  1. Great report! Look forward to reading more. How did you like Mystery Mine and Eagle?
  2. Anyone else surprised that the ride will close in early 2017 and reopen in summer 2017? Seems like a tight window convert it from ToT to GOTG. I loved Guardians, so I'm excited to see how this project turns out. The ride itself is already fantastic, so I'm sure it will be a real winner. It is pretty surreal that Disney is moving forward with this decision! A Marvel themed area is going to be a huge win for the park, and I can't wait to visit when it's complete.
  3. I give the 2nd lift hill a break since the ride has a great start with the S turn out of the station and drop into the tunnel. It's a pretty intense ride in the front seat! Strong laterals. Still WEIRD to not see SOB there. Most of the area where it was is grown over now. Thanks everyone! -Zach
  4. I've never had to aggressively fight a ride, haha. The transitions are just awful. Also, I command any new visitor to get either blue ice cream or Banshee ice cream. AE has never changed. I guess I'm a sucker for coasters that don't turn straight to the lift hill. Always catches me off guard that it drops out of the station right into some serious laterals
  5. I don't think we have to worry about the flume. I'm hearing there will be no broken records and it will be a wooden coaster that crosses over White Water Canyon 6 times. Believe me or don't. Idgaf. Shout out to Zach [pro] Scorecard for 11am-5pm Banshee - 10 min wait, 3 rides. Front is smooth, back.. not so much yikes. Great forceful ride. Love the pickup after the zero G. And that whip over the first drop in the back seat always catches me off guard. Gosh, just wish it had regular restraints. Hate those vests that are so tight. It's not comfortable to re_ride. Bat - One ride, love it. Drop Tower. 20 min wait and so worth it for sweet sweet sustained airtime Adv Express - If you don't love this mine train, then you don't have a sense of humor or adventure Racer - Fun out and back with some surprising airtime in the front seat Windseaker - Just, nice break. Beast - 20 minute for the front. You know what, it was fantastic during the day. Diamondback- 15 minute, 4 rides. Love this ride. Back seat has great pull over the hills and front has great push up and over. Row 2 is fantastic. Vortex - This ride is outdated and brutal. Even in 7-1, so don't come after me, Arrow fanboys. The ride has lived a good life, it's time to end it. The crowd shied away when I got close... BUT NO ONE IS SAFE. GOT EEEEEM My baby. I know the real deets on the 2017 proj. GOT EEEEM AGAIN
  6. The Bat pooped on me and it's not coming off (I think it's from the restraint) Banshee has a 5 minute wait, currently. Pretty wicked ride as usual. Really tough to pick which I like better - front or back. Also, they're loading the train in 15 seconds.
  7. Make sure you have health insurance, plan for retirement, get real serious about keeping kids off your lawn, maybe layoff the sugar, stop caring about memes.
  8. I'll miss the announcement by a week. I'll see if I can find any more clues tomorrow at the park..
  9. I'll buy you a datdamn blue ice cream cone. Oh wait, KI isn't my home park anymore... guess you're on your own
  10. I agree with everything you said about Kennywood - from Black Widow, to Jackrabbit, all across the board. It's a great park and I love to talk to the quality of their rides whenever I get the chance. Glad you enjoyed KI as well! The Bat is one of my favorite rides at night since it's tucked away in the ravine it gets pretty dark, and like the Beast it feels like it's going much faster than it actually is. Did you get any blue ice cream? Did you sit in the first car on Diamondback? I prefer row 2 to the back seats -Zach
  11. Okay, I'll play. Maverick + Millennium Force Shockwave + New Texas Giant Outlaw Run + TNT/Wildfire/Powder Keg [honestly can't pick which I like best from those 3] Phantom's Revenge + Jackrabbit
  12. I will be returning to the Island on Thursday. Expect uneducated 2017 guesses, a lot of whining, complaints about parking fees, a little bit of local beer, Skyline chili, and trash can reviews. Maybe a pointing shout out for the other Zach -Zach
  13. It's been speculated that the wood + beams are for a retaining wall. They're not for coaster track.
  14. I don't think I've ever seen a local asking for advice for their home park. Uhhh follow the rules of hitting the low capacity coasters and be like Bam Margera and do whatever the eff you want. You'll fit in nicely with the other teenagers.
  15. Great report! I hope to make it out there soon, so I appreciate the in park and out of park tips.
  16. Anyone know of CP hotel discount codes to use when booking on the website?
  17. I'd say for most adults it costs far more to take 2+ days off work during the week rather than spending a weekend there and buy a FP for 100 bucks. But yes, if you can make it there during May or August, it's pretty surreal how dead it is. Personally, I like it when parks are full and lively.
  18. This is an asinine ask. The anxiety in the thread over this coaster is off the charts. If anyone is this concerned about how the coaster is running on a daily basis, just save yourself the grey hairs and wait until next year.
  19. Why aren't we talking more about the Drunken Donkey Patio at the Thirsty Pony more often? Sandusky's finest
  20. I second this and what..it was like 7 or 8 bucks and it took 5 people to finish it haha.
  21. Get Fashpass, ride Bull, Demon, and Goliath in the back seat!
  22. Interesting. I checked out the Clark Reder Engineering website and they don't have any history with RMC or GCI listed. Does this new info tell us anymore about which company is behind this project?
  23. It's legit... KI retweeted something very similar. Alright, cool! It would be too easy to buy a toy ax at the store and print off a little card to go with it. Thanks for the link.
  24. This could easily be fan-made to mess with everyone, but take it for what it's worth. From @AndrewSetters on Twitter. There's also news/media posting about #KIProject2017 today, so they might have been sent this little press kit.
  25. I'm assuming you've read the last few pages of up/down/up/down. Www.dollywood.com It says it's closed, so I'd wait until the ride is stated to be open.
