I'd normally say Portillo's, but you're living in Chicago right? so i'd guess that's not too exciting. lol Portillo's is delicious but yeah, I work right around the corner from one so that's not a place I'd want to spend my previous LA time at haha. I encourage everyone who has not been to Portillo's to go try their Italian beef.

My comment was if you're going to install this in a park that already has a JL ride, I hope the Fairy World would match the quality of effort in themeing. There was no mention of branded content, seems like this might be something they'd venture off on by themselves. Why not re-fresh the idea of Monster Mansion or the SFOT Looney Toons boat ride? Those are great stand out dark rides that everyone loves.

I saw a response the park made to someone on Instagram that said, "No date [for re-open] has been announced yet." They've been spamming that response to every question on Facebook, Twitter, etc. The only thing they're confirming is that it's not being torn down since a lot of the GP are asking "So it's being closed forever?!" when they get the response of "No date to re-open yet." Any suggestions for good eats/drinks in walking distance from the park? I've looked at Yelp and seen a couple decent places for curry, tacos, and sushi - any favorites from locals? I'm willing to uber/train/bus a little bit but honestly I'll have been up since 3-4am so little effort goes a long way when I'm walking out of the park at 8pm. I'm staying at the KBF hotel. Thanks! I'd just eat every meal at Mrs. Knott's. . yeah thought it was that good. but I'm sure you'll get some good suggestions. Something about eating fried chicken solo in a family style restaurant just doesn't really thrill me I'm also not huge on bone in fried chicken, gravy, $25+ for a meal, etc etc etc. Glad you enjoyed it though!

This! I'd much rather have a restraint than a claustrophobic covering. I wonder why they didn't go for that option.. How about this one in Japan? Chuck I immediately thought of that upon seeing the modified logs, but couldn't think of what trip/park that photo was from haha. I'd rather be completely closed off than half and half.

The cost to build and the cost/infrastructure to run it... I have no background in how much this costs or what you've got to do to make it work but good luck! It'll be a feat to build it and keep it in shape and keep it locked out from unwanted guests. Or am I just overthinking everything that will have to go into this?

Just got a survey asking a lot about Marvel characters - LOTS about Thor, then XMen, Cap America, The Defenders (Luke Cage, J Jones, Daredevil), and a series of questions on a dark ride idea called "Fairy World". SF doesn't have the rights to Marvel, right? Guess they're seeing what people think about non DC characters? A lot of super hero movie questions as well (did you see/do you want to see/will you). I didn't know there's a Venom movie coming out. Dope!

I would have expected something like a head-check checkpoint at a couple points along the ride. Anyone standing up just gets a whack in the head to sit 'em back down. Look at how tame this flume is It's final drop isn't even a drop, it's like a gradual descent Oh and they also have signs throughout the ride stating to sit. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]

Dreamworld had closed their log flume post the rapids ride accident and it has recently re-opened with a modification to the logs. "As part of Dreamworld’s park-wide safety and engineering processes we undertook a major overhaul of the iconic Log Ride to ensure the ride remains a part of Dreamworld’s attractions offer for many years to come. We've added a Perspex canopy to prevent riders from standing up at any point during the ride." It's too bad common sense isn't enough. Of all the flumes out there, this is one of the most tame. This makes me feel claustrophobic and I'm not claustrophobic :/ Get splashed from angles you've never experienced before on a flume???

Exterminator Reverchon at KW. ---- Skipping to the bottom River King Mine Train Arrow at SFSTL. - Surprisingly awful. You'd think hey it's just a mine train! It barely got 10ft off the ground but managed to smash my knees, give me whiplash, and the shared restraint is the worst. Ninja Arrow at SFSTL. - This was expected to be awful and it was. Hurler International at Carowinds. - Rode it once in the mid 2000's and will never ride it again! That ride was truly awful and was right up there with the worst rides on Son of Beast, Beast (it got really bad during the end of the Paramount era). Zeus CCI at MtOlympus. - The worst ride I've been on in recent years. I was expecting Hades to steal the show but Zeus shuffled, jackhammered, and threw me around relentlessly. When we arrived back in the station the next 2 people waiting for my row saw the look on my face and switched to a different row. Screw this ride, it was truly a piece of crap. -

Shoot, you can only see the top 5, which is fair. Are we going to be able to look at other user's entire ranks in future updates? Spotlight on bill; here's all I can see -

Is it just me or have all of these new vekoma loopers featured underground sections or tunnels? Epic! -
I made a return visit to Minneapolis over the holiday weekend so of course that means I need to swing through Nick Universe on the way to the airport! For MLK Monday it was more crowded than my first visit over Labor Day weekend. Waited about 15 for Spongebob, arguably the best coaster there. Great drop, smooth, and the slow approach towards the ceiling doesn't get old! Log Chute - we waited about 45 minutes since nearly every log had only 2 people in it, but that's okay. It's the longest ride in the park and also the best ride in the park. I got to sit in the front on this go around and I got to experience how steep the first drop is! Holy crap hanging over the top was more thrilling than Valravn I love this flume and thankfully I didn't get too wet before heading to the airport. Oh - they dressed up the giant with a Vikings jersey! Fitting for the incredible win on Sunday. Where else in the Midwest in winter can you go on quality rides like these? MoA is the spot. Very underrated flume You can get some Intamin hotness here Even Odd Coaster was sporting a 15-20 minute wait Show your best CaveBob face for the camera! Your source for some airtime in January Minneahaha Falls - here's what it looks like at -10*F

From the main entrance, it's exactly 1 mile haha. Not too much help from the Marina entrance. What's your best mile time? How about .8? -

I tried both. Still getting the "no" symbol as soon as I click arrow or coaster name. I can drag, but cannot drop anywhere. I tried Firefox. I was able to drag coasters to the ranking list. Still no drag and drop in Chrome. Weird, I'm able to drag and drop in Chrome. Just not save. You can’t save because there’s nothing for it to save. If you drag on the arrow from the lower grey box into the upper area, it should move, and then save will work. I totally whiffed on that one. Thanks for pointing that out! I've got it now. -
