  1. They were just saying on 'E' yesterday that he's in horrible debt and at one point was actually selling t-shirts to keep his house. Pathetic...
  2. It was very odd seeing the images of the burning building on TV yesterday and even stranger to hear it was a Yankees pitcher. Must have just been a horrible accident.
  3. ^ Is it just me, or is one of the guys on the show's wife (the redhead) incredibly hot?
  4. Where exactly is Disney-MGM building their new "Midway Mania" ride. (I hope that's a working title. It seems like DCA's version might be partially outdoor under California Screamin's structure, but where will MGM's fit?
  5. Gotta go slightly off topic for a minute here... I would like to go for a short trip out to MN next spring for VF and MOA. How much distance is between the two and how far is either place from the airport? Can it be done without a rentacar? IMO, Renegade is the one thing I needed to finally head out in that direction.
  6. I've always been interested in this weird Schwarzkopf, glad to see it got a new home that wasn't a scrapyard.
  7. ::Sigh:: Why do I get the feeling South Korea will soon have a really big parking lot up North...
  8. History and Discovery are my two favorite channels, so no, you aren't alone.
  9. Cool that you got a lot of photos of the characters. I like how they used a lot of the old ones and just threw them in randomly-Fire/Ice demons, Alice from Scary Tales, etc... Really made that scarezone my favorite.
  10. File this under wrong but funny category. I wonder how DL Paris reacted to this.
  11. Sorry to get off topic, but are there any Rotoshakes running in the US anymore? Which parks still have them?
  12. Sorry to bump this thread, but I'm curious to know if any Japanese TPR members have seen any progress on this new coaster.
  13. Come on now... SFNE's SROS first drop.
  14. What beastly slides, has anyone in the area been able to try them?
  15. They built a whole new building for LMA, unfortunately both times I have been since it opened the show was full, and then last time, was down for maintenance. Nice photos, I love that Indy show.
  16. Nice, hopefully it's an Intamin prefab.
  17. Ok, officially the coolest thing I've seen all day.
  18. Those chinchilas are awesome. Always wanted to get one.
  19. The Lone Kumquat
  20. 10/10/06 *More paths lined with rocks for detail and to keep the paths intact. *All props currently being organized into scenes. *Scenes themselves are currently being designed. This year, after skipping last year I wanted to have a pretty decent walkthorugh and I make up for it by adding 30% to the length of the path and much more detail will be added with so many additional new props. I still need about 2 more actors if I am to do these "show scenes" right throughout the trail. This year's walk will be loosely based on a carnival gone wrong, with show scenes based on the fears of spiders/bats, fear of the dark, and more. The area itself is named "The Feargrounds", I figure after so many years of having these walthroughs it should finally get a name. Once I start building scare rooms and add electronics/props I will put up another update for anyone interested. Tinkering with ideas for a carnival show scene: The Fortune Teller. Thank for checking this out, I'll have an update once there's significant progress. Still lots more props to unpack... More props and most of my electronic equipment. A look at some of the props used for this year's "The Feargrounds". After the animal segment will be the gory midpoint in which you will have to push through dismembered body parts to get through. It will then lead to the second rocklined path shown above. A room will be built here to hide an actor and a fogger. At the end of the spider area, will be the strobe-lit second portion which will hopefully have an actor manning it. This area will feature bats/rats fear of other animals including a giant evil cat that will leap at you from a trashcan. After a short trail past decomposing corpses, there will be a curtain to walk through here to the Arachnophobia segment where it will be very dark and have strings and assorted stuff hanging from the trees above. For the first time, I'm reversing the direction of travel through the trail via the extension of the path. There will be a couple of tiki torches here to grab the attention of people in the street on Halloween.
  21. I always thought the albino boas were cool. My cousin has one and they're pretty easy to take care of, as long as you don't mind the live feeding. Elissa would definately not approve.
  22. ^ Evil Dead II Here's one that's not so easy... "I have ears like a cat! And eyes like a rodent. "
  23. Nice TR, forgive my ignorance but what is "House Bastard"?
  24. I'm glad I spent my $50 bucks elsewhere this year... Good news though!
  25. Nice report, Budapest looks beautiful, can't wait to see the rest of your report!
