix back to back.
  13. I saw it last year and it does look out of place with it's triangle supports. You have to support the park for trying to have a ride which is so different. That's a shame the ride might be taken down before it is open. If the costs are 2 high and it's very heavy on the Tech side, the Park has no choice but to remove it. All those man hours lost constructing the ride and creating the foundations etc. Did the company who owns the "Walibi" parks sell them to another Company, this could be a reason why the ride has to go or just did not fit into the park correctly. Anyone know how "Turbine" is getting on...? How I miss it. -------------------------------------------------------- I wish the Park did not put lots of "Chorine" into the water at their onsite- Water Park, it was nearly burning my skin, it's bad enough in England. All the guys have to wear "Speedo's" no shorts etc. a very grand sight
  14. That's some lovely pictures, I'll have to visit the Boardwalk someday to ride this "Classic" woodie. I wish England had something like this. I call the "Rock-o-plane" an "Egg Wheel".
  15. That's some feat to ride a coaster that many times. The guy is staying loyal to the Park and that is a good thing, if this coaster was "razed", I wonder if he would hit "Ghostrider" or "Silver Bullet" 20,000 times. I managed to ride "Collosos" at Heide-Park and "Goliath" at Walibi World 14 times each during the day I was there. But then after driving from the UK you have to ride them as much as possible. Both coasters are a joy.
  16. I love woodies as well, I have ridden both woodies in Holland, now there is a new beast arriving in 2007 and it should be a winner for the Park. Good height and lenght, how about one of the curves being in a Tunnel with some light and fog effects. I love "Robin Hood" at Walibi World, could do with a Helix before the rise into the brakes for a great finish. I don't like the woodie at Eftling, it's way too rough and slow. Needs to be rebuilt or replaced. It does not do the rest of the park justice. Holland does suffer from lack of wood coasters. I'll be moving to Holland in the next few years and I'll def make lots of trips to check this woodie out. Thank You - Toverland for saying yes to GCI
  17. I hope the "Nuke" did not go near the fault line, otherwise your gonna have a massive earthquake.
  18. Sorry to hear about your cat, I'll pray for him/her
  19. The Uk has just had 85mph winds, 12 people died It's a mad start to the year. I hope we get a Hot summer.
  20. I hate "football", but I'm sure the Beckham's fit into L.A. just fine. I bet they don't have to go through the Immergrations laws like everyone else. I would love to live in the USA, esp near Cedar Point.
  21. Some nice shot's and the guy got busted by an Owl http://www.28dayslater.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=5898
  22. Some updated pics of Southport and bits of Cyclone everywhere. http://ridemad.com/southport-pleasureland-january-2007#more-28 Very sad indeed, cheers Amanda
  23. This guy visited the park at night. Great shots of the coasters. http://www.28dayslater.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=7326 Can someone confirm this park has closed..? or is it all SBNO Anyone want to do this for Cedar Point or 6FMM
  24. James: Hants / England Thorpe Park - 40 mins Chessington - 45 mins Paulton's Park - 40 mins If the M25 / M3 and M27 are running with no hold-ups.
  25. Thorpe Park is my local and "Nenesis Inferno" is top, B&M goodness (so smooth n quick) followed by the "Flying Fish"
