I'm determined to get 10 more effing Magicarp candies to evolve it into Gyrados. Then I'm done, haha. After you get to level 22+, the came is just a chore. I'll come back when you're able to trade or when they release the next 150+ batch of new Pokemon from Gold and Silver. It would be cool to have "seasons" and re-set everyone to 0 at the start of a 2016 winter or 2017 spring season. You have to be insane to have the desire to earn 1M+ XP to get to a new level which gives you nothing other than a new number next to your name.

Yeah, and it's miles better than 99% of the other Arrows out there. The first drop kicks your @$$ out of the seat and honestly the inversions are pretty smooth. Even with the VR last night (in the back seat) I didn't get beat up. I hope this coaster never changes. Gargoyles was okay. We got passes for the 7-8 time slot, arrived around 7 and didn't ride until after 8. Dispatches were 7-8 minutes apart despite announcing "We have 5 minutes to dispatch this train". The worst part of this is that if they couldn't get guests to cooperate to get the VR working, they would have the guests wait at the exit and try a second time to get them a VR ride. It's very easy to get the VR working. Put the headset on. Tighten to fit. Look forward up/down a bit to calibrate. Done. Well, with the quality of guests at Six Flags there were so many people that couldn't figure it out the ops eventually paused the regular line so a *whole train* of re-rides could go. Thankfully this was just after my ride, but people in line were getting very upset. If I had known it was an hour + wait I wouldn't have done it. Is this a cool idea? Sure. Is thisa positive experience for guests? Overwhelmingly NO. I almost forgot about the crowds of unruly guests who got angry that they didn't read the signs about requiring a reservation to ride. Maybe it's just this park. Everything else was great, though. 70* in October on a sunny/cloudy day made for a great visit. Everything in this park is so re-ridable. Goliath, Bull, V2, Eagle, X-Flight, Batman, Viper, Giant Drop are all great rides.

Great review and glad to see these style of "haunts" succeeding/getting solid reviews from experienced visitors. Chicago had a similar experience last year, but the small theater struggled (I was the only one during my time slot last year) and couldn't continue this year. Mega bummer. Hope we see more of these in the future!

[POLL] RMC Mean Streak 2017 or 2018?PKI Jizzman replied to LeoBruz199's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys! Does that....seem professional? I'd say no.

Kings Island (KI) Discussion ThreadPKI Jizzman replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys! Honestly I wrote this ride off as a basic b*tch but it looks to be pretty solid. Still gotta ride it next year to get a real idea but it looks better than protected

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion ThreadPKI Jizzman replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys! Remember how Melt and CP were tweeting back and forth? Kings Island has put in a local chain, Tom + Chee for the rest of the season to see how it does. Anyone seen a local restaurant or food pop up at CP? Maybe they will try this out chain wide. Can only hope they do so to help get their food game on track. Seems like a no brainer.

Photo TR - Philly-area HauntsPKI Jizzman replied to KBrylczyk's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys! Field of Screams sounds fantastic. Kings Island has always done "Cornstalkers" and it's been halfassed every year; shockingly in Ohio I haven't been able to find a cornfield haunt. Thanks for the write up! This time of year always has me looking to read haunt reviews.

Photo TR: Virgin Visit to VirginiaPKI Jizzman replied to boldikus's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys! Great finale on a trip that I've always wanted to do! After riding Valravn, Griffon and Sheikra are very alluring.. That skyride looks to be one of the best, meandering over the woods and river. Bill, it is the best? Boldikus, great photos too especially the overexposed Griffon shot. Reallt cool! Love your writing style and glad you found your way into TPR! Always a quality story/report. Also, Kings Island will let you take your beers anywhere in the park. -Zach

No. This ride is actually good. Seriously, these rides are insane. They're smooth, the flipping is ridiculous, they don't feel slow at all and they're incredibly disorienting. I absolutely love Joker at Great Adventure. I went in with minimal expectations, I was totally prepared for the ride to suck and I absolutely love the thing. They're outstanding rides, I think a lot of people are going to be pleasantly surprised, I'm excited to have this at my home park. Adds to an already diverse line up. This type of ride seems like you need to ride it 5+ times to really get a feel for it which I like! Similarly, I had to ride Goliath a couple times to really appreciate it since it's a fast paced intense ride.

