  1. Wow, I've ridden half of the US B&Ms. Pretty surprised! The Texas Trip in 2009 really padded my numbers, and Ohio seems to have a boner for them. Once I get to Cali and the NE I'll add a good number more, but none that I'm really dying to ride. Does it count that I've flown over Fury 4 times?
  2. Woah is this going to beat any of Gatekeeper's records?
  3. 38, without counting all of the Texas pre-RMC coasters, SOB, and a few others.
  4. Cincinnati guy here. I do believe I remember hearing about the sister city in China during a Cincinnati history class or something. Certainly haven't thought about it in a while! Thanks for the photos.
  5. Ayy thanks for the entertainment, boldikus. 1. What is the farthest distance you've traveled to specifically visit a theme park? Woof, it was a long trip to get to Silver Dollar City. I'd drive 14 if I had to get there again. 2. Your favorite coaster in the state you live in? Raging Bull @ Great America 3. Would you rather wait in line for a boomerang (at any park) or a VR coaster @ a Six Flags? I've had awful experiences waiting for their stupid @$$ VR coasters. Gimme the clone. 4. Have u ever been the only person in a train during a coaster ride? Yepperz 5. What is your favorite thing to do at your home park that does not involve riding something? Sneaking booze in the parking lot 6. Better time for ERT: Early morning or late night? Early Morning! Great way to start the day. 7. Name some theme park food that *sounds* gross, yet is oh-so-delicious? Porkrinds. Sounded gross, but they made em fresh at SDC and tasted great 8. Name your top three "bucketlist" coasters you have yet to ride. El Toro, Karnan, those crazy S&S launched coasters in China 9. Have you ever been E-Vac'd? Did you receive anything if you did? Cornball @ Indiana Beach. Got a free ticket! Scooby Doo blasters @ SFFT 10. What is the longest length of time you've waited for a coaster? Probably 2-3 for MF in the middle of the summer 11. Worst flat ride ever. Name it. Those inverting viking ships 12. Your favorite SWEET treat at a park that is NOT your home park. Cinnamon bread 13. Congratulations! After aggressively gambling on the Plinko game you finally won a front of the line pass. Which ride do you use it on? Maverick 14. If you could have a lifetime fast pass to ONE attraction what would it be? Outlaw Run 15. Have you ever been next to someone that puked on a coaster? Yep, on Vortex 16. Your home park is getting a new B&M and YOU get to pick what type. Do you want an invert/hyper/dive/floorless/flyer/wing/standup? All of the above is not an option. Invert with old restraints 17. Name your favorite Vekoma. Space Mountain @ Disneyland 18. What water ride delivers the most unacceptable amount of wetness? Splash Battles 19. If you were able to help design a coaster would you want it to focus on airtime or inversions/positive G's? Airtime. Let's build a hill with the longest sustained airtime. 20. Most comfortable trains/seats for a coaster are... Those open air Intamin gig trains ex: Millennium 21. Choose one: Unlimited front-of-the-line access to your favorite coaster at your home park for one season OR $1,000 cash? Must be the monay 22. You just got drowned by a flume/rapids/chute-the-chutes. Do you pay the $$ for the dryer machine or do you continue on with your day trudging around like soggy dog? Soggy doggy 23. What is the worst food you've had at your home park? Soggy fries 24. You're at Cedar Point. You have a one hour ERT session on ONE coaster of your choice. You choose... Millennium 25. Favorite (non-clone) dark ride? OG Phantom Manor @ KI Or....Extraterrestrial Alien Encounter 26. What was your favorite park you visited in 2016? Cedar Point 27. What's your current credit count? Don't be shy. Ehhhhhh 150? I don't keep track anymore 28. Winner winner chicken dinner! You just won a trip with hotel and airfare included. The catch is its only good for Six Flags America or Mt Olympus. Which do you choose? TAKE ME TO THE MOUNTAIN. Running kids off the go cart track while the employee is huffing gasoline? One of the most fun moments I've had at a park haha. 29. What is the best Intamin coaster you have ridden? Maverick. 30. Your home park has to remove one coaster and one flat for an expansion. Which two rides would you be OK with losing? The shitty old HUSS top Spin and Superman 31. Song/music you've heard playing at a park that absolutely has not business being played in a theme park? I included this question because while at Cedar Point, they were playing the 3 Days Grace song about suicide haha. It was sooooo out of place. 32. There's 5 minutes before the park closes. You choose to: Reride your favorite coaster in the park, OR get the new kiddie/junior coaster credit? F*ck the credit count 33. Do you visit the waterpark if it's connected to the amusement park? If I have enough time! 34. What 2017 addition are you most looking forward to? Check out the China 2017 thread 35. What was the most disappointing addition to your home park in the past 10 years? Kings Island - Firehawk Great America - their crappy inner facing frisbee 36. The most overrated coaster ever is... Magnum XL 200 37. What ride makes you wanna vomit? Backwards Batman 38. What is the best consolation prize you've won at a games booth? Fuzzy handcuffs @ Indiana Beach haha 39. And the worst? Tootsie rolls 40. End this questionnaire by posting a picture of your favorite light package (coaster/flat).
