Great King Cobra POV
verticalzero replied to Skramp's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I rode it in 2000, gave a good ride apart from the old style OHR. Is this the only "stand-up" to have bunny hops. -

Photo TR: Bell's Last Summer
verticalzero replied to Shavethewhales's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
What a "lovely" 1st pic of the sun catching the supports. If I owned a wooden coaster, I would add colour changing lights under the structure pointing upwards, as soon as the train went down the 1st drop, the lights would switch off ( only leave handrail bulb on) till the train returned to the station. I wish Bell's the best of luck for finding another area for their attractions and hope to see them working soon. -

I have no time for the Royal Family, my Family, Friends, Theme Parks, Cinema, Shows, exhibitions and TPR are far more important.

Taken from PS3 Centre Website: http://www.ps3center.net/story-276.html?PHPSESSID=fd52ae684b9f22d554268fc652241e6f why is Sony still calling them PAL, since HDMI renders the whole concept of PAL, NTSC and Secam redundant? The new PlayStation 3 will not feature the PlayStation 2’s Emotion Engine chip and will rely completely on the software to emulate PS2 backwards compatibility. This means that European gamers will have a far more limited backwards compatibility list compared to the and Japanese PlayStation 3 systems. This is some bad news for European gamers as it basically means that they had to wait out the delay of the console and now will have a system that will have less features than the and North American versions since the software cannot run as many games as the built in Emotion Engine chip. The announcement came from Sony Computer Entertainment Europe that the PlayStation 3 will ship to Europe, Middle East, Africa, and with a “new hardware specification.” "PS3 is first and foremost a system that excels in playing games specifically designed to exploit the power and potential of the PS3 system," said David Reeves, President of SCEE. "Games designed for PS3 offer incredible graphics quality, stunning gameplay and massively improved audio and video fidelity that is simply not achievable with PS and PS2 games. Rather than concentrate on PS2 backwards compatibility, in the future, company resources will be increasingly focused on developing new games and entertainment features exclusively for PS3, truly taking advantage of this exciting technology."

Such silly remarks. Prince Charles needs to ride a "Vekoma" 20 times, get those cobwebs out of his head.

By looking at this list on the below website: what coasters would you like to see become operating again, like to own or have re-built by GG or GCI. My choice is: Big Dipper at Chippewa Lake Park - re-build and like to Own Screechin Eagle at Lesourdsville Lake - re-locate and re-open Flyer Comet at Whalom Park - Like to Own Comet at Lincoln Park - Like to Own Wild Cat at Idora Park - Like to Own Thunderbolt at Coney Island - rebuild Link: http://www.rollercoastermayhem.com/sbno.html

Lovely pic's of the Water Park and the beach area. Very strange how the rides were closed and rotated for being open. You bought back memories of my trip to Hawaii in 1986. Wikki beach is the best, have to be carfeul of the sea's pullback and with sand going everywhere. What do you mean by "hot daddy lifeguard", was the guy that nice or was it another blow up "Santa" in your 1st pic

I'll have to check his website when I get home. Where did you get Yeti-Ball from..? Will he be riding the "front" seat on your trips. -
Walibi Holland Discussion Thread

The best direction a park can go is to become a "Family" type one, it has to have lots of rides which can cater for the whole age range. I love this park (been there 4 times in 2 years) and will watch it grow over the years. Removing "Via Volta" is no big deal, they could replace it with a Spinning or a Euro-Fighter model if needed. I wish I could witness the destruction of a Vekoma in May Personally I would like to see Walibi World become the companies top Park, A "Cedar Point" of Holland or Europe with a Hyper Floorless, Stand-Up, a B&M Heaven and more woodie coasters. The Park is still young, did the new owners spend 25 million pounds in 2000/1. Goliath (Is it possible to "love" a coaster so much you feel down when you have not ridden it for months) is so highly addictive to ride (on none-school holiday days of course) I can sit on it all day, I managed over 20 circuits. It's very sad to leave this wonderful steel beast and I will be returning to the park for many years to come just to experience the lovely it produces. I can't wait to smile at Goliath again after i've passed through the ticket booth's. With Efteling, Walibi World and Toverland, Holland is a great place to visit for your coaster thrills and relax in their Centre Parc's, only 30 Euro's for a day visit. In a few years I will be an hour or 2's drive away from all 3, not the 5-6 hours it takes from England. "Tot ziens" as Via Volta is going to say in May -

"Een goede dag verder!" and "Doe voorzichtig!" I've been to Holland 4 times in 2 years, I can say a little Dutch Toverland will be a park to watch their growth over the coming years -

WOW, the construction shots are getting more sexy every day. I hope Toverland and GCI have changed the layout and not told anyone, that would be a great surprise to have an extra bunny hop or curve. That's my holiday taken care of for this year, I don't know about driving though (I've driven to Walibi World in the Fleoverland area). How many hours from England..? Where is the nearest airport so I can fly/drive n coast those banked corners..? No women on this planet can beat the curves of a GCI Coaster, amazing. -
Which parks have changed the most?

I say "Toverland" as well, it has now grown up into a family park. -

That is a real shame, 2 many Top Spins around and not enough "Topple Towers". I wonder what a 200ft Topple Tower would be like.. -

For people who want to visit the "real" oak tree nr AT, here is some info and a near-by B&B. There is a path going down into the woods, and after about 5 minutes, you can see the oak on your left. http://www.chainedoak.com/ -
I'm interested in this coaster since reading about it a few years ago. http://www.roller-coaster.com.au/gallery.php?gid=11 This must be the most worked on coaster since it was started on 20 years ago. Has anyone heard if this coaster will open soon or will it just be an internal project, which the public will not be able to ride? Its best features are 30 degree tilting cars and a fly-by on a 700ft drop cliff.
