  1. Well, atleast your finally customizing. A few quick tips though: *Classify it as a Intamin for realism. BM doesn't do launches, and Intamin is known for their tophats... *Bunnyhop before big hill=BAD. Unless that so called "bunnyhop" is taller than the tophat. I couldn't see it in the pictures, so I can't tell..
  2. Don't you just love posting at the same time? Though I do agree with you. Maverick is really one of my draws towards CP right now, though I'd be glad to go up there and ride the other stuff. Thats why I have a maxx pass and live 4 hours away
  3. Where exactly do you want to work in the park? Food services, shops, games, rides? I've been a ride operator for a year now, and that job is pretty easy. Just press a few buttons to actually work the thing. The only real problem is public relations, though that's just being nice to everyone and making sure all order is kept etc...
  4. As far as pushing the envelope for B&M goes, does anybody remember if anything happened with Sheikra? I mean, combining hyper with verticle, adding inversions to verticle, and a splash section. That sounds like pushing it to me. I mean, sure that has been done before in small ways (accellorator tophats=verticle and often +200ft, stormrunner has done verticle+inversions, and there are rides with splash sections.)BUT has anyone ever put the three together before? Also, new train design etc.... Just trying to add a new perspective in to destract all the bashers
  5. I'd honestly be disapointed if they decided to ditch the barrel roll. Albeit it being taken at a dangerous speed, it was one of my main draws to the ride. Like other people have mentioned, there IS more than enough room to make it a longer, smoother inversion, and possibly turn it into more of a zero-g? Either that, or turn that part into a watersplash. Then we'll have a true aquatrax -Jared
  6. WOW! That shirt looks awesome...Too bad you dont have any extras for people you might run into from TPR...
  7. BOO! I was really hoping to go up and ride it sometime this month, since lines would be non-existant and Coney doesn't open untill June. Oh well, guess I'll have to go on a day off...
  8. I've been looking for an excuse to go up to CP next week, so I may meet you guys for that part..
  9. He mentioned once long ago that Blue 2 would be a family/kiddie coaster. That explains the lack of elements. Still, its amazing that he could put something so professional together not once but twice, all while improving on his methods!
  10. Old school hyper for the win! Will this be Morgan or Arrow?
  11. I think its a new mirror of the extended helix version or something. Looks a lot better than the old one IMO. Also, water coaster? That log flume looks like a JJ credit
  12. Rundown on oppening day FX: *Siren: Yes *Water at second launch: No *Fire at second launch: Yes *Fog at second launch: No *Headlights: No, but they never work anyways *Water splash: Yes *Soundtrack: No
  13. Rough and reckless as usual. Then again, I rode back seat. The line was suprisingly short though...only half an hour.
  14. Theres a pic of the train on a tophat. I would have taken a picture, but Doug was in control of the camera..
  15. Hyper? I like that pre-lift sequence..lookes fun.
  16. I've never seen that Mine Train model before..is it powered? Also, great TR. I love that one shot of Colassus with the corkscrew over the other track.
  17. Yes you should. Aside from a few small quirks like the lack of Intamin/B&M, KI is a good park. Make sure to go to Coney Island while your in town. Its a small park now, but there is a credit to be had As for Intamin, I think I found our subliminal hint for next year (though it's a long shot.) On all of the signs for Souvenier cups, theres a picture of Accelorator. Could this be a sign of a small rocket? We certainly have the room to build, and CF has taken the wheel... Jared "let the rumors begin"Becker
  18. WHo's Chris? I got the shirt at the giftshop next to dragons. Forgot how much it cost, but likely it was around $20... ^I could do that, but I dont want those belts bouncing around
  19. For once I can say good move! That minicar thing goes great with your dive coaster...
  20. Thanks for the comments, everyone! Now as promised, here comes round 2 of the huge photos... Bus POV! We met the regional VP New show of hot chicks and warm tunes... Tower and Great Wolf International Street More from the tower..
  21. Why yes it is. He worked there for 8 years, or so I have been told. My career isnt as famous though. 1 year at Coney so far To answer some other questions, yes that is my pimping Dueling Dragons shirt. I tend to wear it whenever I go to a park, or atleast until I get some new shirts... I had my e-ticket all ready for the pass, but the line was BUSY! It took an hour for people to buy a pass or ticket, and then another hour to get the pass processed.
  22. Yes it was..Your thinking 2005. As for your revue, I actually found it to be pretty good myself. Dont see what you hate so much aside from the belts and lack of Cobra As for breakdowns, its oppening day! There are bound to be a few things that werent 100% yet. How was Racer? I never got to ride it, since it was broken down half the day.
  23. Doug took basically all the photos, and never resized them...As for being positive, some people just hate their park I guess...Aside from the great Arrow seatbelting, I dont really see anything bad about the park. I'll have another batch up later today.
  24. To start of my 2k7 coaster season, my college, Marshall University, sponsered a trip to King's Island's opening day. The ride there took about four hours, the wait to get my pass processed took another hour, and my time in the park was limited to say the least. Anyways, I think the pictures will do the talking, but first, some quickies: Vortex: Seatbelts IJST: SIRENS WORKED! Cedar Fair seems to want to make the effects work again... Cedar Fair's impact: I like what I see, other than the killing of my Vortex airtime...Good things shall come to Kings Island. *Edit* Apparently I uploaded them in reverse order...Oh well. The next batch will be up in the correct order Welcome to the report. Step aboard! Home sweet home..in sideways vision! Transportation in today's event. I took the red bus. Hooray air conditioning! My travelling companion, Sir Doug-not-a-member-of-this-site Trees! Through the trees! Taking a break at the reststop of doom Apparently, my happy juice machines are serving time... Me reading a book. A sight you will never see again A route to an alternate dimension where Paramount still controls the park? Cedar Fair has been wonderful about taking down those pesky Paramount signs Great Wolf...through the trees! I'd join in worship, but I cant find that park... HAHAHAHAHA! It has a loop... A sign that Cedar Fair has taken over I cant wait for this baby to open! New park logo It took ages to get through the pass processing line... ..but I got it! Notice anything missing? I love the signs in the IJST queu Italian Job, through a tree! Apparently the Eiffel Tower is by a city garage now. SIGNATURE SHOT, GO! Coney Island's (Cincinnati) dodgems pwn these, and I'm not just saying that because I like to opperate them. Happy funtime themed coaster was running great Mmmm, Vortex. The reason I came today! Reason number two for making the trip Outer Limits area means one thing... FIREHAWK CONSTRUCTION PHOTO! And in sideways vision! Photospot more that likely Up-skirt shot! Yup...thats us? The area formerly known as King Cobra The roughest ride in the world! FireHawk's almost ready to fly! View from the tower Looking down from 314 feet