  6. Harping on a couple of things others have stated about MF: -The lighting package and structure is simply beautiful -The ride is just so fast and never seems to slow down -Everyone is so hyped from the moment they walk into the station and still glowing as they leave the ride -Great sustained floater, especially during those hot summer days -Back seat: the whip around the overbanked turns The front seat is like nothing else. Seeing that blue track disappearing at light speed in front of you is crazy and the views are stellar. Also geek out at all the details on the cable lift. Those Intamin trains + t-bars are the most comfortable trains, they're so open, and I guess due to the rarity of them, they just give me a special feeling. You're able to lean forward, look backward, over the side towards the lake, the other side towards the park, go crazy when you fly by the queue line, etc. ...but I will always favor Maverick
  7. Depends on how much it rattles (get triggered). I'll be curious to see how well the surrounding area fills in once the weather changes. Right now it doesn't seems to "out in the woods" to me. We shall see.
  8. I believe you're mentioning "Raging Bull"? Damn right he is. I'll back it up and spell it out. Raging Bull's first drop is better than Goliath's (and most other coasters).
  9. Excellent report. You really put us in your shoes! I just got my passport renewed and my interest in visiting Japan has never been higher. Hope take a trip soon and I'll definitely put a star on this thread for advice. Thanks!
  10. Magnum was broken down a full 2 of the 3 days I was there, and maybe open for an hour or two on the last day. The views are great, I love the sound of the lift, but the seat belt trick failed me as the heavy restraint was in my lap and ready to beat my ass on the return trip. I couldn't convince my friends to give it a second try. Honestly, I think it was the only 'big' coaster we only did once.
  11. A bunch of KD fanboys claiming how King's Island stole Mystic Timbers from them And we'll take more from them. They took our Tomb Raider. Next KD fan that complains about anything gets blue soft serve down their pants.
  12. I greatly enjoy their Chillwave. Ha! I was just looking for Chillwave at Binny's. They didn't have it. Seriously one of the best double IPA's I've had so far. If you're a fan of double IPA's or hops, definitely look out for it.
  13. There's honestly a very good chance that this rumor is a complete load of crap so I wouldn't worry too much. Big fan of V2. Bigger fan of the flumes. I'd be pretty sad if either one was taken down for more Gotham stuff. Not sure what they'd use the V2 space for; it's not much...which is why I think this is just a stupid Screamscape rumor. Wait, I guess you could put one of those premier launch coasters in that space. Sure, what the hell. Let's trade V2 for one of those haha.
  14. I didn't read through every page, but I'm shocked to not see: Raven, Holiday World Every single ride on Raven has ended in a ridiculously hard stop. I know it comes flying into the brake run, but dear lord... Vortex, Kings Island will bring you to a complete stop when there's a train on the block right behind the station and it's pretty awful. Usually this doesn't happen due to good operations, but every now and then it happens and it's really really hard not to bump the back of your head.
