  1. There are several I've missed, but these ones make me very mad. Dragster-Cedar Point, lines Son of Beast-Kings Island, scard Wildcat-Hersheypark, no time J2-Clementon, didn't feel like going there Hercules-Dorney, scard
  2. I visited the park on Feb. 3 and noticed that all of the rides still had their moters attached except for the Musik Express, Trabant, and Round Up. The Tumble Bug was missing one of the moters in the front. This is a big blow for the Bug because all of the spare moters and the tools and materials needed to make parts for the ride were lost in the fire.

  4. There looks like there is a nice crowd there. I went in August and the park looked dead.
  5. I was up there today and it isn't as bad as I thought it was. The remains were still smouldering and there were even spots that were still on fire. The fire company was there putting water on some hot spots. There were a lot of people up there in awe taking pictures and crying. I heard somone saying they were going to try and sell the giant pieces of metal for scrap and make some money. There is a lot of metal up there and they could make some decent money. The games in the arcade were fine but the building wasn't. The glass covers on the lights and the plastic trash cans on the midway were all mealted from the heat. It looks like some of the food equipment and the things in the matnince shop can be saved. I saw the Dreamland Ballroom sign lying on the ground half burned. That made me sad. After the cause is determined and the mess is cleaned up they can see what they can do. I think now it isssible they can bounce back from this fire. Looking at the rest of the park the Blue Streak looks to be in decent shape. All of the wood looks in good shape and none of it has fallen off. The train was pushed back into the tunnell and blocks of wood were nailed in front of it to keep it from moving. The Tumble Bug cars and moters have been tarped, so they won't be totally destroyed this winter. All of the kiddie rides were disassembled and put into the merry go round building. That is all of the interesting things I noticed. The rest of the park seems to be holding up pretty well. I'll post my video on youtube at some point. I sure hope they can pull off a miracle.
  6. ^The Blue Streak didn't operate in 1995 or 1996. It seemed promising in 2006 they rebuilt the turnaround at the far end of the ride. It's going to cost a hell of a lot to get it running again. I'm headed up there tomorrow to check out the damage.
  7. Ballrooms are old structures which means more than likely the electrical wiring is also bad. There's also a chance of it being arson. After what's happened, IMO the chance of the park reopening are now 50/50. Let's hope for the best that Blue Streak will be saved from the wrecking ball. Anything electrical can be ruled out because there was no power to the building in the first place. The park's power was shut off in June because of unpaid electric bills. There was bad weather that night so it could have been hit by lightning. Mabye the ghosts started the fire.
  8. I'll give you some choice words about the Patriots The Patriots ane sick, dirty loosers who do not know how to win without cheating. Well guess what, just remember CHEATERS NEVER WIN
  9. It's just a matter of time before the rest of the park burns to the ground. This is about the 10th major fire in the park's history. That Ballroom replaced a ballroom that burnt to the ground in 1908. That building wasn't excally in the best of shape anyhow. The roof sagged and it leaked, the siding was rusting, the dance floor was uneven, in fact, I don't even remember the last time there was an event in there. Conneaut Lake Park is really somthing special, and it was fun going there all my life, but I'm ready to move on with my life. I will sure charish the memories forever. I think it's safe to say now, even though I don't want to: RIP Conneaut Lake Park 1892-2006 Still, my favorite place in the world.
  10. Here are a few from the Pittsburgh area. John A Miller- Jackrabbit, Thunderbolt (Pippin) in Kennnywood, used the natural terrain of the park. Edward Vettel- Blue Streak (SBNO) Conneaut Lake Park, simple but thrilling. Andy Vettel- Thunderbolt- Kennywood. The greatest old wooden coaster in the world. Harry Travor- Not just for coasters, but flat rides like the Tumble Bug. The last one is at Kennywood. These are just a few I know.
  11. I was stuck on the Gemini at Cedar Point. We were going up the hill and heard a loud bang and the chain just stopped and we had to walk back down the hill to the station.
  12. That's a shame about the Jackrabbit, but what's even more a shame is they have renamed J2, Puma. What does that even Mean? They really have to learn to pick a name and stick with it. Watch, I bet next year it will be named somthing different
  13. Leap the Dips-1902 Jackrabbit Kennywood-1921 Thunderbold Kennywood-1924 Racer Kennywood-1927 Big Dipper Geauga Lake-1920s Blue Streak Conneaut Lake Park- 1937
  14. Basically, all of the coasters that once were at GL. If you count the three standing at Conneaut lake park, which I don't, then those also.
  15. I think so, it didn't work too well. Hopfully this will work.
  16. By Far: Blue Streak-CLP
  17. 2002 Toboggan-Conneaut Lake Park 2007 Maverik-Cedar point 2008 Flying Turns-Knoebels Ravine Flyer II-Waldemeer Delgrosso's?????
  18. I hope it isn't another coaster. That looks like it is around the area of the Maverik to me.
  19. Dominator: Geouga Lake www.geaugalaketoday.com/Desktops/Dominator%20800.jpg
  20. I hope they dont take the ride out. If at least a ride is there I will be happy.
  21. The Mavrik has to be by far the best coaster I've ever rode. And I only had to wait in line for a 1/2 hour.
  22. I don't blane them if they remove Canyon River Rapids. I would always ride a coaster rather than a water ride.
