  1. Nice touch, bringing back the old school RCT1 way of theming rides (using other coaster tracks) As for the layout, I agree that its nice but way to short. Perhaps add a figure 8 finale over the water, or another inversion? I could see a boomerang at the bottom of that zero-g before the cork, but that might make the corkscrew itself a bit too forceful. This is your park though, so I"ll respect your oppinions (and you always do a magnificent job with everything...) Anyways, keep up the great work etc.
  2. Loving the coaster. I mean, jojo and a good first drop=yummy. One suggestion I have is make a small building to enclose the middle cork. THat way you spiral into and out of darkness...Makes for a cool visual aid IMO. As for names, I like Triton for that atlantic theme, but Kraken and Neptune could also work considering the color scheme.
  3. IS the guess a coaster Camden Park's Big Dipper?
  4. Grrr. I thought Red Devil was a cool name...Maybe keep something of the same nature, like Devil of the Sky? Anyways, I cant wait for the park to reopen. It sounds like a cool concept, and now there will be new stuff there aswell.
  5. Love the volcano, and the idea of a Hawiian park. Cant wait to see how this turns out =D
  6. Valentines day B-days unite! Happy Birthday, TPR. Every moment I spend here is truly glorious.
  7. KI's still says that line AFTER you get off at the second station now. Still, I wish FoF had some good ride-ops for this kind of thing. As for what I like, WT ride ops were good when I went on it (though its only been operation during 1/3 of my CP trips.) They had some good lines like "Launching in 3, 2 *launch* 1." and the whole who wants to go screamy thing. Also, I agree that StormRunner has a great sequence. The heartbeat really builds up intensity, and the "Here we go" is perfectly timed. Sadly, TTD doesnt do it for me. The rev is sweet and all, but the launch is too delayed. Sure it builds up anticipation, but just sitting there for what seems like a minute reving the engine before the countdown gets a little annoying IMO. Also, Hulk is pretty good, but you can't really hear the speil over the squel of the tire lift and the siren.
  8. So they finally came out with a compact launcher from Gerstueler. (can never spell that right) Looks pretty sweet if you ask me.
  9. Dueling Dragons, Hands down. Brilliant themeing all over the ride area, and the queu/station is no exception. I love those little details they put in like the frozen guys on the celing, and all the voiceovers/storyline stuff. Finally, that latin touch makes it look more authentic (Convocae tuum Fortunuum sign at the point where you chose your side. Roughly translates into "chose your fate" if I can still remember my latin correctly.)
  10. Post a youtube vid of it, or atleast upload some pics please. I like to see visuals in some way so I can rate them.
  11. I've never been on any true vertical coasters (just top hats on TTD and StormRunner), but I can tell ToT sounds a lot more intense than oblivion. Aside from the theming (which looks superv IMO), Tower looks like it has some interesting twists to it. First of all, like the article states this thing creeps over the edge until its already gone verticle, while you can't see anything at all. And after that finally drops, Tower curves (unlike Oblivion) while flying down a mine shaft and into the hut (as opposed to falling into a big open hole.) Much more intense, even if that's the whole ride...
  12. The layout looks completely different after the 2nd loop IMO. Batman has a lot of direction changes, and some stuff between the corkscrews. This thing just goes into a downward helix and then into the double screw before helixing back up to the brakes...
  13. Hooray repaint! I just hope they paint rails aswell, since it will otherwise be Christmas colors....
  14. Yeah. That looks about right, except I think the release said it would be ORANGE track. Could be wrong though. Oh well, I'm really pumped for FireHawk, even if it ISNT the "good" flyer. I have always wanted to ride X-Flight, and now it's moved to my homepark with a kick a$$ name. Stealth is actually slightly shorter. On Stealth, the track makes one last right turn before the final brake run. On X-Flight/FireHawk, there is a helix there. The helix is my favorite part of the ride. It gives you the "flying like a superhero" feeling. I think they were reffering to the color scheme, not the actual layout...
  15. Its a decent ride, but you need to fix the beggining. Ground hugging turns before a tophat=ouch. I love your Trigun coaster though (and bonus points for referencing Trigun in the first place =D)
  16. Yeah. That looks about right, except I think the release said it would be ORANGE track. Could be wrong though. Oh well, I'm really pumped for FireHawk, even if it ISNT the "good" flyer. I have always wanted to ride X-Flight, and now it's moved to my homepark with a kick ass name.
  17. Yeah. I need to see that posted, because I've never seen it's full layout. Plus it just owns xD
  18. Well, I'm hoping that they theme it, or give us some concept art. I want to see how the color scheme works with the area. Then again, this IS Cedar Fair. On the other hand, Maverick is living proof that CF may be attempting to look at themeing for once. Yay Firehawk!
  19. Fire Hawk sounds pretty nice, but I hope they atleast repaint it. Firehawk is to sweet of a name to waste on a misscolored theme.
  20. Wacky Worm, Boomerang, SLC, Pinfari Looper, and a TOGO stand up. The most confortrable coaster in the world =D
  21. You need some sort of MCBR or atleast trims. A stand up coaster would produce too many G's going through those corks at that speed...Otherwise, looks nice
  22. Heck. I'll go for that. I just need some plane tickets...
  23. That first pic is just beautiful *makes new desktop* Its a shame that nobody has thought to clone this style in the modern day. Schwartz's rides just have this air of beauty and brilliance to them...
  24. Thanks for putting up that site. I've been persuing a career in design myself, and thats deffinately a good first person source. How did you guys land the internship? I remember e-mailing the good people at GCI last summer about interning, but I never got anything back...