Kings Island (KI) Discussion ThreadPKI Jizzman replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys! Looks like there's one on Mason Montgomery not far from the park. They're all over Cincinnati. They make everything in Norwood right next to Xavier University and the UDFs by the HQ had great ice cream and shakes. Greaters and the French pot way they make their ice cream is great, but I've never been in love.

B&M Restraints: Old vs. NewPKI Jizzman replied to DBru's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys! Totally noticed that on Raptor and Batman and had forgotten about it, but the cons of the new restraints overweigh the pros IMO. I agree with everything Chickenbowl had said. I haven't been on Sheikra or Griffon, but I wasn't let down as much I thought I'd be by the vests on Valravn. Still had some wiggle room on the first droo, but yeah I bet it's nothing like the other two.

Kings Island (KI) Discussion ThreadPKI Jizzman replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys! Enjoy it! I'd totally say hey if I was still in Cincy. Make sure to get some Skyline Chili and some Blue ice cream! Diamondback in row 2 FTW. Bonus points for at night. The fog creates tunnels in the woods and it's pretty epic. I'd start them off with Madam Fatale's (in the Crypt) indoor haunt since I found it not to be very scary, but more so impressively detailed. It's not too long either. It's not very bloody/gorey from what I remember either, which could be a good introduction compared to the Slaghterhouse/Board to Death mazes that are pretty intense. They have Graeters and you are telling people to eat the blue stuff? And you won't like what I have to say about the chili... I'm a UDF chocolate chip cookie dough kinda guy.

After reading this thread I'm going to need 7-10M worth of alcohol between now and the time this thing actually opens in 2018. It's okay, you have friends to help. #sharingiscaring Not at all related to the current discussion of 2017 v 2018, and every other poster talking about how they are leaving the thread after finding it in its current state... but I went to see Randy and Mr. Lahey live this year. Recommended for any fans of Trailer Park Boys. Sorry for the double post - reading top down. Dude I'm seeing them Friday in Chicago hahaha

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion ThreadPKI Jizzman replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys! So true. I rode Valravn in front and back, then rode TTD about a dozen times along with MF. It's simply surreal when Dragster has only a 4 train wait.

Energylandia Park Discussion ThreadPKI Jizzman replied to BDG's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys! Both rides will be the color blue and honestly no GP will look for a trademark on the train and say, "Heyyyy...the tricked us! It's Vekoma!" More like, "OMG I voted for the blue ride and they built it! Awesome!"

Over The Shoulder Restraints. (OTSRs)PKI Jizzman replied to Movieguy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys! With the old Intamin OTSR's on Maverick the top part never touched my upper body, only the lap bar part. This is one of the reasons why I never had an issue with them since they didn't feel like a typical OTSR. Honestly with those old restraints, it felt like you rode Maverick with simply a lap bar.

Photo TR: Virgin Visit to VirginiaPKI Jizzman replied to boldikus's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys! Great start! Can't wait to see how you enjoyed the coasters. KD has been on my bucket list, too since it's bizarro world Kings Island. Too bad it's always been 9+ hours away from me!

What are your TOP TEN COASTERSPKI Jizzman replied to ddaver177's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys! How do you feel about the first drop? For an invert, I think it's pretty solid. The overall ride is not as enjoyable/exciting as Raptor, Afterburn, or even Batman IMO. I rode it a good amount when KI was still my home park, and it's not the most consistent coaster. Bleh, the restraints. There were days you could ride it over and over again thanks to the impressive capacity, although it's a double edged sword since the more you ride it, the more the restraints wear your shoulders/neck down. ^And yeah, defrocker, it's in the bottom of the barrel when it comes to standard B&M smoothness. Shocking KI's B&M's are fabricated 30 minutes away yet are far from the smoothest.

Kings Island (KI) Discussion ThreadPKI Jizzman replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys! Forreal though, the quality of that picture is awful and you can't zoom in close enough to pick out any letters or numbers on the truck. Also, do people think they drive a maintenance truck all over the USA to attend meetings/present? I highly doubt they use that truck and not a regular car/SUV.
