  1. I'd imagine it requires a lot of maintenance being the world's first steel coaster (s) and being so old.
  2. Is this an RCT3 project?
  3. I may get some video next week but I won't be making a DVD. I'll be sure to upload any videos and of course a photo report from Sept. 30.
  4. I also guess robocoaster (looks good!) and an Intamin first gen FREEFALL tower. A gyro drop has the round seating gondola.
  5. I wanted the ride to be as different as possible from the original and the vertical loops with the original lift hills and drops would have probably been too similar.
  6. I also have noticed that 2007 is the year of the vertical/weird drops. And that's not a bad thing.
  7. Got a package in the mail today... INTAMIN and Vekoma pins, if only B&M made one... Woo, a package...
  8. I didn't provide a link for the trailer, my bad... here it is. http://www.my2centences.com/index2.html Enter the site and check out the bottom right hand corner.
  9. There's at least three moments in the ride that appear to have airtime (just judging from the video) Check out that tiny hill after the big drop! Of course it will have air, moreso than Thunderhead for sure.
  10. ^ Thanks Robb and TJ for the info, and of course the greta promo photos. Sorry to be such a HHN nerd... but has anyone seen this year's pin design, are they on sale yet?
  11. Here's one for ya... ___________ by the sea.
  12. See the Cyclone demolition thread for turtle details. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=29150&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=60
  13. Journey To The Center Of The Earth Tokyo DisneySea I've heard nothing but great things about the ride and from the photos/video I've seen it's just amazing.
  14. I visited for the first time in May and I didn't understand all the hate. They had a better balance of rides IMO than SFMM (great dark ride, 3 water rides and they actually had GOOD flat rides) KBF definately wins in the theming dept. with the ghost town section and two heavily themed rides. Unfortunately Ghostrider was down when I went so I missed the credit, so I can't comment on how they compare to other socal woodies.
  15. To answer your other question Mamba IS an airtime machine. I just had a friend come back from WoF and they liked it better than Steel Force even though they are quite similar.
  16. Wow, looks like the curving drop after the flat launch run is bigger than I expected. Good stuff!
  17. ^ Better than nothing. And to build an inverted coaster better than raptor would be insanely difficult considering it's a matter of opinion.
  18. I don't pay attention to this thread for a few days... and now there are newts involved? LMAO!
  19. ^ Ah, well that certainly clears things up. There's probably just as many coasters in english-speaking countries called just "roller coaster" so that makes sense.
  20. I better order one on payday... it's already getting cold here in New England.
  21. I liked it, good use of the terrain. I can't comment on jerkiness etc. as I am no better at No Limits than any of you here... I can barely make a working coaster!
  22. Cool, I actually like that better. It somehow reminds me of Oakwood's Speed ride, like a Eurofighter meets bobsled sort of deal.
  23. Thank you all for the comments, next ride will be JAWS and will be located close to DD's Immelman, in the lagoon of course. Still trying to decide if I want to put a weird twist on the ride or keep it basically the same, a mild tour boat ride or maybe a Jaws rapids ride? Any ideas, thoughts? An entire area will be built to accomodate the ride and will also have several "boardwalk" rides throughout Amityville. (Ironically Jaws will not be located in the Hollywood section of the park, I'm saving that for Terminator, Mummy, etc.)
  24. It's in the basic scenery tab. The name is PARTICLE - MIST. Hope this helps.
  25. Just curious Izak, how do you not have a "total posts" line? Thanks for that info though, it would have been cool to experience a ride with usch intense drops in the dark.
