  1. Great Tr, and the park looks alright. That Hurricane coaster looks to be in very poor shape however.
  2. The Hotel and Beach Club are now open for business, and there are still plans to get the Devil's Den and Train operating by October for the Haunted Park event.
  3. It;s possible that they just haven't updated that page to include Farenheit yet.
  4. Ya, it also reminds me of the coasters at former Paramount parks called mostly, Fairly Odd Coaster.

  7. I visited there for the first time in July. My top 5: Kingda Ka El Toro Superman Nitro Medusa
  8. I would much rather ride a classic wood coaster rather than a steel coaster any day.
  9. Mine has to be either the Phoenix at Knoebels, or the Phantom at Kennywood. Can't forget the Jackrabbit at Kennywood with the double dip.
  10. The Devil's Den at Conneaut Lake Park, gum is on the wall all up the lift hill and at the top of the hill before the drop. Also at Kennywood in the que for the Log Jammer, there is gum not on a wall but in an evergreen tree.
  11. This looks great, I'm now going there next season to ride it and pick up my missing credits.
  12. I have never done that before. I normally ride these coasters with my small cousin.
  13. Great pics. Question, is that Haunted Mansion ride at Funland a coaster? CF says it is.
  14. This happened at Conneaut Lake Park in 2006 when lightning struck the top of the lift hill and the curant traveled down the chain and ruined the lift moter. They had it operating again in less than a week.
  15. They could have just gotten off the Exterminator where the seatbelts are only supposed to be buckled when a child is riding. True, but the Jackrabbit dosn't have lap bars like the Exterminator.
  16. Today I was on the Jackrabbit at Kennywood and there were 2 teen-age girls sitting in front of me. When the ride op came to check their seatbelts, they heald the seatbelt in their hand and said "are we supposed to buckle these?"
  17. They said they will try to have the train and Devil's Den open this October, but if the money is there, it could reopen in 2009.
  18. Better days may soon be ahead for financially-troubled Conneaut Lake Park. A lease agreement has been reached. Read more: www.meadvilletribune.com/local/local_story_210235834.html
  19. The pictures are very cool, but I don't think they would look good on a calander.
  20. Today while working in the Small Fries food stand at Kennywood, I was asked not once but twice if they sell fries there.
  21. Great TR. I hope to visit these parks someday. The Swamp Fox looks like a great old woodie.
