  1. BPB do make use of their space well, I do not rate the park high on my list of places to visit and it is a 5 hour drive. BPB should sell the headbanging SLC to another park and add a compact "Rocket" coaster. I may ride the SLC once but not a great fan. When I visit the park my time is spent on Nash,Wild Mouse, BD, ghost train, roller coaster and The dark water ride.
  2. This looks an excellent water park, lovely sides and water bowls The Island def needs a decent Water Park
  3. Mean Streak should get re-tracked and have those "trims" removed from the 1st drop. MS is a very good design it just needs to be looked after more often. I'm sure Cedar Fair could replace MS if they wanted. As for re-tracking some of the "The Voyage", this is a very demarding ride on it's track and trains and needs to be done most seasons. Grand National and Wild Mouse at BPB should be re-tracked soon as they are very rough.
  4. The Cyclone is protected and can never be touched, right? Why does it matter if the cyclone gives a rough ride, it is very old and you can't expect it to be "glass-smooth". I bet a "Hang n bang SLC" gives worse rides. That's the whole fun of riding a ACE coaster, to get thrown around and come off feeling like being in a blender. I'll ride it in an afternoon / evening when it has warmed up and going faster. I've never ridden the Cyclone and hope to one day. I'm glad it is not going the same way as the "Texas Cyclone". What happened to the front mouth entrance of the Texas Cyclone..?
  5. He should be ok on the rides, make sure he is not 2 scared though. Have a good trip.
  6. For those people who have not heard of this ride or not got the Credit: I emailed Morey's Pier (Dino.Fazio@moreyspiers.com) regarding this ride and they replied: The ride has been closed since 1998 when the previous owners of the pier sold the property so us. Most of the rides were removed with the sale, leaving just a couple behind, including the Golden Nugget. We were and are not interested in developing another full amusement pier at this time, so we are considering moving the ride to one of our developed properties. The Golden Nugget Mine Ride is a steel tracked coaster with wood supports that resides in a "Mountain" themed building. It was built in the late 1950's. It had numerous props and tricks that coincided with the "mine" theme. In addition, there are two small coaster drops and trains with articulated axles that give riders the perception that the train will fall off the track. It is one of a kind with a very Disney quality. We hope that we can bring it back to life, but the age and level of deterioration are limiting factors, so we are looking at it from all angles. ------------------------------------------------ What are your thoughts of making this ride working again as it is a one-of-a-kind Dark ride...
  7. This will bring back the memories of this great woodie, Was the ride as good as the Cyclone..? UNDER THE ROLLER COASTER is a film about Mae Timpano, who lived under the famed Thunderbolt Roller Coaster at Coney Island. To thousands, the Thunderbolt Roller Coaster was a Coney Island icon, but for Mae Timpano it was home. This enchanting film examines the true-life experience of one woman and her unique relationship to Coney Island living under the famed Thunderbolt Roller Coaster. 8. I won't be eating a pigeon "Zinger" Burger from TP Wendy's rule the "square" burger market with their "Triple". mmm lovely
  9. RIP Pigeon, Atleast it's body did not get stuck in the wheels and make the train stop mid-track. I wonder what attraction "Stealth" is to the birds, is the paint or just curious to see what this steel monster is.. I can agree 200ft high on the Top Hat is a mighty fine place to pirch and see what's going on around you. Have these kills just been on the Bunny Hop section..? I wonder if the park will provide "goggles" soon so you don't get sprayed with Blood n feathers.
  10. Excellent building work of one of my fav steel coasters, that's gonna be a huge ride when finished. It nearly takes up all of your house. Your have to post more pic's with your progress and finished ride. Will you strap a mini camera to the front and have a POV of the ride..? Good luck.
  11. Really nice photo's, esp of the "Killer Whale" show. How wet did you get..? I do miss the Killer Whales which were at the Windsor Park (UK) before it was turned into a Legoland and cost £40 each for admission.
