  1. Looks pretty sweet. I'm guessing the ride will have a few airtime pops, maybe a stengle for a turn, and a figure-8/helix at the end.
  2. Borca looks awesome, but I want to see some track overviews. Also, I saw something on the first page that looked sort of like wood coaster track. I'm guessing that's train track?
  3. Well, this is one PKI fanboy/homeboy who's excitted. I dont care if it's not a brand new coaster, and I certainly never get the chance to go to GL. Even now that I finally got my liscence, my summer jobs never let me have a chance to travel. And as far as newness goes, rememver this is coming from a guy who wants them to rebuild King Cobra. Jared "Can't wait for X Flight" Becker
  4. It looks like you have less room to work with now that its on the other side. That is, unless you plan to move anything. Otherwise, you might be able to squeeze a turn in between the station and the lift, and make the first drop twist. I cant really see a turn between the lift and station realistically though.. Otherwise, looks very nice and professional. Keep up the good work!
  5. Seriously. I started out at biggs, getting about $7.50 an hour. The only reason I demoted my pay is so that I could work at an amusement park (Coney Island.) Now that I'm trying to find a good permanent career based on amusement parks, I'm pretty much screwed to support anybody...
  6. A few of the BIG aim lines went by too fast to read. Otherwise, 10/2! (Yes, it earns 500%)
  7. I'd say creative, though I apparently get along well with people according to my experience last year...
  8. Does anyone else have any oppinions?
  9. StormRunner is awesome! Its currently my 3rd favorite overall, and my favorite steel rollercoaster. Definately one of the best rides I have been on since they demolished King Cobra...
  10. I second the motion of painting every other section red. That way it looks like a giant snake, which will fit the theme of the park. (Then again, this IS Six Flags we're talking about...)
  11. I'm at a bit of a crossroads right now. I want to work at some amusement park as a permanent carreer, but I have no experience outside of being a ride-op last summer. Either way, the industry has a whole bunch of different things that I could work as (advertising, r&d, opperations, etc), but I have no clue where I fit in. Thats where you guys come in. If you could, please help me list some pros and cons of each type of job offered for working in the amusement park industry, as well as some different types of careers I can pursue by working in this field...
  12. I've been helping to plan an Ohio-CF trip for the guys down at PKICentral, so I guess getting that together is a start. Aside from that, I have but one goal this year: Maverick. Of course I'll be checking the new addittions at my home park KI, but work will probablly get in the way of any major coasting trips...
  13. I read an article in the Enquirer today that said KI will be making an announcement soon about next year's $10 million thrill ride...
  14. I got it after like...40 tries. Its more following directions then stupidity though. *stabs the light blue square in the face*
  15. One thing that you need to fix is the paths. You just have the bare minimums right now, which makes the top of your slides look ugly. Build a small path around the top of it, so it doesnt lead to nowhere. As for the slides themselves, good job so far.
  16. Uhh... I wouldnt consider H:XLC as one of the BIGGER!!! Yes its just 35ft shy of 200 but There are ones just slightly bigger and faster... TTD, Kingda Ka... PWND! But I don't quite think that's what their going for. I've never had the (dis?)pleasure of riding XL, but I think the point is it was a record breaker without substance. Then again, most speed/height based ones are (points finger at KK, SoB, TTD, and pretty much everything else). Still sad though. The first year I'm aloud to drive that far from Cincinnati, and all the parks on my Maxx pass are getting screwed
  17. As a resident of Cincinnati for 18/19 years of my life (yay college in WV), all I have to say is AMEN TO THAT! That being said, I simply can't believe that SoB is removing one of it's key elements. I realise that they still maintain the speed and height record, but the loop WAS the ride's most well known element. I'm excited about the CF takeover, but now I'm pissed off And to whoever said KI had no airtime, VORTEX!
  18. I think that they're trying to get rid of those sets because: a) USH isnt the most popular park out in California. b: Saving money somehow. But it still blows that they want to make appartments out of a movie theater.
  19. Mmmm...Upside-down, backwards verticle drop xD Well I'm syched for this thing (even though chances are slim to none that I'll ever make it ou to that place...)
  20. Tony Hawk rocks! He's been my rolemodel ever since I started boarding years ago...That being said, ADD A FRIGGEN HALF PIPE! Hawk skates vert, and they need more ramp themeing if they want to go with an extreme sport theme...
  21. My pooint (sans without all the fancy terms) exactly. There haave been quite a few proposed parks lately, and NONE of them have gotten approved or started *points finger at both of the WV proposals...*
  22. Looks sweet, but I doubt if it happens. If it does, I love how they actually use custom rollercoasters rather than generic ones.
  23. What's that white coaster in the corner of a couple of your pictures?
  24. This may be one of the human race's greatest inventions
