Hazelton Park (RCT 3)
Reon replied to HCOSurfer90's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Very nice looking Accellorator! You should expand the station building to cover the brake run, so there can be a fly-by. Great job overall, keep up the good work. -
Well, to be fair the helix was FULLY braked. Very slow at the top, and slowed again at the bottom. Personally I didnt like the first drop, but thats just a matter of oppinions. Thanks for that camera comment, I'll keep that in mind. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

For the white on the outside, I dont know. I scanned them in and the borders were cut right at the edge of the photo. As for quality, I was forced to use a disposible camera, as I still need to buy a digital (any suggestions on good/not so expensive ones are accepted)

V2 Code Red I'm gonna have to remember that one. Its great, and delicious. *Goes off to find a Baja mix V2* -
^^Yeah. I was making fun of that part. I'm not saying that I hated Eagle. Just that the Red side was far superior to the blue. As for seating, back car for red, front seat for blue, and 3rd row on S:UF. Dont get me wrong, I loved the park. I just left on a really sour note after a disapointing lap on S:UF and an overly long line for the wild mouse. I would have loved to stay the 2 hours I had origionally planned to hit Wolf, Batman, and maybe some flats if I had the time...

Kings Island (KI) Discussion Thread

I hope I can get there, but I have a trip that week, and I don't know if we're leaving Friday or Sunday. Oh well, is any one up for a meet at KI tomarow? -
Yup, though I was paying more attention to the airtime that followed
-
My trip was short and sweet...well, until the lines got long anyways. I started out my trip of many new firsts with a whiz on the Whizzer. A unique ride to be sure, but also really fun. I especially loved the ground hugging turns where I attempted to grab trees and such. My only grudge was that they were only running 1 train. I give it a 7.5/10 overall. Next up I went on over to Demon. I loved the ride, though I'm partial to this type of looper (Keep in mind that Vortex is one of my fave steels). The layout was simple, but all the tunnels REALLY added to the experience, as did the walk on to the back row. This ride gets a solid 7/10, since its good but old, and the ride is a bit too short. Taking a break from coasting, I Hit a few flats in Southwestern Territory: Whiplash, the swinging ship, and Giant Drop. None of them were anything special (Giant drop is my least favorite type of tower ride..), though I give a thumbs up to theming. (Yes, I am congratulating 6F for theming rides ) While I was in the area, I went to Viper. It was my first CyCLONE (granted that it was the modified one), and I loved it! The first half was a bit bland, but after that double dip it was nothing but sweet airtime. Once again, Kudos to SFGAm for the theming and wait time (Sign said 60, I was on and off in 30.) Solid 8/10 for this baby, though it was no where as good as some of my favorite woodies... Next on my list was one of the main reasons I wanted to come to this park for ages: Raging Bull. It would be my first B&M Hyper, and it was better then I imagined. Solid 9/10, this thing may just make it to my top 5... Continuing my credit quest, I made my way over to the Racing coaster with the excessively long line, aka American Eagle. Once I got past that big blue ramp, the ride was alright for a racer, though it's strongly favored for red to win. 6.5/10, for the red side, and 5/10 for blue. Once more I took a break from coasting, and decided to get some food. I looked around for ages, but everything was too expensive, so I just went on to Revolution. Nice frisbee, but I think I like Delerium-style ones better. I have to admit that the reverse spin was insane though! After that, I gave up on food and got some Italian Ice, then ate it as I strolled through the other half of the park, making my way over to Rajin Cajun. This is where the day got bad. With 2.5 hours left on the clock, I was only able to hit 2 rides. Cajun had an INSANE 45 minute wait on it. Though it was interesting (my first spinning mouse) it wasn't worth the wait. 7.5/10 for it though. Finally, I hit S:UF. I thought that my first flyer would be a Vekoma, since FireHawk is in my homepark. Oh well, B&M will do I guess. As for the ride, NOT WORTH IT! The only good part was the pretzel loop, and the wait was 90 minutes, even though the sign said it would only be 60. 3/10 for it, I really hope that I like the Vekoma models better.... Anyways, I give the park an overall 6.5/10. Great mix of coasters, and good theming. My qualm for the place is water fountain/shade management, a problem that I also saw at SFKK a few years ago. Also, $15 parking was just wrong But enough of my rantings, heres the part you came for: photos. Hi! We're cooler looking Super-characters who don't get our own rides. Screw Catwoman, SHES hawt... 80 was a complete failure in my eyes. I'd rather whore another kiddie than ride these guys... Number 79. If you look close enough, you can see a car in it. I wasnt THAT concerned about missing this one, since I hit Wicked Twister before. More reason for me to come back to the park though.. Wii section FTW! This is the only picture of Wiggles World you get. Enjoy #77, 78. Pity that lucky number 77 wasn't something cooler, though that one WAS my red side credit. Hi! I take you through a ten minute blue ramp of doom! Raging Bull is suprisingly photogenic and fun One of my favorite shots that day. #76 Insane backseat airtime, go! Mmmm, snake venom Number 75! This is a milestone somehow... I was a bit sad that I didnt get my first Vu credit today... Hi, Derek! Credit 74... This thing is selectively photogenic Credit 73 Entrance really looks nice. Note the crowd in the background...Morning rushes are fun. My pimped out ride for the day

It actually looks fun once you see the fountains and such..I'd ride it if I ever went to England. -
Why didnt you tell me you'd be up there today? I actually got to go today, and we could have met since I was basically a single rider. Oh well...I pretty much agree with everything you said in there, except I didnt have time for Batman, V2 or Wolf. More reason for me to go back though

You want to meet up on the 23rd when the park opens for daily operation? I truly have nothing better to do until Coney opens for the summer, so I have time to spare -

THATS what I wanted to see Even if they dont theme the actual ride, Firehawk already looks EXCELLENT! Area X is a decent name, but I still say Top Gun would have almost been right at home there (Area 51 in the queu line) -

Just looking at all the pictures, this ride has definately gone from mediocre to uber-sweet! Personally I like the second posted layout(though their probabbly the same), but the over the street hill will make this worth it regaurdless. Kudos once more to GG! -
Great TR! It really gives me a preview of what I'm gonna see in a couple of weeks. I just hope Skull mountain is operating, that ride has been a mystery to me for AGES now..

WOW! That verticle drop through the spiraling queu is a great visual, both on and off ride....As for names, make the area some sort of mysterious minetown, and call it Desperado Mine. -

I was just trying to relate to the situation at hand so you guys could stop bitching at the aquatrax. Besides, I never said anything went wrong with it, or that it was pushing the envelope. I merely opened the door to discussion about whether or not it was or had any problems... -
Working in a park in summer
Reon replied to Lincow's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Thats what I meant. I was just too lazy to write it all out, and basically skipped ahead to the final part. I thought that anyone with common sence would realise not to start the ride without first doing everything they could to make sure the area was clear and that everyone on the ride was propperly secured. -

You see how the camera snaps on top of those hills? Thats not a good thing. If you could somehow reduce speed a bit, that would be great for airtime though...