  12. This is a good coaster for BPB and they should get at of attention with it. BPB did not tell the papers "we closed Southport to get this ride", is it really worth 8m, you could have a world No1 Woodie from Gravity Group or GCI for that price, BPB has no space left. Will BPB issue the "rides" with Hard Hats to soften the "Hang n Bang" effect. I'll ride it once to see how smooth it is I wonder what ride/s are next to be removed from BPB in the near future. Space Invader 2, Iron Bru Revolution, Avalance, Roller Coaster or even the "Nash". What are your thoughts on the next departure from the "beach"
  13. What a whopper size he is, I'm glad he can have a full life: Link: http://www.wkyc.com/news/news_article.aspx?storyid=59708
  14. UK get this on the 1st Dec, I may get it as I love RCT3. I played the PS2 version of the game and thought it was very good, you are limited on the coaster building as it's more of a "look after everything in the park" game. The PSP version comes out in the UK in Feb, I'll buy the USA version if it's out before then.
  15. Send X-Flight to CF KI or MI Adventure. A 2008 install would be cool for me considering I should be at both parks in June / July. I've only been on 1 flyer and that's "AIR" at AT. It's not a bad layout and is a fun ride. lack's speed.
  16. Carnage - What have people be saying about "Mantis", I found it very smooth with good strong G's in 2000, after 4 times in a row I felt quite dizzy. I have no fear of going upside down, it's "floating Airtime" which I need to address the most. youthink - I would ride a woodie (Thunderhead) than go upside down anytime, I am a woodie fan. Your lucky to go on Screaming Eagle and The Boss, Never ridden them myself, Screaming Eagle looks a better ride.
  17. BDG - Yes I would have to pay "Import Tax" if I bought a PS3 / or anything from outside the UK. That's the joy of living in Europe where we are always last with gadgets. My PSP comes from Japan, I use a "step-down/step-up" convertor on our 240v electric system. I payed £40 custom's change when the PSP arrived, but I got it months before it came out in the UK. I would not buy anything electric from Ebay, I just don't trust the sellers. Did you know the UK is the most spied (nannystate) on in Europe, you can be seen on upto 300 CCTV camera's each day, now "fingerprinting" is being introduced if your caught speeding or any car crime.
  18. That's good you can add each others ID onto the Wii, your be able to contact each other and it will seem like a big happy family. I'll print mine when I get a Wii, the European Wii setup might be different to the USA one.
  19. There is nothing wrong with talking about next-gen consoles, if anyone finds any faults or good things with the machines it's best to tell everyone. If you don't like the thread topic then you don't open it What machine/s do you own..? I have 2 x PS2, PSP, DS Lite, Ultra 64, ZX Spectrum, 5 PC's and a Gamecube. I may get a 360,Wii and PS3 when there is a price drop.
  20. RedSteel got rushed out and it was some bugs in the code which made your Wii freeze. It's not your machine The game got a low score from "Gamespot" and I will hire it than buy it.
  21. Congratulations Robb on your purchase, i'm sure your have great evenings playing Wii Sports with your family and friends. Have you connected it up to the Internet yet and bought any "Old Skool" games..? I've been checking the Video reviews etc on "Gamespot", the Wii does not come out in the UK till 8th Dec. It does look a cool (different colours and DVD drive next please Nintendo) system which is so flexable. How can the DS Lite be connected to the Wii as I bought "Lite" today...?
  22. Happy Birthday Allan. Do you get a Wii or PS3..?
  23. O.J. just wants to get back into the "spotlights" again. Why do Filmstars,Rockstars etc do such dumb things, they need special help and check out a "white padded room".
  24. I'm sure Sony will quicken the PS3 pace for graphics to catch up with great looking 360 "Gears Of War". Wait for the Jan (after Xmas) sales and purchase all 3 machines. Yes Sony does over price their goods, your just paying for their badge name, most of the computer chips inside come from different compaines. PS3 cost £420 in the UK, so your price of $600 is cheap. The exchange rate is nearly $2 to the pound at the moment. I so wanted to fly to the States (weekend just gone) and Q up for a PS3 and a Wii, worth the £400 airfare. Enjoy your new consoles
  25. Considering the 360 has had a years lead over the PS3 and only now has something like "Gears of War" appeared on 360. Games have to be drip feed to the public before the max of the machine is shown. The PS3 does have a lot to live up to and if you can manage to part with $600 for the 60GB machine, i'm going to buy a 600GB / 1TB HDD for my PS3 next year. Sony could produce a game better than "Gears" on PS3 running at 1080P on the "fly". I recon "Killzone 2" will be in 1080p at 60fps. Most games run at 720p, just depends on the developers if they want to go any higher with the resolution. Only 6 out of the 8 Cells are working in a PS3, so max performance is a couple of years away. PSP CPU runs at 333mtz, but most games are coded for 111mtz to save the battery life.
