So you harass me in another forum when I say that Afterburn is underappreciated (in reference to it not having a line), but then you call Phantom's Revenge underrated when it is sprinkled pretty heavily through out lists here and is generally rated pretty highly. I see how it is. +1 for Afterburn being underrated/appreciated. Can't wait for many o re-rides in a few weeks. The whole hyper style vs coasters over 200ft is really throwing me off. Here are the hyper style coasters I've been on: 1)I like Diamondback, Goliath, and Raging Bull equally, but for different reasons. They're all super comfy and re-ridable with great airtime. 2)Phantom. Only got one ride and it was pretty great. Wish I could have appreciated it more. Damn 1 train ops around 4th of July... 3)Steel Eel. This ride kicked my ass! 4)Titan. That sustained airtime hill is pretty cool. Outside of the crazy helices, it's a pretty tame ride. 5)Magnum. I don't like how this ride kicks my ass. I still like it enough to ride it a couple times each visit though. Still looking to perfect the way to ride it..

Fair warning, it's only going to be in the low to mid 50's this weekend. Not much of a trade off.

If you throw out a couple options after searching on booking.com or hotels.com we can give you advice. I don't think you'd be able to find an unsafe area around KI. Didn't get to the park, but I think everyone should know about.... The longest escalators in the Western hemisphere! They're off the Wheaton Red Line stop and yeah, comically long. If you're in the area check em out.

Same here. I enjoy following the youtube channel to see when new videos are posted, but I'm exclusively watching either on my phone or tablet. I'm rarely on my laptop at home and if I post from a desktop, it's at work during free time. Even with digital downloads I struggle to balance my want for the item vs the large amount of space that it will take up on my device.

Whatever floats your coaster credit dick-boat. Standing up or sitting down it's just an alright ride, and personally I don't think it made much of a difference. People are stepping off of Patriot on the West coast and saying there's a huuuuge difference. For Mantis/Roug, the change didn't seem to affect how many people line up for it.

Thanks for the awesome feedback! We ARE still doing West Coast Bash! That is totally in the plans! This year is a little more tricky because the dates we normally do WCB we are going to be in Germany for Oktoberfest. So we hope we can make it work. But yes, WCB is still 100% on! if you got an email about trips, well that's because you're special! And just keep that to yourself! This is a great reminder to update my email attached to TPR.

Great report! The park looks really cool. People selling knock offs in park and outside of the park? Damn you just can't make that up! I hope Disney continues to improve efforts to match Orlando/Cali's magic.

I really hope the next ploy is "The world's scariest tallest/fastest non-vr drop ride on the planet." Yeah, spiders are creepy. Isn't being 400+ft up on a swaying tower scarier?!

Can't wait 'till it opens so I can nominate it for a Photoshop battle on reddit. The scale is so tiny, this is such a weird theme for what seems to be a family ride.

I'd recommend enjoying the whole day at Kennywood. I don't think it's a park I'd want anyone to rush through. That being said, I think you could rush through it if you just want to grab the credits and go. But fair warning, you might fall in love with the place while you're there.

Thanks for the tips! I'll keep that in mind going into next week and plan on Sunday. Good to know Saturday is not a big difference in case I am forced to go Saturday.

Shoot, their new swing isn't even put together yet? I haven't had a chance to ride one of those..oh well. I'll be in town next weekend - I'm assuming it's a better idea to visit on Sunday the 30th vs Saturday the 29th, right? Or are weekend crowds the same on both days?

Beast, Diamondback, Banshee, and Bat are all excellent night rides and now you throw Timbers into the mix. I'll have to pick a midnight closing and get a fast lane to hit em all.

New rapids ride in the US? Amazing. Tallest drop? Oh eff yeah. This is a pretty fantastic 1-2 punch for SWO over the past two years. As an out of state guy, this park has taken a pretty solid leap on my "parks to visit" list.

Love all the new york pictures - especially top of the rock since I was too early to go up. Rooftop bar was one thing I missed.. I did Scott's tour because of TPR!

I will always cherish my time in the Istanbul airport going to and from Cairo. Great people, coffee, and conversation. Petra...just...gah. I'd probably shed a few tears upon seeing it.
