  1. Wooo, I hope the lack of crowds still exists for my visit Sept. 27-Oct. 1. Hopefully the line for Everest will be as short as the attractions seen in your TR, I haven't yet been on it.
  2. Looks like the park has a nice collection of flat rides! We're down to only one Top Scan here in the US and it's in the state I'm least likely to ever visit... Utah.
  3. The Sound, I didn't have time to make the waterpark on my days off this week but it will be the next project after DD is finished. Everest, My version of Dueling Dragons is teal blue and green because they represent a "wind dragon" vs. an "earth dragon" rather than fire and ice. Earth is more of a terrain coaster while Wind focuses on aerial maneuvers and inversions. That castle is going to be a pain to build... I have no screens but all supports and details have been added to DD besides the castle building.
  4. Watching the POV animation there is a strip of what appear to be either brake fins or LSMs on the straight uphill section after the launch tunnel and left turn. Which/what is that?
  5. Thanks, that will be a big help. ::crosses fingers:: Can't believe it's less than 3 weeks away!
  6. BTW, that support they put up is for that insane 95 degree first drop. I can't wait to see the lift and drop completed!
  7. I thought this coaster looked pretty cool, I hope this is not true... My cousins rode it when it was lethal weapon pursiot and they loved it.
  8. I'm actually very pleased with what they went with for the inversions. That low to the ground heartline roll is going to be sick! Not to mention the corkscrews will be placed over a geyser-filled pond. I'm just glad they built ANYTHING with inversions. CP definately needed a few more of them in the park since the last 3 coasters they built had zero.
  9. ^ You'll see a lot of oos and ahhs from Americans as we don't have this sort of thing here. This is the first time most of us have even heard of these slides. I'm sure they are perfectly safe but you know how our system works... if it even looks dangerous, forget it.
  10. I have not been to Japan but from what I hear, Disney SEA is the best Disney park ever created and has lots of heavily detailed thrill rides and incredible scenery overall. I would go there instead considering you'll be able to spend some time at the original Disneyland in Anaheim.
  11. I agree the ride seems to be designed with the duels in mind but it was never mentioned on the wesbite. I hope the dispatches are timed as the concept video shows, maybe the trains will wait in the launch tunnel for the next train to come over the LSM lift.
  12. So THAT's the video everyone's talking about... Wow, there's a lot more to the Maverick website now that I've checked the whole thing out. I love the colors on the trains being different precious metals, just adds to the potentially awesome theming. That tunnel launch is going to be sick!
  13. Hi, welcome! Yeah, I agree with you... I didn't even consider visiting the place on my recent visit to CA. They must have something in store for the future... This place and SFA need a new coaster pronto!
  14. Ooo, frictionless airtime! That would never be allowed to be built here in Lawsuitland, USA. Looks like an awesome slide.
  15. Fisherman, I don't know what to say besides that is absolutely outstanding work.
  16. I too was going to ask... Groundhogs in every photo Tr of La Ronde? WTF?
  17. If you like, I can work on the spongebob waterpark area tonight for my update. The buildings won't be touched up until later on but I will fix them.
  18. Yeah, I'll be at Universal Studios for that entire day for rides and I am only interested in doing the houses for the event that night. I'm hoping to just get in and hit the houses as they open avoiding any big waits, if I understand this correctly, the waits just get longer and longer as the night goes on but I'm hoping the first hour or so the lines won't be so bad. Thanks for the help.
  19. That looks awesome! We have an upward waterslide (without jets) here at SFNE. It uses high speed conveyor belts to bring rafts up ramps. One of my favorite slides.
  20. I'm going on Sat Sept 30 and would like to know if opening weekend is generally busy for this event. All the other times I have gone in midoctober So I have no idea what the crowds are like on the first Saturday of the event. I would rather not by the express pass if it won't be needed as I can barely scrape by for this Florida trip... Also, it would be nice to be able to buy tickets at the event (after I get paid) than have to worry about getting them now and not having to worry about the event selling out. So to you Orlando residents, what's your best guess? Does the event usually sell out the first weekend, and what have the wait times for houses been like the first weekend. This will be a very big help.
  21. I won't really miss the ride that much. Simulators in general never really did it for me.
  22. ^^ If the actual ride does travel up the LSM lift at the same speed as shown in the video... That looks to be about 10-15 mph: about the same as Millennium Force (14 mph) I wouldn't call it a launch, but it's a matter of opinion.
  23. This is actually better than I expected... I always wanted CP to get a deeply themed ride.
  24. Both of those videos were great, I loved the pipeline coaster concept. I had no idea until today that Alton actually partially built a pipeline before replacing it with Nemesis.
  25. Now that last video... that was FUBAR.
