  1. Talk about terrain coaster... http://www.rcdb.com/ig3478.htm?picture=8
  2. ^^ That sucks, I was hoping they'd at least have the dark rides opened. Ah well, there's always next spring...
  3. Thunderhead didn't seem THAT amazing from the description but it wowed everyone when it opened. I think it's funny how Renegade and Maverick are almost sister coasters sharing the old west theme, sorta like the Raptor/Talon theme.
  4. Was that rotoshake relocated from a US park? Perhaps Knott's? I believe they had the same theming on theirs.
  5. Holiday World is one of the parks with the best selections of wooden coasters, so yeah, definately worth checking out. I'll be there next year as well.
  6. Yet another "Jet coaster". How many coasters in Japan have that name anyways... let's see-28. That slide looked like it hurt, and I'm also interested in this mysterious tomato. Did you win it in a crane game or something Elissa?
  7. ^ Oooo, very cool. Now we have a much wider view of the progress.
  8. ^ Officially the funniest coaster related thing EVER. As far as the ride goes, I like the twisting frist drop and it has a cool name. I've never been to VF so it's just another reason for me to drag myself out to Minnesota next time my friend goes to see his family out there.
  9. Nice DCA photos, why didn't you ride California Screamin'?
  10. Awesome, this will finally be the year Eddie has a big role in HHN. Just confirms that the house I'm most looking forward to his Run: Hostile Territory.
  11. We used to have a theme park here in New England called Spooky World, closed down 2 years ago... Sorry to go off topic.
  12. Here's an idea of the layout and two more screens. Earth dragon's Immelman/flat spin inversions. Aerial screen showing most of the layout. Overview of the layout.
  13. I would offer tips for the station, but I myself am struggling to make, good original buildings in my park, Theming/layout I can do but buildings - not so good.
  14. Fisherman, can I have a link to your Revenge of The Mummy Ride?
  15. ^ I agree with you on that... Just looks wrong but I still love the layout.
  16. What are you going to use for track? I reccomend using ball bearings for the wheels if you are in fact building this from scratch. Good luck, this is a hell of a venture.
  17. 9-20-06 Sorry for the long wait between updates... Dueling Dragons is complete! I had to rebuild the entire castle because I didn't like the way it came out, and I wanted to perfect the "duels" the ride has so it took some time... Next project will either be JAWS or the kid's spongebob water play area. The dragons race for the final brakes. Next update soon! The final duel of the ride, flat spin/air hill over the pond. A look at the station and queue house. Dueling Dragons third moment of dueling is a dark helix through the castle's tallest tower. Earth dragon spirals down while air heads for the sky. ...but that's where the similarities in layout end. Earth dragon and wind dragon take their seperate paths from the top of the lift hill just like the Orlando version...
  18. Bossman, "Space Chase" was the same model as Movieland's X-Speed. (A Pinfari super train powered coaster)
  19. Wow, I had no idea they had such a huge halloween event! The farm maze sounds awesome. Great night shots, by the way.
  20. Lion's Gate films will be releasing a new movie called "Dark Ride", you can see some details here... http://www.upcominghorrormovies.com/movies/darkride.php At this point it is now known whether the movie will be a theatrical release or go right to DVD but judging from the trailer this looks like it may be an actual SCARY horror movie for once!
  21. Seeing the Roger Waters sho whas reinspired me, and now my favorite band is Pink Floyd, too bad they don't exist anymore.
  22. It can't be inspired THAT much by Griffon, it has a completely different layout, colors etc. Very cool, but give yourself credit, it looks pretty original to me.
  23. Nice, fun and realistic, I could see a park actually building this. So many spinning coasters recently... Nice colors by the way, reminds me of Griffon.
  24. Slot machine names/themes are so random... This one seems to push the random envelope to a whole new level, I love it! Wish my local casino had these.
  25. That's good to hear about the Dragon's queue, I always hated how the express people kind of just all cut in front o fyou at once making you wait even more. Although it will probably be the same effect, just out of eyeshot...
