Season Pass Processing center is open the same hours as Winterfest, yay! I'm taking advantage of the free visit I get with the 2018 Plat Pass. Single Rider lane is in place of the Fast Lane for Mystic Timbers and most reports said 30-60 minutes for Mystic Timbers after the first hour. Hoping when I go while they're open during the week I can get a handful of rides before it gets too busy.

Before you post again, you should use Google Maps and use the + destination feature to make a web/route of where you want to go to see how long the distances are. It'll even show you traffic conditions that may make a drive longer. That's what I use when I'm looking at driving options and it should help you figure out a realistic driving path before getting into park research. https://maps.google.com

Another great chapter! Too bad Vampire isn't as good as it should be. Such a unique ride but it never seemed like it could hold a candle to Bat/Top Gun/Vortex.

In past years it seemed like there was a pretty big focus on the outdoor section where there's even more room to set up displays. Not the case this year?

Oh no not picking on your post at all. I thought it was funny that they're running Boo Blasters as is and yeah, they've got FoF right there that ...seems? like it could be open, right? No use wasting energy over trying to figure out if it's a staffing thing, demographic thing, or what it. I know it's the first Winterfest in _____ years, but I believe this event could be a lot more fun than it looks on paper.

Yep. I'm going to pick a day to get there at 5, ride MT at opening and head out If the line doesn't get too long I'd love to ride it again, but there's nothing else they have to offer to keep me around. If they had a couple coasters open, I'm sure I'd have no problem getting a couple friends together and enjoying the park for a few hours. I can't be aligned with thinking that they're keeping Flight of Fear closed due to the theme of the ride if they're going to have Boo Blasters on Boo Hill open.

Great report, I love reading your Hershey Park trip reports. The coaster line up is unreal. Good to see you can have a great time even on a shitpacked Saturday.

I'm surprised that rectangle cart is able to dip down and pull up so quickly to get into the loop. Anyone else notice little flecks of stuff coming off the track/car at :36?

You're answering your own question. Check out Yelp or Tripadvisor and use the map feature to find something you want. Easy peasy.

I'm really happy to see glowing reviews from the park this year, since this was the first year living in Chicago I did not buy a pass due to subpar visits every other time in 2015/2016. Anti-jinx??? JB's is really solid and their Long Island "Goliath" drink that comes with tapioca style mango juice balls is delicious and intoxicating.

How beautiful would the boardwalk look with sister Von Roll sky ride on the boardwalk that could take you from Gatekeeper down to Magnum's pretzel turn around..
