  1. I cant really recall what year, but Adventure Express was my first. All I remember is that it was a year before Top Gun was new...
  2. So I'm guessing that Dragon's Lair is some sort of log flume? Anyways, YAY HP!! Honestly my favorite park aswell. I love how one side has a valley of coastergasmic goodness, and the other has 2 of my all time favorite coasters (StormRunner and Wildcat). I want to go back some time to see how the new trains compare to when I rode the old version...Also, to check out the boardwalk I guess. Wildcat>Lightning Racer
  3. Needs a taller lift hill. It looks ugly, even if the ride is launched.
  4. I've only been to CP and KI, but I intend on hitting GL this year...maybe even this thursday when I'm off work. Out of where I've been, KI. I realise that CP is the big "OMFG CREDITZ!" park, but once you get past TTD's one shottedness, CP is really all about records. KI has a better atmosphere and the rides are more fun IMO.
  5. The coaster actually looked moderately safe compared to the other stuff...Also, friggen tempest
  6. I really like forest runner. It looks exciting, yet its not so overextravagant that it defeats the purpose and atmosphere of the park. Great job.
  7. Of course KI isnt getting a dive machine. You must be reffering to the verticle drop on their planned accellorator for next year.
  8. Yes, but I'm not complaining. Aside from the annoying placement of the line, the ride KICKS A$$! Probabbly my new 2nd favorite coaster there, making my new KI top3: *Vortex *Firehawk *Beast
  9. Eh. I was there today, and rode BOTH sides, since they were running the trains pretty well. I actually saw them with two trains on the track a few times while I waited. Lines for me were about 30-45 minutes, so yeah. Firehawk pwns. Also, FoF appears to have their "rave" lights back on in the bowl Red train>Yellow
  10. So, we're bringing DDR shots back to Photo TR's? I havent seen that in years, but its already in 2 ones that I've read today. I'll have to add my share when I ride X-Flight tommarow. Oh wait, its Firehawk now, isnt it? [/taunt]
  11. Knowing this park's history of reusing/updating rides, I say its a NEW version of Sulfer. Hopefully with a cooler layout, because the old one looked ugly IMO.
  12. Does this model even HAVE a third train? Batwing only had 2, though they were Six Flags to be fair... Either way, I have the day off on thursday if you want to meet up then.
  13. Not to be a B&M Hater, but I say good riddance. I was always silently complaining that Sulfur was a bit ugly, and that it just didnt look like it flowed right.
  14. They have 3 suspended coasters already (4 if you count Firehawk) None are BM, mind you, but atleast they have all the bases covered (suspended, flyer, boomerang, jr slc). If they get anything BM, it should be a dive machine. We dont have any verticle coasters, which is further reason to get some sort of rocket.
  15. Rides. I basically rotate around to operate everything, so what I run is a mystery. I am a returning op though, so I should get priority on ride of choice this year. Personally, I'm hoping to run the bumper cars or Python
  16. It's a possability! I'll take a Rita, custom, or a new model! Just...please not a TTD or mini KK Personally, I'd LOVE a StormRunner clone, but Rita seems to be the new stock model... I just speculated an Accellorator style one because of the picture.
  17. Kings Island will get a rocket coaster (possibly Xcellorator style) for 2008. Theres a shot of Xcellorator on all the souvenier cup signs (even at Dippin Dots!)
  18. Sorry I couldn't come and meet you. All my family's cars were gone. Anyways, great to hear the positive review on Firehawk. Hopefully I can hit it sometime next week, depending on my schedual at Coney (my first shift is tommarow afternoon)
  19. I dont see why you bother with invert when there is already a mouse coaster in the park. Anyways, great job so far, though you need to fix plunge a bit imo. When are we getting a pov of that inverted coaster?
  20. I'll try to get up there cuz I want a spin on Firehawk after just riding Batwing yesterday (I loved it, so I'm expecting good things) Anyways, I'm supposed to hang with my friend this afternoon, but if I can squeeze it in I'll be there.
  21. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I was just there for a school trip, and the mid section was closed..Even ignoring the fact that I'm down 3 credits now, WHY? First and foremost, Trimpers is a MUCH better deal than the other boardwalk park. I mean, aside from the better variety of rides, they run the park on individual tickets, whereas Jolly Rogers or whatever its called requires an unlimited ride ticket that is insanely expensive for the 2 or 3 good rides they offer. Sure, Timpers can be better about opperations, but I've visited Ocean City 3 times now. Timpers is INFINATELY better than that fruity Pirate's park, and I would be...sourly dissapointed if it were to close. Jared"and just when I was thinking of moving to OC once I graduated..."Becker[/b]
  22. I cant recall the exact details since I was out of town at the time. All I remember hearing is that there was some sort of kink in a support coming out of the rose bowl helix, and when the train went over it, everyone on that train got severly injured in one way or another. Supposedly they had to rush everybody off in ambulences once they got back to the station. Thats all I remember though. Do a search to find the rest or something. As for why its closed, the entire length of track has been getting re-worked since the accident. Also, SoB is recieving new trains from the old Myrtle Beach rollercoaster, so it wont open till track is reworked and the trains test on it etc. Hopefully that answers your questions.
  23. Yes. It once was the world's only looping wooden rollercoaster, but there was an...accident on the hill before it, and apparently they thought the problem was the loop and took it out.
  24. No, they sold it to Paramount Judging by the great work on the park, I'm hoping that Cedar Fair or Universal took over. Universal for theming sake, and CF for all the rides...
  25. Hmmm. I didnt know Demon HAD a third train. It looked fine to me running with 2 though
