Hehe, Providence is #22 (my home city) and I believe it... The whole New England area is full of ultra conservative jerks. Can't believe all the mean cities in FL... you guys have palm trees for crying out loud!

Cosmo, I'll be at HHN on the 30th if you want to meet up. I'm sure we'll bump into eachother in the stay and scream area. Heh, we're prolly the only two Rhode Islanders that will see HHN this year. -

I always thought (from photos I've seen) that the ride was out of place... Maybe they'll use the land for a real coaster and not a powered kiddy ride. -
X-Scream...
ECZenith replied to thrillrideseeker's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'll be dead honest with you, I don't think there's any way I'd be able to go on any ride on top of the Stratosphere tower and since they've stripped it of its credit I have no need to go up there. I can handle heights, drop towers etc. but Stratosphere is pushing it. I don't think I'd even be able to stand outside on the observation decks without being overcome by vertigo. -
Parks With Insane Rides
ECZenith replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I prefer carnival rides to theme park's versions any day. They're mostly run better and have longer ride cycles. I guess I like the gamble a little bit considering most of the rides are assembled by meth addicts. -

Thanks for the awesome photos, especially the HHN construction. So far it looks really elaborate and we haven't een seen pics of the mazes yet! 11 more days for me! -
Parks With Insane Rides

The manually operated Top Scan at Long Island Adventureland ran for SUCH long cycle and just overall seemed more intense that the two other top scans I've ridden. Also, around 2002 they were running their extremely rare Mondial Supernova to the point where it was nearly flipping upside down. Too bad they got rid of both rides... -

They don't allow photos or videos in the mazes but everything else is game. -
I had to vote for other. Here in New Eng;and we have "Papa Gino's" pizza and it's just awesome. I had no idea they were sort of a local thing until I started travelling alot and realized there were none around.

Best B&M collection?
ECZenith replied to colossus's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
BGA Hands down. Kumba is still one of my favorite B&Ms to this day and Sheikra is my #4 favorite coaster. Montu is just the icing on the cake... -

I always thought the name 'Paradox' would be a good name for a coaster so good work there! -
Best Theme Park Show You Have Seen.
ECZenith replied to methos's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Two words... Bill & Ted While I feel the show has kind of gone downhill in recent years, I never miss it when at HHN. The best one by far was the first one I saw in 2001, maybe because the whole concept was new to me... -

^I may have said this before for someone who asked so I apologize if it's posted somewhere else... In the CGI video it appears to only "launch" around 10-15 mph, about the same speed as MF's cable lift. It also looked more like a constant pulse than one solid launch. Then again, it could end up being different than the animation showed. -
Halloween Horror Nights XVI
ECZenith replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Hopefully the houses that get busier will be opened for stay and screamers first. I really want to try to get everything done without express passes. I can use the 50 bucks for oh... let's say a side trip to BGA. I can't believe how expensive this event has gotten, but it will most likely be better than the last 4 events since it's back at the studios. I just recently bought an Olympus Stylus 7.1 mp camera so prepare for a massive update in a couple weeks. Can't wait! So, is anyone else going on the 30th of Sept?? -

The line for TTD still gets to be 4 1/2 hours long??? I've never seen it that long in its debut year, hell I haven't even seen Kingda Ka's line get THAT long. -
It was easily the best concert I've ever been to. They had the giant floating pig and the floating astronaut that came across the stage. The band sounded just as good as the original. Roger Waters, being the creative input of the band since Syd Barret left is really IMO the heart of Pink Floyd so to see him live was just awe-inspiring. Roger Waters band also features the famous surrounding speakers that makes even the worst seats in the arena sound awesome, with different levels of sound coming at you from different angles, not to mention the pyrotechnics/lasers/lightshows that Floyd was known for. Here's the setlist... Roger Waters 9/8/2006 Tweeter Center Mansfield, MA Set 1 In The Flesh Mother Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun Shine On You Crazy Diamond Have A Cigar Wish You Were Here Southampton Dock Fletcher Memorial Home Perfect Sense 1 & 2 Leaving Beirut Sheep Set 2 Breathe Time/Breathe Reprise Great Gig In The Sky Money Us & Them/Any Colour You Like Brain Damage Eclipse Encore: Another Brick In The Wall Part 2 Vera/Bring The Boys Back Home Comfortably Numb You're in for a treat, to say the least. How is it possible that someone else loves Floyd and thrill rides as much as I do? Have fun!
