  1. Nice pics, I love the photo of the new boat replacing the old one. Definately my favorite water ride, thrillwise.
  2. Ok... this thread has inspired to get out in the backyard and start cutting down the rest of the path. I may actually have it set up for EARLY November as the price of haunt props drops significantly on Nov 1. My walkthough, as always, is free of charge and many people think it's well done. I'll take you through the process as I make progress. By the way... nice hat! Go Pats! Time to start unpacking the props... Here's about 5% of it. I have to go digging around the attic for the rest of my crap. Thanks for checking this out! Where I hope to exit this year. Those who have been to my haunt before know I always have one really bad scare at the end. I'm currently removing the chain from an old chainsaw, this ought to be fun. The LONG rear portion of the path where most of the actors hide. I hope to have 4 or 5 this year. The trail itself is about 1/5 mile long and I've cleared it all out myself over the years. It just gets longer every year. Let's get hackin'! I cleared out a LOT of the path in a couple hours, I have tomorrow off as well so I can work on it some. My dome would make a great prop... The day before I left for FL I fixed up my rock-lined path that leads down the hill and to the rear path. I cleared this area out years ago, it makes for the perfect entrance to my haunt. I have a lot of dense woods back there, at night with the fog and strobes it looks creepy enough... even without props.
  3. I have used this catalog alot for my backyard haunt, they may have it. http://www.frightcatalog.com/
  4. The overbank and heartline rolls are sick-looking! I can't wait to see the theming start coming in after trackwork is done.
  5. Ah, I see it now, sorry for the confusion. What a shame...
  6. Homer, from the first page... "However, for the rest of the country, only the "don't work" and "don't drive" things caught on. so seeing how there arent any cars in the streets, and nobody goes to work, basically the only things on the road are bicycles, skateboards, skates and scooters. Even on the freeway!!! And going the wrong way, too! and all the busy places like the stock market district are practically abandoned! " I love culture reports! Thanks for sharing.
  7. I remember being like 12 when the first one came out and how hard it was to build. Can't believe they've made like 10 new sets since then.
  8. Best photo TR ever Pete! Most people call this street "Seven Hills" , I have to drive it a few times a week when I take my clients for therapy sessions on Highland Ave. Airtime-a-plenty! I've bottomed my poor Neon out so many times on that hill.
  9. I agree... it's a whole new low. To quote Halloween Horror Nights XI's Scary Tales, "It's a cruel cruel world..."
  10. Arrange a fake casting call for Allysa Milano, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jessica Alba.
  11. I think the boat display is the best from your photos. Really amazing stuff! Thanks for sharing.
  12. RNRC is awesome, and worth much more than just a credit stop! Enjoy the GOOD tower! I just came back and the place was practically dead. Half empty Splash Mountain logs on a Sunday... or is it half full?
  13. If anyone buys one of those for their cat/dog I'm calling the Humane Society!
  14. Wow, I just got a camera with an XD slot, and I have just got an XD card for it... All these weeks I thought when I saw XD it was in reference to this media format. Where does this crap come from???
  15. Heh, that's cute. A girl I work with has a little USB fish tank but it doesn't respond to your typing. The fish just kind of randomly swim around.
  16. I always wondered why the place was called "Suzuka Circuit"... Now I know.
  17. WDW's Space Mountain on Sunday, the Cali version rocks ours...
  18. To clear up on the Zambezi Zinger. My friend lives out in that area and was very sad to see it go. (It closed in '97) He told me it was actually Mamba that replaced part of the Zinger's footprint (opened in '98) as the Boomerang did not open until 2000. If they replaced a classic Schwarzkopf with a Vekoma Boomerang it's just further proof there is NO GOD! Looking forward to riding my first "spiral lift" Schwarzy on the midwest trip.
  19. Looking forward to your photos, try to take some of the pins in the gift shop for the rides so I know what I can get next year.
  20. You've got to remember, CP pretty much HAS to add big fancy coasters year after year as they have that reputation to uphold as the coaster capitol of the world. Renegade will definately satisfy the "GP" and definately myself and many other enthusiasts. I've never been and I'm thinking of making a trip out there for this, Mall Of America, and a Twins game next year. I do see your point though... A beemer would look pretty nice at VF and would balance out the types of rides they have there. But CP does get all the attention.
  21. I agree with Elekterik, Pteranadon Flyers is great fun, lots of swinging and awesome surroundings.
  22. Are they still doing the "house of the week" thing at HHN to reward the crews? I definately think Screamhouse should get it. Those actors were really "feeling it".
  23. I think it's bullsh*t they even said anything about it. Give the person it offends a box of tissues and move on.
  24. You get something that expensive for your 17th birthday?!?! Yowza... Lucky you!