  15. I was wondering why the name of the park sounded familiar.. The knock off Space Mountain haha! Thanks for posting.
  16. Happy Friday to me, I missed the Montréal part of this report! Reading this on the L is perfect since the subtle smell of piss and grease makes this a multisensory read. I'll just stop off in Wrigleyville for the Jersey Shore part and it'll be as if I'm right in the action. Never seen a foot earing before, that's effing hilarious! I've always thought the CCI @ the piers looked great, can't wait to read the rest of this report.
  17. Of the three, I think the time traveler theme is random due to the heavy Rome themeing on the ride. There are tons of different periods/places to travel to that would fit the realm of SDC. Prozach's comment about Cobras Curse seems to be consistent with the reviews: "Fun ride, but not something I'd want to jump back in line for/wait 45+min" Which, IMO, would be a ride that doesn't fit in at SDC to me - TNT, Wildfire, Outlaw, Powder Keg leave me wanting to get right back in line, and I'd be totally fine waiting 45 min. Each coaster is pretty effing good. If they do move forward with the Rome idea I'm sure it'll be done nicely. The idea just seems like a park for BGE or Europa Park.
  18. Honestly never have heard any stories about Kings Island. ...even though RL Stine wrote that odd story about the Beast, haha. I have done plenty of lock out walk backs in to woods by Diamondback's MCBR and on, and let me tell you..the only thing truly frightening out there are skunks. Never got sprayed, but came close to that tuxedoed devil a couple times.
  19. There's probably a lonngggg list of quality members that would have rather been on that trip. I don't really understand how someone can write a sterling review, commend and compliment up and down then...try to recall every detail as the opposite? Not really going to spend any more time trying to figure that one out. It's unforgivable, indecent, and the lowest cheap shot to attack someone's child. FFS. Disgusting. I've been on this forum for a long time and seen people drop off, but from what I've seen/heard it boils down to something extremely trivial that they didn't like/were let down on. And they dwell on it for sometime and each time they talk about it becomes a more and more exaggerated story. That seems to be the common theme when looking from the outside in. TPR was once a niche group, but even though it's gotten bigger and adapted with the times I believe the core of this site is still there. Theme parks, roller coasters, & donkeys. Have some sense of humor, don't get offended when someone says "your favorite ride doesn't have ejector air, it's floater", and don't read a post and try to imagine someone's tone of voice with it.
  20. Got it. The thing we haven't guessed yet: Vekoma is on a hot streak. It's a GCI/Vekoma cross over - first wooden coaster with a ......tilt track. Mic drop.
  21. Is there even that much space for a barrel roll? Doesn't seem like it at all. Harnesses. You want to try doing a slow barrel roll with a GCI lapbar? I just don't see it happening at all.
  22. No i did not pervert, i drew the layout. Stop being so dirt minded and get a little innocence. Hi, I am not a pervert, and it was a joke . I meant it to be taken light heatedly but I understand it could offend you. I did say after that it would be really cool if a dynamic coaster like this was made and agreed with your design. What would be good to see is it being low terrain through the woods, straight after the big drop. You might want to google what a cock looks like because Maddox's idea didn't resemble anything close to one. Welcome back, Henry M. The giga @ KI has been going on ever since King Cobra was announced to be removed. So what, that's like...2002? Who knows if it will ever happen. Every. Single. Time. there's a new coaster in the works it's a default to "Yeah I've got some inside knowledge and it's for sure a giga.". Although the latest speculation has turned to RMC just because RMC is the new hotness. I do believe that area behind Racer/Firehawk etc is the perfect area for a speed oriented terrain coaster. I know we're getting it now in a different shape with Mystic, but that area does have some nice elevation change and surrounding environment.
  23. Superman Krypton @ Fiesta Texas. I was pretty disappointed with Rougarou. I wasn't expecting a dramatic change in the ride experience, but honestly it's pretty forgettable with all of the competition at CP.
  24. Congratulations, you played yourself. You're riding the coaster for the wrong reasons. Don't go into any mine train expecting airtime/straight drops. It's all about ride length and laterals. But since you're someone sheltered at SF Great America, I guess I can forgive you?
  25. WT is the only coaster at CP that I've been able to get re-rides on virtually every time. Love that ride.
