JZ's Ongoing Kings Island Update Thread!
Reon replied to PKI Jizzman's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Not sure where you're getting this. Have you even been on a B&M hyper? They're insanely smooth floater airtime machines. Are there any airtime machines in Kings Island right now? No. Are there any glass smooth steelies? No. SOB is ***NOTHING*** like a B&M hyper. Just because they're both over 200 feet means very, very little. If Kings Island builds a B&M hyper, it will be the best coaster in the park. I'd trade everything they have in the park now for it actually. I havent been on any B&M Hypers yet, but I've braved some of their Inverts, flyers, and stand ups. I'm actually not impressed. Vortex has some beutiful floater off the big drop, its just a bit rough. If your getting at a smooth air-filled ride, I say Intamin all the way.... Anyways, the point I'm getting at is that we'll be getting a new variation of the same thing, as opposed to a type of ride the park doesn't have yet...Plus people will still see SoB as the "biggest ride", reguardless of how crappy it is. -

I thought it was bad how many suspended and kiddie coasters we had. Now we're going for lots of hypers too? The think KI needs is VARIATION, not more of the same... -

Awww, thats where I was projecting the accellorator. I really don't see how this rumor could be true though. We already have a terrain (Beast) and a hyper thats taller (Son of Beast) I don't see why they'd want to combine the two, rather than get something the park doesnt have (IE an accellorator or floorless) -

One problem: theres no lake under Beast anymore..Unless their putting it back Either way, there goes my Diamondback theory...maybe. I'm happy either way though. I just love how their making a hyper/terrain when we already have SoB and Beast. -
1. Hershey Park -Hands down, the best park I've ever been too. GREAT selection of rides and coaster, including Farenheit for next year. As for atmosphere, nothing beats the smell of Hersheys Chocolate everywhere you walk. 2. Dollywood -There arent that many attractions, but its more of a quality vs quality case. Dolly's coasters KICK ASS!!!!!!!!! Also, its an adventure finding your way around the park, so that adds to the fun of things... 3. Cedar Point -Coaster capital blah blah blah. Its not themed at all or anything, but some of the coasters are pretty cool. I highly recommend going on Maverick...

You mean use that portion of the park? I was thinking it would go through those mostly unused backwoods and buildings in the middle of the park. -

*coughdiamondbackcough* I've actually got some followers on my Accellorator theory, so theres a chance. For those of you who havent heard it yet, heres the breakdown: *Intamin Accellorator/Maverick style *Queue/station in those (mostly)unused buildings by Montgomery Inn *Launch/brakes through backwoods *Ride section takes place over the lake. -
If it makes you feel any better WOF & KI are also getting the shaft for 2008 as well, just think though there could be something better coming for you guys in 2009.Renegade is a nice looking woodie & I'd trade ya Hurler for it if I could. I didnt even see KI in the list of properties.... Oh well, something new for for '09 works too. It supports my Diamondback theory afterall (accellorator/maverick style coaster through the empty backwoods of Rivertown and around the lake)

What about indoor parks like MoA and such? Arent they open year round? -
The random track piece for Vortex has been there all season...Beast breaks not so much. Anyways, its great to see a good KI tr months after I've moved back to Huntington for school. I miss my Vortex and now Firehawk, both of which I agree on your opinion fully. I've now been on all 3 Vekoma flyers and a S:UF, and Firehawk is my second favorite (fave being Borg) I've never been to fearfest, but maybe next year...

As much as I hate to ditch my old fave Vortex, Tenesse Tornado is pretty solid. Smooth, tall, fast, makes good use of terrain, and has plenty of airtime. Beutiful...

Well, its official. I'm finallizing my HP 2k8 trip Gimmic or not, the fact remains that this will be a unique ride that combines the success of the past: -Lift and drop: If you look in my sig, you'll notice that Mystery Mine and Maverick are my 2 favorite coasters. Need I go on? -"Inverted loop": The only good part on any S:UF, and this one will be taken after getting shot out of your seat, with some twists on the entrance/exit. -Cobra: Not a big fan of them, but hopefully it'll be smooth. -Corkscrews: I love them, especially when you get air on them. -Twister finally: mmmm, airtime. Combo'd with StormRunner, Wildcat, and the stuff I haven't hit yet (boardwalk, rollersoaker), I will DEFINATELY be making a return trip up to my favorite park soon. -

Wow. Thats the first time I saw Blue Two complete, and I must say it looks pretty sweet *shot for unintentional rhyme.* Jokes aside, I've always been amazed by Blue Flash, and have since then set my sights on making my own backyard stuff. (Un)fortunately, I have since then raised my standards to the point where my new dream is to buy a plot of land and construct a small amusement park.

*Whistles* Hmm, with that large of an area, we can probabbly rule Intamin back in. I can easily see a hyper in there, if not my theory on a verticle drop coaster. While I'd LOVE for it to be a Maverick style coaster (Thus making HP my uncontested fave park again), I dont think they'd build one of those so close to StormRunner. Is there any hard proof that it will take up the space used for Wildmouse and Tidal Wave? That Splashboat seems to be close enough to the Boardwalk to incorperate it with that section, and Wild Mouse has perfect placement as is. As for the S O, It's deffinately reffering to the color scheme. If you look closesly, the S is orange and the O is Silver. -

Maybe Avatar IS the Eurofighter. Unless the press release specifically states otherwise, Spongebob may be the retheme of Timberline or Ripsaw? I dont know since I've never had a chance to visit the park. Just my 2 cents.
