1. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] Everyone could use a Sven. "Come ride Sven at America's rocks and rolls coast!"
2. No way, haha! I had to go to twitter to see it myself. Wow, out of all of the annoying nick names I thought SteVe/SteVen is on the less offensive side. Tony seein' em and callin' em out!
3. ... so that's what this was about? Thanks for doing the dirty work, CB
4. Surprised about the lack of Winter Chill out talk/hype. Tickets sold out in a record time and it's in 3 weeks. I wonder what new things we'll see since the track has been complete for some time now.
5. Haha yeah we're all salty about that and Marvin for another 2 years and not tr...yeah wrong thread for this.
6. Guess what binch!!! This is a photo from the very real NFL draft. The real one

How many times did you visit your home park in 2017? After many shitty visits to SF Great America, I did not buy a pass in 2017 - Zero visits. 6. What was the first RMC you rode? Goliath at SFGAm 7. You know what I'm just going to say Shamu's Express out of spite. 40. End your post with an aerial shot of one of your top 5 coasters. LOVE! Credit: HLN
8. Joey I just got off the phone with Noah and he needs lots of help getting the animals on the Ark. He doesn't believe in cars so he figures if you walk you'll get there around summer time, so you should definitely plan at trip to Kennywood when the weather is nicer. Maybe throw in a Pirates game, some Argentinian food, and some gastropubs.
9. Behold... Fahrenheit and Storm Runner. New just last season. Edit: ^ Beat me to it. Pictures trump timing. lol thanks B and CB.
10. I believe I'll only have 1 day for my visit, so this is huge since HP has a large coaster collection. Side question that popped up after browsing their site - does Fahrenheit have the new Intamin restraints? Like the ones on Maverick.
11. Oh my god my first visit to HP is going to be unreal. I'll calling CNN to put this headline up ASAP.
12. That's horrible but great but mostly horrible. But also great. Never enough timbers and hawks in the family!
13. Great show, loved the variety of talk from pizza (shout out Scott's!) to Universal, to Disney all past present and future! The Slinky coaster keeps slipping my mind and so does the DK cart coaster idea. Great insight on Flight of Passage, too - you really painted a picture for what goes on in the ride and explain how it's different than a stereotypical screen based attraction.
14. The Knott's Hotel has a free shuttle to Disneyland, so it won't cost you anything if you ride their shuttle to Downtown Disney. Which is even better to hear since I'm trying to squeeze in half a day at Disneyland now since I likely won't need much time at Knott's. Porto's looks heavenly! Potato balls, meat pies, cheese rolls... if I have time I'll check it out - maybe one the way out to the JTree. Thanks!
15. Shockingly the line was the shortest of any ride during my visit - Phantom was nearly an hour long! Pretty sure its layout is the same as any of those weird circular car wild mouse coasters at the fair, but like others said it's in a box and it's DARK. You couldn't see sh*t and the dips the ride takes really get you off guard. We were all crying laughing when we got back to the station.
16. Whew. 90 minutes! Was that due to one train or is that normal for a random Friday?
17. Great report! I feel like I'm at Liseberg right now
18. The real question is how jealous are you going to be when I'm on the first train of the year in the new seats it's pretty much equal to being the first rider opening year who cares about credits it's about the first train of the day and the last train of the day
19. They did it just to upset you specifically.
20. Great refresh for the nearly decade old ride. It's one of the most popular attractions at the park, it deserves to look good!
21. Gah, I miss Kennywood. Exterminator is still one of my most memorable coaster rides. Went in not knowing what was going to happen and it was absolute hilarity and insanity! Oh Black Widow, Jack Rabbit, and Phantom are pretty good too..
22. Brilliant, that sounds awesome. The whole fastpass program has changed a bit since I've last stepped on a Disney property, so thanks for letting me know about Maxpass. That's a really good deal for $10. Excitement growing There have been some slight changes... Maxpass brought new attractions to the Fastpass System, like Matterhorn and Toy Story Mania. As well, you no longer scan the Fastpass Ticket (if you get one. If you use the app, there is no ticket). The Fastpasses are now tied to your Park Admission ticket. So, when you go to redeem your Fastpass at any attraction, you will either scan the barcode in the App, or the barcode on your ticket (it's the same barcode). Maxpass ALSO allows you to view and download ALL PHOTOS taken by On ride Cameras and Photopass Cast Members. You either scan your Admission ticket with the Photopass Cast member, or enter the photo number in the Disneyland App and it will pull up! Sometime, if you use Fastpass, this magically happens! This is included in the cost of the Max Pass purchase! I'd suggest that you download the App, and create a Disney account if you don't already have one, before you go So you can look at everything and get the feel for it. Add in your payment info, so buying tickets with Max Pass is easier (no going to the ticket booth!). It helps streamline everything. You can buy everything ahead of time, through the app. I suggest you do this at least 24 hours in advance or more just to make sure everything is correct and updated when you go to enter the park. Through the app, you can select different types of tickets. What you're going to need is the Park Hopper Ticket with Max Pass ($184.00). And, if youre doing this ahead of time, it will all 'Just work' on the day you arrive! FINALLY, Fantasmic (new version) and World of Color both use Fastpass to see the shows in any area that is worth it. These are currently not available in Maxpass, so just go to the area on the maps to get the ticket. Side Note: The VOID - Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire just opened at Downtown Disney and its a ton of fun. Its a fully immersive VR experience, and takes about 30-ish minutes. I loved it, and can't wait to experience it again! Here is the TPR Review from Robb from the Florida one: Clicky They are the exact same. If you find that you might have time, I highly suggest you give this a try! Right, as I get closer to the date I'll download the app to be comfortable with it because I want to take advantage of the time I'll have at the parks (assuming it's 3 or 4pm to close). All the details about it make sense for a better experience. I don't know how this will work with my ticket since I'll be getting it through a media vendor, not actually purchasing one - but when I get the two I'll be able to figure it out and troubleshoot if I have any issues! I appreciate the suggestions but I don't believe I'll have time to go to shows or the Star Wars VR; I've seen the shows in the past and I'm not much of a theme park 'show' guy Star Wars looks cool but I'm not a big Star Wars guy and it's just not in the cards this time around. With only half a day I'll be trying to hit up all of my favorite attractions and it will be a bonus if I'm able to get re-rides or leisurely walk from ride to ride
23. Brilliant, that sounds awesome. The whole fastpass program has changed a bit since I've last stepped on a Disney property, so thanks for letting me know about Maxpass. That's a really good deal for $10. Excitement growing
24. This is definitely a stretch, but I think this can work. I have one day in LA to do all the theme park things I want. Originally, I planned on only going to Knott's all day Friday 2/16, BUT.. ...I didn't realize Disneyland was only a 15 minute Uber away. Nor did I realize DL is open until midnight and DCA is open until 11pm. Knott's is only open until 8pm. With Xcelerator not showing any signs of life (I doubt it will be open in 3 weeks), I'm teasing the idea of getting the rides I want at Knott's (Silver Bullet, GhostRider, Log Ride, Montezuma, a few others) and heading over to Disneyland/DCA. I spent 4 days in DL/CA in 2008, so I've been on all the rides minus Cars and Guardians, if you're counting that as a brand new experience. If I was able to get over to DL/CA by 3 or 4pm, would that give me enough time to ride Guardians/Cars and Space Mountain/Indiana Jones? It's the Friday of a holiday weekend (President's day), so I expect it will be busier than usual but I have no idea how long the lines for those rides on a regular Friday. Does this seem doable? Thanks!
