  1. For anyone going to GADV, the ET stopping on the lift hill seems to be an every day thing. They test the blocking system for the first hour or so of operation and then open the ride up. I'm surprised Ka is still down, I actually like that ride... if the wait is 10 minutes or so.
  2. A lot of this guys stuff is actually pretty cool. Check out his flea market masterpiece remixes!
  3. I would say this is crazy... but I've done the same thing for SFNE's SROS. I will still never get sick of that ride!
  4. Nice TR, I hope the lines for Soarin' and Everest are as short when I leave for Orlando in 2 weeks. It will be my first time riding Everest and my families first ride on A LOT of Disney attractions including Soarin', Test Track, Mission Space... you gotta love hurricane season.
  5. Awesome photos! I love the earthly colors all the slides have, blends in with the terrain nicely!
  6. Perhaps we can get an off-season employee to snap some shots of Griffon's construction, even hard to see coasters like this always seem to get some construction shots.
  7. Yes... once I get a day off from work I'll most likely be able to get some of the park done, I just don't want to rush it and have it turn out crappy.
  8. Awesome report! I'll be down there in... (holy crap...) 2 weeks from today. I should probably start buying tickets.
  9. What I wanna know is who is this "Nebraska waterpark company"?
  10. I see GADV has busted out the cheeseclothes of terror for Halloween. Will they actually have a haunted house this year?
  11. ^ Very cool. Die In was my favorite house of XIII and I'm looking forward to this completely different "sequel".
  12. Very cool video! I finally know what the coaster does after the launch, the construction phtoos were a little confusing as to what the layout was. Sea World should of installed one of these at one of its parks to mix it up a bit.
  13. It's funny and all... but why would he pick Disneyland to show off the figure? They have nothing to do with the treatment of terror suspects. Or do they??? I too can't believe they didn't notice a painting was switched over 3 days! This guy is pretty clever.
  14. By the time I make it to Japan, Disney will probably have a Journey installed stateside... This ride is definately the one I've wanted to try the most since it's opened, hopefully I can make the NEXT Japan trip after college.
  15. Yeah, those scream shields are there to keep the neighbors from crying about the sound. Why you would move next to Disneyland and expect dead silence is beyond me... It's also the reason why California Screamin' has those weird half-tunnels.
  16. Oooo, you guys have the automatic scorekeeping screens and everything... The bowling alley which is a block from my house is still stuck in the 80's.
  17. Jeez, even I have the X credit and I live in the northeast! Sorry to hear that... Maybe with the opening of Eejanaika they're applying modifications to the the prototype (X) so it can finally be reliable.
  18. If it's going to open as late as 2011, it is reasonable to assume the park can be as well-themed as the concept art shows. I wonder what kind of Intamin it will be...
  19. Especiall ynice Storm Runner photos, and props for getting some shots of the new water play area. I didn't realize it would have a couple "big slides", that purple one looks twisted!
  20. Two of SFMM's coasters come to mind. Goliath's insane helix and the bottom of Tatsu's pretzel loop. Both of which basically seem to squeeze the life out of you.
  21. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14680499/ The above is an older article but it was announced on the news today the project has been approved. As I find out more details I will post them here. This waterpark is being built in West Warwick, RI - very close to the proposed site for the Narraganset Indian Casino which will be voted on later this year. RI wants a casino to keep revenue in the state instead of going to the Connecticutt casinos (Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun) It looks like the casino area is shaping up to be more of an entertainment district with the announcement of the indoor waterpark. This is a big deal for Rhode Islanders as we have no theme/waterparks since the closing of Rocky Point. (which also happened to be in Warwick in the 90's)
  22. I had never even heard of this park, pretty interesting having an amusement park on a rooftop!
  23. I loved Marineland's Huss Magic. It was pretty gentle but definately unique. The bear theming is a little weird...
  24. That's cool how the track exits the building for an outdoor portion of the ride. Wasn't the coaster also supposed to dip out of the top of the building in front of the facade in the concept art/models? It doesn't appear to in the recent construction photos I've seen.
  25. Still no signs of Eddie, hopefully he'll at least be in Run...
