  1. This park isn't really abandoned, but at Cascade Park north of Pittsburgh PA, you can see lots of remains of the park that once was there. The amusment rides closed in 1981, and sience then it has been a community park. You can still find most of the supports to the coaster, along with many other buildings from the old park.
  2. Great There is a very slim chance I will be able to visit there this summer, mabye next summer.
  3. I believe when the park opens in May, but I wouldn't be suprised if it didn't open when the park opened.
  4. Awesome. How's the Sea Dragon Doing? It is still listed as SBNO on RCDB. Mabye I'll visit there next year.
  5. The Jackrabbit at Kennywood's double dip. The Thunderbolt at kennywood's last 2 hills.
  6. 1- How Kennywood renamed the Old Mill Garfields Nightmare. 2- How Clementon park's Tsunami, J2, Puma, Hellcat has changed names 4 times in 4 seasons.
  7. Look, I was right. In 2 months, it went from being Puma to 'Hellcat' as Screamscape says. This has to be some sort of record for most names to a coaster. Here's the link: www.screamscape.com/html/smaller_parks.htm
  8. Really great job. Wish I could visit there someday.

  10. I went on Memorial Day weekend in '06. The park was crowded but not very crowded. The lines forsome of the coasters seemed very long. I wound up only riding 9 of the 16 (now 17) coasters. Last year I went on a weekday in late June and the park was dead.
  11. Well, I plan on going sometime in August. We plan on hitting Drorney and SFGA in 2 days then headed to Wildwood NJ. Damn 15$ if pretty steep for parking.
  12. From Meadville Tribune CONNEAUT LAKE — When the historic Dreamland Ballroom was destroyed by fire last month, many rumors of arson being the cause were heard throughout the community. A Pennsylvania State Police fire marshal ruled the cause of the fire at Conneaut Lake Park was “undetermined,” but the investigation didn’t end there. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms of the FBI now has joined forces with state police to determine whether the early-February fire — as well as two other fires in the park, the former Flynn House and a cottage behind the McClure House — were acts of arson. The Flynn House, owned by the park, went up in flames in October of 2005. The cottage wasn’t owned by the park, but by a private person. It was destroyed in 2006 and, after that, the owner had the debris removed and a lease on the land was sold to another person. The McClure House, which is the oldest building in the park, wasn’t affected by the fire, but it’s in a deteriorating condition. Officials from the ATF confirmed Monday that an agent and a dog have spent time at the Dreamland Ballroom scene for hours and days over the past “two or three weeks.” The ATF’s involvement was a result of a combination of factors, including a request by the state police and park officials to assist, as well as public concern. Officials said sometimes insurance companies request the ATF, but noted that wasn’t true in this request. Although the federal agents are involved, officials cautioned the public not to expect rulings immediately. “We have just started. It takes time,” said one official, who asked not to be identified. “We just want to see if we can resolve what this is all about,” he said of the cause of the fire. He agreed that the PSP’s official ruling of the cause of the fire at Dreamland remains undetermined, saying that will remain until — or unless —something different can be determined. In the meantime, the debris hasn’t been cleaned up and won’t be immediately pending further investigation. Causes of the fires at the former Flynn House and the cottage also were ruled undetermined. Anyone from the public who may believe he or she has information about any of the three fires may call (814) 327-6892 or (412) 395-0540. The latter is the Pittsburgh office, which handles calls when there is nobody in the Erie office.
  13. ^I plan on going there this summer. When is the least crowded time to go? And is it possible to ride all, or at least most of, the coasters in one day?
  14. ^The only games in the arcade were the skeeball games and they were not damaged. I heard they were going to remove them from the building and then demolish it.
  15. I don't even ask to do it at the smaller parks. They seem not to care. At the larger parks, I have never even asked to attempt a POV.
  16. Damn it. I was planning to go there in June to ride it but that's not going to happen. I might as well not go to Delgrosso's this year now becauce it dosn't look like they are going to set up the Revolution next year either. Later this summer..... that would be August right?
  17. A light blue Adidas T-shirt with a dark blue long sleaved shirt under it. Blue Levi jeans Black socks Blue boxers
  18. Here's a pic I took in '05 of the midway at Conneaut Lake Park. It's Empty. Conneaut Lake Park Midway
  19. I'm sorry to say this, but I'm giong to have to say Conneaut Lake Park. On a weekday, you literally had to walk through the empty midways and find somone to operate one of the few rides that were operating. I became interested in the park again in 2004, and I returned to the park that year. About half the rides weren't operating and the Blue Streak looked like it was ready to collapse. In the following years it looked to be getting better. They reopened several rides, rebuilt sections of the Blue Streak, and pressure washed all of the buildings. It seemed like attendance was going up also. I do not know why everyone is saying Lakemont. I was there last year and the park was packed, and all of the rides were freshly painted and operating well.
  20. Midway Park has now been confirmed, so that makes Darien Lake a great possibility, and also Clementon Park is now a great possibility.
