One again the pre-announcement dissapointment astounds me...

How is the quality of SFMM"S indoor haunted maze (s?) Here at SFNE we used to have Brutal Planet which was pretty good, but now we have the outdoor trail throught the woods, the drained lazy river (nightmare island) walk-thru and the lame 3D clown haunted house. I'm not sure which is going to be at SFNE this year but I was surprised at how good the Trail Of Terror was!

Everest previewed long before it opened but don't get your hopes up just in case... They may have some parts they are waiting for/construction difficulties or something of that nature making opening the ride early impossible.

That's whack... I liked the original name.

I think if I enclose the entire lift it will eliminate that problem, I can also add some more trees and perhaps another dino scene in the area before the lift.

^ I've seen one of those on either the ikirmes or ekirmes dvds, who the hell makes that ride and what is it called?

I'm so psyched about this HHN! What do you think they mean by "your eyes will become useless" for the "Psycho Path" maze? I'm hoping it's another completely dark maze like Pitch Black in 2001. I'll be at the event Sept 30 if anyone wants to meet up!

The idea is pretty cool, a little weird... but yeah it could work for them.

I would love to try an actual mexican taco... An American taco is basically "How much crap can we fit into our gordita shell this week?" type of deal. Seriously... does anyone else notice that? Every friggin week taco bell releases a new breed of taco into the world, and they just get more and more bizzare...

While I'm taking a break from building the place, I'm going over some options, let me know what you think an dplease include any suggestions for a Universal ride you might want to see, or perhaps tweak an exisiting ride... *Terminator: The Ride-This will be a heavily themed indoor tracked robocoaster (which was originally going to be used as the Van Helsing ride at USO before Mummy was built) *Spongebob themed waterpark, I don't really care for Spongebob, but I just got a ton of spongebob theming that looks pretty good. I may incorporate it into a small kids waterpark kind of like the one at USO themed to "Feivel". *Need ideas on how to make a modern-day Jaws... I've also been getting lots of coaster detailing parts to add to my exisiting coasters like launch fins, lift motors so al lof them will be detailed further. For Dueling Dragons, both coasters will go down spiralling drops and perform their duels in front of the drops and down in the canyon. Towards the ends of the tracks, both coasters will take indepent sides of the lift hills before going for one last corkscrew duel and then hitting the brakes. Remember, the wind dragon will focus more on inversions and aerial maneuvers while Earth dragon will stay close to the ground and feature tunnels. Let's keep these ideas coming to make this a decent park...

is HKDL's Space Mountain the same layout as DLR's? I love the new Vekoma Space Mountain... and this one looks just as nice.

Wow, I never realized it had such cool looking trains! You're right, the layout is simple but I would love it due to all the heartlining it has. Why did this concept have to die?!

Well, while the sides will be streamlines of course the open-ness of the trains will take away some from that "sleek" look you mentioned. It's just bare bones... seats and restrains, wheels and covers. I think they were going for the "immense stength" look anyways... WTF is up with that laughing, spinning, crazy house-on-a-stick ride?

Yeah, the artsy stuff is very weird but the actual scientific exhibit sounds interesting. I think I would be all set missing it though...

I'll be working overtime with holiday pay for the next few days, so no complaints here. Money's going to get a new camera for my next trips.

Could you post photos of this ride here? I've only seen a couple of them and they didn't show much of the ride. It would be great to get an idea of the layout.

^^^^ QueerRudie said it best... ANY new coaster is great news for BGE and this coaster is going to be INTENSE. I can't believe this thread was buried under so many others... I guess posting will pick up here as soon as track arrives.

I agree with the person they said they should've kept with a subway theme. That ride would definately be more interesting if they had gotten themed "subway trains" and perhaps add a couple of tunnels. (the station already is themed to a subway train station) Then you could get away with the old name and have a whole new ride experience. I hope it's true what you say about the new flags witht the new blah name being just to direct people's attention.

So far, I'm kind of pleased with what I've been hearing about what the houses this year... While I too would like to see some brand new houses, part of me would rather see new versions of old concepts instead of having a new "dud" house each year. Each of the mazes they are setting up has been one of the best for the year it was featured in. I'd much rather see "Run 2" which the first one has been one of my favorites than a new "Disorientorium" or "Cold Blind Terror" which is jus always a dissapointment. Maybe this will be the year they have no "dud" houses.

One of the parks has a really large haunted hospital walk-thru that I heard was really good. I forget which park it's at though...

Does that mean they're removing that cool bridge that goes through the cobra roll? Or is that the only way to get to the rapids ride, I forget...

I have many non enthusiast friends who think Dragster is the best ride in the park... besides, how is this anything like TTD besides the fact they are the same color and manufacturer? I think it's looking great so far, and this is only half of it!

Actually DLP had plans for a Cars ride even WAY before the movie came out. It's mandatory for all pixar movies to have a ride now.
